Cozy little theater that will have you thinking you are in NYC with its look and feel. The seating on the ground level isn't as staggered as some would like. If you are short there is a chance your view will be blocked if you are farther back behind a tall person.

Odd venue. Kind of small. Lots of damage on the roof near the stage. Very very tight seating. It was very uncomfortable sitting there being over 6 foot tall, almost no leg room and directly shoulder to shoulder with the seats next to me. I do not plan on seeing anything else in this theatre.

The building looks like an abandoned high school from the outside, but the theater itself is quite stunning. Although the night was positive overall, there were ocassional issues with the sound that created a buzzing noise during the show. Additionally, the whole entrance / seating process was fairly haphazard. They had two lines (paper tickets and cellphone tickets) and the cellphone ticket line was a mile long, which encourages everyone to print their tickets next time. The problem with the place is that it gives the strong impression that it is mismanaged and poorly run.

First year season subscribers. Good selection of plays, and the theatre, although dated, is well appointed and well staffed. Parking easily available at a cost. No good restaurants walking distance, so plan ahead!

Attended the Stars of Tomorrow performance featuring local high school musical talent. This was the 20th Anniversary and my 11th time attending! What a tremendous example of how RBTL supports local talent...Bob Sagan is an incredible asset to this community!

2/12/2019 Went purchase tickets to Hamilton. Got there around 9:20 a.m my friend let me out to get in line because parking was hard to find. Went inside you had to stop get a armband then fill out a form then go show your credit card and get an authorization written on it. Then go sit in the auditorium and watch the screen until your number appears the go back out and get in the line. I got a number but my friend when she finally parked and came back she had to do this process as well. But our intent was to purchase her 4 tickets me 2tickets for a total of 6 in the same section and the same row. So after wasting an hour and a half. It didn't happen so we ended up leaving with no tickets. It was a hot MESS!!!! Only in ROCHESTER .

My husband and I came here to see Hamilton, and it was absolutely amazing! There were ushers in all the right places to keep traffic moving, even in the bathrooms! I absolutely love this place.

Never had been here before last year and I went with my child's school to see Wicked. Since then I've also seen School of Rock and next is Little Mermaid! I absolutely love it and the plays are amazing! It's great that they are accommodating for the schools so kids are able to attend.

The Rochester Theater Organ Society concerts on that wonderful Wurlitzer are more than worth the price of admission. A membership is an incredible value. The February concert showcases students from the Eastman School of Music and the winner of the ATOS Young Artist Competition. Aaron Hawthorne was brought all the way from Scotland. What a poised young man and an excellent organist. Great afternoon!

Some seats, particularly in the back, are poor. Cannot see performers facial expressions and their interactions. It's almost like radio. Seats are tiny. While sitting back, my knees touch the seat in front. Almost like cattle class on airlines. Staff was helpful.

This venue is practically perfect in nearly every way, but I will not come back. The parking was convenient, the theater is pretty, the staff are all friendly, everything is clean ... But the seats are so small and very close together. It is quite uncomfortable to have people so close behind you, and everyone even slightly larger than average could barely sit properly. Those who are tall or have long legs were struggling to not encroach on their neighbors. It wasn't just a couple of overly big & tall people, it was a problem in every row. It's a shame, the building is beautiful and the sound was fantastic, they just need to upgrade the seats into this century.

Iconic for bringing theatrical and musical performances to Rochester for decades. The seats are comfortable but depending on the location of your seats you may lack leg room. The box offixe hours are convenient.
