It gives 5 stars, I fly very often from this airport, I have not had any problems so far. All OK

There is not even a single socket for connecting a laptop at the whole airport .....

Superb, as always. If our destination isn't available from here we'll not bother going. We've used this airport for many years and have to say it is excellent. Hygiene measures couldn't be better and help to increase passenger confidence under the current circumstances. Everything from the meet and greet parking team to the friendly airport staff are second to none. Also having the benefit of a well organised Wetherspoons for a meal and a drink before flying. Can't wait for my next trip.

Very rude personnel from luggage drop of to security to shop floor. After our departure we have bought another flight to avoid landing in Doncaster again. Such a shame people don't realise it is us who pay to give them these jobs.

Small airport so less hustle and bustle, facilities are good but you pay extra for flights from here.

A great airport and a really chilled and nice travel experience.

Small but perfectly formed. Parking is so easy and the new road makes it a breeze from the M18

we pre booked airport long stay parking and on arrival were driving around and there were no parking spaces, we had to park on the sides, which must be a health, safety and security issue. When we looked over at the short stay parking that was half empty but the barriers were up stopping you from using it. surely knowing this they could have opened the short stay car park to accomadate the problem. we were very dissapointed as we like doncaster airport because it is easy access for us.

Best airport in the world! Everything was just so easy from checking in, security to boarding the plain. Staff were really friendly throughout and even security cracked a smile.

Wasn't flying today but have used it several times. It is a good airport.

Small but capable. Less traffic, decent facilities and good parking.

The only issue we encountered was that the security process was conducted in a compact layout which led to undue stress.

Small, airport, clean, versatile and remote from the city. Everyone who has used it must take a picture with Robin Hood.

Just watched an advert promoting Doncaster Sheffield Airport, they failed to point out that if you do book from there, you are likely to have your flight cancelled with no explanation or compensation and have to rearrange your journey from a proper airport. Don't be fooled by inaccurate advertising campaigns.

Massive improvement since last trip from here, actually seem organised now. Congratulations

Great local airport first time traveling from here this year and was in hassled and smooth. Nice to get through security without massive queues as you get everywhere else and relax before departure. Really impressed will be going from here again and makes it even better by been 20 mins from home! Keep it up!

Arrivals delayed +3h with wizzair and all shops are closed

They'll make you pay for everything extra, even if it's the little transparent bags for liquids, which are (and should be) free at most other airports...

Superb Covid-19 testing centre, quiet and so quick in and out. Staff great.

This queue outside after landing, tragedy. Terribly dirty chairs in the waiting room, I have not seen such anywhere.
Service ok. Easy access to Sheffield.

I used this airport when I last flew our to Paris. It is surprisingly easy to get to and was pleasantly clean when I came to buy food and drink. It's worth adding this place to your list of regular departure airports as I couldn't fault it. No drama just an easy flight.

Worst experience ever in the airports.Was Extorted before boarding a plane by swissport.Their employees refused to show their badge.Very rude service.

This is a decent airport to fly from but the airlines need to catch up with their service

Small airport with a little air traffic, which makes it easier with 15 minutes free parking. Not crowded like most of airports. If travelling from Mansfield, start driving 15 minutes before plane landing. That gets you just in time to meet your passenger at no cost.

I have tried ,without success to contact the airport, and the conclusion is that the telephone system is a complete CON - it is an automatic answering ( Sorry NON answering) sere#vice at 7p per min- hence you are kept on line for a whole load of time wasting silly questions - resulting in the automatic system telling you after some muinutes that the service is no longer available - Totally Disgusting and Shame on the system !!!! If there was a MINUS score on this review then thats what i would give.

Helpful staff make this airport the best for us, All in all a great Airport.

Nice small airport, very simple from driving in to the airport to getting onto the plane. It has all the essentials you'd need in an airport. It would get a 5th star is the prepaid parking charges were better value, tho the process was very simple to book and drive straight out of the airport.

Small but nice airport. Sometimes a bit packed with people and lacking staff. Has all the usual for airport facilities.

Expensive wifi, not many shops, passport check could be faster, cause when you get out of the plane half of the time you have to stand in the shed outside.

Love this airport...No hassle.you park right outside the terminal.so easy.

They misplaced our flights luggage. Never had the decency of keeping us up to date. Put the phone on to answer machine and never gave us a Pir number so we could look on line.

Only minus is Subway there...they charged me twice for my sandwiches!!! Bastard's!

Very quick check in and movement through security. Quickly through security upon return. Plenty of parking but poor public transport links. Very basic range of shops before and after security.

The worst airport I've been to. Very rude personnel who work there. Check in language is always ok but the personal check is a nightmare. Long queue. Usually all 3-4 flights from the day on this small airport are at the same time so people queue for 15-30 minutes not due to the amount of these ppl in the queue but because of the checking SMALL bags. It takes like forever. I know it's all about safety in this country but please be humans. You must be there to see it yourself. Checking your cosmetics with the drug test? Only them have got times to do so. Missed my flight once even I was there more than an hour before the flight. It happens every time. Staff is sometimes not polite and ignorant to people who can't speak English and that's just not right.
Usually you have to go to the boarding gates on the first floor when the personal check is but when I had my gate on the ground floor once I didn't even know where that was. There were no signs where to go to gate 5 and I had to ask lady from the shop where it is! Lift didn't work to go down, not clear signs about that too.
Passport check on arrival is a massive queue again but it's like normal but there is no fast line for parents with babies which is a shame cause they usually stand at the end of the 200 ppl queue.
There is more to say about but it's just details like paid clear bags or no priority lines anywhere except boarding or walking a quite distance in the rain to your plane sometimes, no help with anything actually.
I hope it'll change at some point.

Had I been able to review this with no stars at all I would have done! Such a badly organised airport! Simply the worst I have ever experienced in a lot of years of travelling. The queues to get through security were just short of an hour, and although there were lots of staff milling around only 1 X-ray machine was in use! Even the gate notification was badly organised with people queuing in the wrong places. Despite arriving a full two hours before the flight there wasn t even time for a quick cup of tea. A very bad start to our day and lot of people started their holiday grumpy, irritated and the airport manage to lose revenue in their cafe and duty free!i I understand travel has changed and a lot more checks are taken. We all have to be a bit more patient but usually staff are on hand to deal with this. Doncaster airport just aren t! A serious look should be taken at the management of this airport.

Lastly, credit where it s due, the meet and greet parking was very efficient!

Flown from this airport many times, every time is a stress free process. Security is usually fast. The staff are very friendly throughout the airport. There's a Wetherspoons pub/bar that serves food once past check-in. The prices are reasonable and are quite cheap compared to other airports.

Always a nice experience to travel to and from this airport after being in larger ones.

We travelled from Doncaster airport to Hurghada a few weeks ago. Got back yesterday which is why just writing review now. My friend and myself were travelling with our teenage boys who are both autistic so always dread the travelling . This time round our experience of travelling was made so much easier thanks to a lovely man called John Lawson ( hope that's spelt right) . From the moment we arrived any stress we had about travelling disappeared thanks to John. He helped us from beginning to the end so a massive thank you from all 4 of us . This was our 1st time travelling through this airport but not our last.

Great place and not to crowded. Staff are friendly too

security was quite fast, and queues for food were okay too, lovely check in staff. Parking wara bit naff. Went for me and the wife's honeymoon, only airport we could really access, didn't actually have the place were were planning on going. Been before, aside from that, had a fantastic time in Turkey.

Excellent airport. The staff were lovely, the lounge was well stocked with food and drinks, nothing was too much trouble for them. Easy to park and no hold ups. Will be flying from here in future.

If I could fly to anywhere in the world from here I wouldn t consider any other airport.
The airport staff are really friendly and helpful.
I have flown from here a few times and there has never been a long wait for reclaiming luggage.

You can sit at the restaurant only. No other sits. Family with kids have to sit on the floor.....

LAST TIME I USED IT ANIGHTMARE LIC PLATE RECOGNITION NOT WORKING BARRIERS NOT WORKING WOULD IT BE SO EXPPENSIVE TO HAVE A HUMAN ON THE APPROACH ROAD TO GIVE DIRECTION OR INFO ORLANDO WAS EASIER AND THAT INCLUDED COLLECTING A HIRE CAR

The premier lounge was nit up to standard sandwhichs were dry there were dirty pots all over not worth the price but the airport overall was good but wouldnt reccomend the premium lounge

Staff very friendly and efficient. Clear and tidy airport. Easy to find your way around. Parking was great as you can see the terminal and it only take 3mins from parking the car.

what a load of crap...as with most large companies, they wont answer their phone and talk to you about anything, just recomend that you go away and look on line...wrong attitude

Nice small compact modern clean airport only flew from here once , check in swift as it was a late flight not a lot to do in departures area as it s small , would fly from here again

I flew to Riga with two friends on Tuesday 6th. April and after having had her hand luggage passed through the security scanner and returned to her, one of my friends found that she had accidentally forgotten to remove a bottle of water from her hand luggage, yet this had not been notices by the security staff. A bit worrying.

A small and cozy airport, which is well conntected with Sheffield. The airport crew is very polite and easy-going. The departure lounge has everything an airport needs, including a pub, restaurant, cafe and Subway.

Beware of the car parking facilities. When I arrived I found the long-stay car park was full and the smarmy attendant gleefully told me the only place available was the short stay car park. Upon my return I was stunned to have to fork out More

Don t try to drop people off as if your wheels stop the Gustavo start

Recently, we have landed with Riga. In the rain and wind, an hour outside before we came to the door under the cover. Tragedy.

Avoid if possible. A small rural airport, severely overcrowded by the insane numbers of people Wizz Air is trying to pump through it. Hard to get to.

Great airport but let down by the parking arrangement

Customs officers work was absolute disgrace. They were extremely rude and treated the passengers like an animals. Took almost all passengers personal belongings without explaining anything what they were doing. Kept us waiting for a long time, without any guidance or directions. Will never use service of this airport again.
