Rivers Restaurant Review

Loved the ambiance. Great menu. Wine flights were flavorful and fun! Definitely recommend and will return!

My friends from our box at the opera always have dinner at Rivers after our Sunday matinee performances. It's as if we're eating in the home of a friend. The hostess Yolanda and the manager Dan know us all by name and our waiter knows what we all drink. The food is great and no matter what our request they are always able to accommodate it. The drinks are generous, especially the martinis. Even in the evening the view of the river and across is beautiful.

I may be biased since I work across the river (no pun intended) and have eaten there many times. I'm very partial to the Chicken Gumbo they have and actually ordered it to bring home on Monday. Received two large portions to bring home (one order probably would have been enough for the two of us) and was satisfied as always. Hoping the business takes back off with the whole Chicago Covid shutdown!

Food and service are always great hear. I ve had many things on the menu but I love the burger and the salmon entree.

I ve attended Rivers Restaurant numerous times for sorority events but this visit was for a Thank You dinner on Aug 23rd. I ve had their finger foods/appetizers but this was the first time I had dinner. It was a wonderful experience. I started with the Cucumber Basil Lemonade (TRY IT)...very cool, refreshing drink. We ordered a variety of appetizers so I can recommend the crab cakes, calamari, the guacamole tower and THE SHRIMP BRUSCHETTA! All excellent choices. My main entree was the Shrimp Risotto. Very good. I had a taste of the Chilean Sea Bass (a true winner)! My dessert was the Sweet Potato Bread Pudding. Another winner! All in all, great conversation, great food!

Me an my husband dined here last week and was totally in love with the atmosphere of the place....the staff was very welcoming and very polite oh an not to mention the FOOD WAS GREAT!!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!! thanks RIVERS resturant for a great experience

The staff is very friendly and nice. Food is good. Drinks, depending on what you order, can be excellent especially martinis. Four stars for prices and decor. Overpriced and the doctor is nothing to brag about. Very plain and reminds me of a workplace cafeteria except the prices.

Sweet potato bread pudding! The best bread pudding thus far. Plus, the proximity to Union Station makes Rivers Restaurant a great place to regroup. Note: main kitchen closes at 2:30 pm then reopens for dinner. The bar is open. Superb service! Definitely, we'll be back. #auric

We were here for drinks and appetizers, but the dinner menu looked pretty good too. Nice riverside venue overlooking the Chicago River. Attentive and friendly server. Nice selection of craft beers and other liquors.
