Lulu's sports bar Review

This place always has good food with large portions. Every time I fly into Van Nuys we come to Lulu's.

Found myself in Van Nuys with my tummy rumbling. Not a lot of food options. Found Lulu s and decided to give it a try. Excellent food. Excellent service. Reasonable prices.



I will be returning.

This place shows some age, but is also experienced in staff and menu variety planning. Menu well organized with Seniors and kids menu for entire family, broad spectrum of appetizers and room for special events.

There are only a few places to sit down and eat in this part of the valley.

The drinks are good and the food is good too. It's a great spot for breakfast.

Seriously the worst food I ve ever had. Don t even bother with this place. Gross!!

I've bin going to lulu's for over 15 years and the food is consistently amazing and the customer service is the best .......... Mike the owner is one of the nicest people i know and i will go to Lulu's for years to come

Always clean. BBQ smoker on site but only runs during the day. The rest is reheated in the kitchen but still moist and flavor full.

Good service most of the time

Decent food, good atmosphere, slightly over priced (by a dollar I'd say) good service.

We enjoyed our brunch. The server was nice enough to make some more fresh biscuit' s
for my husband. I really enjoyed the pot roast hash and eggs.

I ordered Breakfast for my husband to be delivered on Father's Day and everything was so delicious and the flat iron steak was so very tender! Also, I'm so glad you serve breakfast all day and our dinners we had delivered for over 1 year now is delicious too so thank you so much!!

If you see the bbq on the street I doesn't really have flavor

I've lived in the SFV all my life and ate here after 43 years, for the first time.... It's beautiful inside with all the vintage airplanes hanging... And the meal portion is huge.. the French friends are like Tommy's fries... Love them!!

Food was not really good, but not really bad either

We usually take dinner in the bar because we enjoy the bartender. Last night was the third game of the 2017 world's series. Not a quiet, intimate dinner but more fun than we've had in a long time.

Ate there,for the first time last night . Ordered a Ranch Burger. "Blown Away" flavor texture, taste, fries, onion rings ! OMG ! To Die For ! Seriously impressed.

Came into town from Denver, was told this is one of the best spots around. Great breakfast! So far had to come back to LA to have breakfast again, why go anywhere else. THX for the great service!

First time stopping by. I always drive by but this time I stopped by. For starters the menu was amazing a big variety of what I was looking for home cooking comfort food. Second the services was perfect treated me and my wife like regulars.all the staff was friendly and last the food was so good omg I promise I will become a regular the food is so good the staff welcomed us and thanked us for trying Lulu's gave us frees cooking that they just baked best service I've seen in a long time will be back thanks lulus

I was really disappointed in this place. It's hard finding good chicken fried steak in the valley, and while they serve it here, they neglect to mention that they use bacon in the gravy. That's cool, but should be noted somewhere for those that can't eat bacon. Otherwise, my BBQ burger also left a lot to be desired.

Their saving grace was the amazing pie.

Our waitress, Jessie, was awesome. She was very accommodating with pleasent attitude. I had the rosemary pork chops with sweet potato fries and baked beans. It was delicious! I really liked the rosemary sauce and the sides were delicious. Heard they were under new management and decided to give it a try. Glad we did!

Been coming here for years, it has the look of some standard chain type restaurant, but DON"T BE FOOLED.. Lulu's is a fantastic classic coffee shop with excellent comfort food & the nexus of the valleu. One of the few places with broasted chicken & chicken tenders which are beyond belief. Others at the table had the dry rub baby back ribs, fries, Chicken Parm & all were just delicious. Great servers & prompt service, tons of easy parking & everything on the menu is going to ring your chimes !!!

I have been eating at lulus on a regular basis since 1995. Most of the time it is at least once a week
but very often it is 3 times a week. I drink with all my meals so my bill is between $30.00 to $40.00
each visit that is a lot of money that I have spent over the years. I have seen ownership change 3
times. I have watched prices climb, especially over the last 6 months. I my opinion the changes are
not in the customers best interest. I have had favorite dishes that always kept me coming back but
slowly over the years those items were removed from the menu. Most recently the chicken tortilla
soup that is only served on mondays I was there every monday. This last monday I came in for my
usual only to find out that they have stopped serving it. When I spoke to Mike the current owner,he
had little to say and treated me like I was a worker standing in front of home depot. This place was
my regular watering hole for 21 years. They just lost one of there very best regulars.

Dropped in on Mon I think. Service is consistently good. The prices are good for what you get.

Amazing food, service, and Bar Tender, Sheila we LOVE Sheila!!!

I want to start by saying I have ordered from Lulu's on various occasions to try different items on the menu after seeing comments of how good the food is and prices. I have had several experiences in the past where I did not receive items. This particular day I placed an order for delivery Half tuna sandwich on sourdough, bowl of vegetable beef soup, side of fries no salt, cranberry juice and a cup of ice. Upon arrival, Driver handed me receipt for signature which totaled over $19 and Luckily I checked bag before driver took off, because I looked to find out there was no cup of ice or cranberry juice. In addition there was seasoning salt on my fries. Which a blind man could smell the seasoning salt permeating from the bag. I explained to driver I asked for no salt and driver gladly drove back to restaurant to retrieve the cranberry juice, cup of ice, and fries with no salt! I immediately called the restaurant back to inform them that their driver was on his way back to return fries for unsalted, and retrieve cranberry juice and cup of ice. Driver was very apologetic and professional! I did tip driver despite issues. I noticed price discrepancy online for menu items listed. Which seemed pretty pricey for half of a sandwich, soup, side, and cranberry juice. I asked them for a breakdown when I called restaurant. Which included delivery fee, tax, and tip. I suggest an itemized breakdown should be given to all customers. So they know exactly what they are paying for. I received a receipt that was a credit card total. Another suggestion would be updating menu prices online to reflect accurate pricing. Especially when it is over $2-$3 more than listed price. That makes a difference. As well as making sure whoever answers the phone to take customers orders should be more attentive to detail and customers requests. So that both customers and delivery driver does not have to be inconvenienced! There is entirely way too much salt in the various food items on menu. And too greasy. I have tried from soups, potatoes, sauces, etc. I can't any longer. I feel puffy already. My blood pressure just went up several points on this one. Lulu's Thanks, but no thanks!

The best of everything, classic all American Diner with great Mexican options and a full bar for happy hour.

For over 18 yrs we have enjoyed good food and good service

I have been going to Lulu's since it was opened back in the 70s. They have always had good food and a good staff. They go out of their way for us whether we have a meeting or a family meal.

Delicious Comfort food with kind and friendly service!

This restaurant is cute, it reminds me of those diners you see in the movies. It definitely has a home town vibe to it which is probably what they're going for.

The food is good, and you get a good amount for your money The staff there is also pretty nice, they have more time to take care of you being that it's not very busy during the day.

They also have wifi that's fairly fast, so if it's not busy you can definitely order something and get yo internet surfing on.

The best Sul Lung Tang in -town! Their service is quick and on point. I love how they give you a bucket of green onion and are very generous with the kimchee. Good comfort food on a cold night.

Great food and service at this family friendly airplane decorated restaurant near the Van Nuys Airport. My recent visit I got the Pigs in a Blanket breakfast food item featuring 3 delicious full size pancakes wrapped around pork sausages with powdered sugar and butter and a side of maple syrup. I enjoyed my food!

The breakfast special is really good. I get the three eggs, potatoes with gravy, and pancakes. I also like the baby back ribs and French onion soup. Their bread is good. Lots of free parking. Friendly staff.

It has good food but when I took my grandmother there, we talked about her allergy to the waitress, she didn't even know what Gluten was and said it was our problem if she has a reaction

Exceeded my expectations. I don't even like cranberry and it was delicious. They were about to close and still served me a hot meal. It was delicious. Ribs, garlic mashed potatoes and gravy were so dang good!

The quality is excellent and has improved greatly over the years. The menu is large and offers a variety of lunch and dinner items as well as breakfast. The meat in the hamburgers is excellent and fresh. Well grilled and served with fries in individual fry baskets. They offer bbq including ribs and steaks. Their salads are generous and well-made. Service is excellent, the ladies are pleasant and easy to get hold of. The owner is nearly always present and very helpful and friendly. On average expect to spend $12 - 15 per person

Very poor breakfast. Bacon was undercooked, greasy, cold and over smoked. Potatoes were cold. Toast seemed pre made, cold and hard all the way through. Waitress really strained herself to even speak to us. Awful.

Didn't have the best experience here. Had to wait 20 mins for food, and it wasn't even that crowded. Waitress was cheerful and nice, but she messed up on my sister's order.

Lulu's is a local place for me. I've been there several times. The food is good depending on what you order. Onion soup,, burgers and grilled veggies are great. Skip the ribs, mashed potates taste instant. That aside, generally the restaurant is generally quiet without much kitchen noise....except for my last visit. The cooks and perhaps one of the male wait staff were SO LOUD...not cooking, but calling out in a chiding manner, repeatedly to each other very loudly like on an elementary school playground. Then talked to each other in this manner pretty much the whole time I was there. II can't say what the conversation was, as it was in perhaps Spanish??? paid $60 for dinner and drinks for two. I expect a better atmosphere. Pretty disappointed in the behavior of the staff.

It was my first time at this place. The chefs at this place are amazing!!! I'm having to adjust to eating with braces and eating BBQ tends to hurt. The waitress offered an alternative when I asked her for a recommendation. It smelled delicious when it arrived to my table, and glorious when I took the first bite!
The meat here is seasoned very well and the guacamole was amazing. The kitchen staff is amazing! Definitely coming back!

We were disappointed and walked out. No one would wait on us ans when she did, she had a bery nad attitude.

Food was food, delivery was fast, price is good, portions are huge!!!! No complaints!!!! We will definitely order from here again!!!

Absolutely Love this place !!! Everyone is friendly & always has a smile on their face. The food is great and reminds me of a family home cooked meal.
