Poor customer service. They lord over you because they know you need heat. They shut my power off and would not turn it on for 5 days during a blizzard and freezing temperatures. They dont Care about their customers and are overall a terrible company with awful employees.

For years I read my gas and electric meters and ma...

For years I read my gas and electric meters and mailed in those readings to RG&E. When I received my bill the following month it indicated that either the utility read the meters or that the readings were estimated. In other words my efforts were for naught. A few years ago RG&E contacts me claiming their meter reader can't locate my gas and electric meters to take accurate readings. So I take two photos from the street which clearly showed the meters located near the front of my house. I emailed those pictures with the response that if their meter reader needed the name of an eye doctor I would be happy to give them the name of the person I use. This is what happens when a community has to deal with a monopoly.

The winds the day before Thanksgiving were totally expected. So why did it take RGE 18 hours to being to address the poles trees and wires down on Chester Avenue in Chili? 220 of us in the development deserve an answer for the delay, please.

Zero stars if I could. Didn't mail me a bill. When I received next month's bill I immediately paid it including the past due amount. When I phoned to complain that I hadn't received bill, I suffered through ignorant and uneducated person who had no idea what I was referencing. I asked to be connected to supervisor and she refused. I phoned back and requested supervisor again: was placed on hold for extended period, told she was connecting me to supervisor, and then I was cut off. This is the problem with our system here in the United States: we have private utilities that exert a monopoly. We have no choice but to deal with them even though their customer service consists of uneducated and entirely incapable individuals who don't know and DON"T CARE. There are no standards. There are no consequences. And what recourse do we have? Answer: move to a city with a different demographic. Of which there are increasingly few.

Usually I have a hard time dealing with RG&E, but their representative, Nicole R, helped me out! She was very kind and understating. They need more people like her in the call center/office!

Zero stars, Paid my bill on time for 40 years and ...

Zero stars, Paid my bill on time for 40 years and in full. I simply need a copy of my bill to fill in an RGE rebate form. I never had to contact them for any problem in 40 years. I call today and need a copy of the bill. I got zero service. Thanks for taking my money for 40 years and I make a small request for a copy of my bill nobody can do it. I am amazed !!

They ripped down a personal cable going to an ante...

They ripped down a personal cable going to an antenna from my house. When they ripped down the cable, they created a hole in my house that hornets are now using. They made ruts in my land when they drove their truck on my property.
