Love, love, LOVE this bookstore. The atmosphere is something that just takes you out of the hectic world and into bookworm world. The old staircases, the window seat, the old books. It's amazing. Sometimes I visit there just to be there and not even purchase a book. But when I do I love the amazing cheap prices.

Excellent book store they have the most extensive historical section in the area with particular attention paid to US history. The prices are beyond reasonable almost every book is either 5 or 10 dollars. The staff is extremely helpful and seems to be aware if not versed in any genre of literature.

It is a nice place to relax and get a book. I put a review in the past that was not as complimentary. I am changing that because I found that they are trying to service our community by providing a great downtown bookstore. Yes, it is true that they may not be the fastest in getting the book you ordered but there are so many benefits this bookstore offers. Great collections of books and relaxed atmosphere. People are willing to help. So we like Riverby books! Thank you for being in Fredericksburg!

Always a favorite place. Charming shop, great selection of used books. History, special displays, and rare books on the main floor. Fiction, poetry, and biographies upstairs; children's and crafts/arts downstairs. A few comfy chairs. Browse for hours!

More books available in a bunch of different genres. A lot of US history related books, too. You could easily spend more than an hour inside finding all the books you have wanted to read for great prices.

Love this book store. The selection is vast and esoteric at times, though on the whole you can find most things authors you seek. Their fiction section is well stocked all the time and is constantly added to as far as I can tell. The books are affordable, though some can be a little pricey and their science fiction section is a little smaller than what I'm used to, but that's ok the store is still fantastic as a whole! All the sections are also meticulously organized which is amazing for a used book store! The atmosphere is generally calm with a lot of places to plop down and read whatever you find among the shelves. The basement is also full of children's books at very affordable price points so that's also a massive plus!!! This store is bar none my favorite place to kill time in when I'm in Fredericksburg and I'm more than happy to support them whenever I can!!!!!
