They are a dealer but I don't know why. They said it would cost $50 to fix the carb on a leaf blower, but a new carb would coost me $80. So I went with the new carb. Three weeks later they called and said it was ready. The bill was $131. A new blower cost alittle less than $200. And then when I got home and started it up, it had no gas in its tank. It had over a half tank of gas when I brought it in. So why did the gas disappear? Did they need gas for other equipment... They certainly didn't test it for twenty minutes and run it out of gas...
By far the best shop around if you need pretty much anything as far as chains, straps, binders, winch cables, the list goes on and on. The employees here are extremely knowledgeable about what they sell and even about what they dont, if you need a special order, I'd suggest you ask, because I bet they could get it for you because they did for us. They are genuinely great people and I'm glad our company uses them for business.
Good for gear in a pinch, but they gouge you on prices. I d avoid them outside of an emergency need.
Update: I don t know how to respond directly to the owners question, but one example is I bought a pair of Hoffman Winter Caulks that cost me $280 at Robert s. These are boots with a retail of $240 on Hoffman s site and a boot that I could purchase for $230 in Philomath. Unfortunately, gas and time have a cost, so I had to pay the additional $50 for the boots. I ve never seen a shop price their products so far above retail before and that stuck with me. I ll be in to try your shop again, it s not totally fair to evaluate the shop based on limited experiences. I ll gladly update this post again if the next experience is a better one.
The very best place to go when it comes to working in the outdoors fantastic Carhartt and Outdoor Clothing line the best Saw Shop in a hundred miles fantastic place
The saw repair shop pulled a major bummer on my husband, who is a Stihl guy through and through. Low hours on this saw, took it in for a repair and he got told that it was not fixable, offered him a new saw and said they would take it for scrap parts. He took the saw with him, he told me it was fixable but we are cattle ranchers and this is a busy time of year for us. I dropped it off in Cottage Grove, and $90 dollars later it is running perfectly. I am not pleased that a $600 dollar or so saw was almost stolen from us. Maybe this was not usual, but I won t be back.
I went to the shop to have a used chainsaw tuned up. After getting the saw back I looked at the bill and was a bit surprised at the price. After calling they helped explain everything and I had a good experience!
Great place for any kind of rigging or safety products as well as rugged work clothes. The service is great and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
I bought a 661 sthil 28 "bar $1360.00 and about 400dollars on other stuff there and ,they would not even toss in a 5 dollars bar wrench ,that's what I think of Robert's
If you need Any type of Outdoor Work wear Go See these people !! Nice friendly folks Who know their products.. Good working Mans prices too.. Go See for Yourself.. KK
I really want to give 2 1/2 stars but google won t allow it. Hadn t been here in like 30 years and my oh my has it changed. Gil Roberts was still around and now he s gone. It s more of a gen x experience than I prefer. Think I ll stick with Horner s & Schweitzer s (both in Cottage Grove) thank you very much.
A true professional rigging and logging supply shop that carries highest quality gear including best of class outdoor work clothes. Most of what I wear daily comes from Roberts Supply. The people and products are the best of old school service that is no longer common. Serious outdoors men and women would find much great hard use gear to wear here also.
Very good customer service and they had everything I needed to make a zipline and a lot of other good stuff there lots of nice clothing and outdoor gear and I would use them again
Springfield is lucky to have Roberts Supply they have a great deal of specialized equipment for The Woodworking industry and the owners are just very nice and accommodating
I like going to this store if I m ever looking for some special tools or just to pick something up for my dad. I do warn you though if you have an issue with any kind of politics recently or just in general I highly recommend you do not go to the store. They do have a lot of signs and such that show they re representing Trump. I recommend if you really need something there but if not then it s best to just stay away from there, especially the customers, the customers can be pretty aggressive if you don t look like you agree with what they agree with politically that is
