Not one person on staff in February wore a mask at this location when the CDC guidelines still stated to wear masks indoors. Also, beware of billing issues with this provider. The amount they tell you for the cost of service may not be correct. I did my diligence but still would up getting another bill after the date of service.
Cheryl the Paramedic and Yvette the CT Tech were total professionals- competent, caring and great communicators. I would give them 10 out of 10 for a rating! Thanks!
If i could give 5000 stars, I would!!! Our family Doctor ordered my youngest daughter an ultrasound to see what was going on with her. He gave us a list of a couple imaging centers, I called the first one on the list first and they told me they couldn t get my daughter in until next week. Called River Oaks MRI & Diagnostic next and the front girl America was super helpful and nice, they were able to get my daughter in within the next hour. My doctor even received the report that same day. Thank you River Oaks MRI Team for saving me a week of stress and overthinking. BEST IMAGING CENTER OF THE WOODLANDS. Clean Facility , Fast Turnaround , Easy Scheduling!!
There was limited waiting. The room is clean. The team that worked with me, Evette and Cheryl, were fantastic and worked well together. I was in and out faster than it took me to change my clothes. I will go here in the future.
The staff was excellent. Everything was neat and clean. I highly recommend using River Oaks MRI in the Woodlands.
I walked in on a Friday and made an appointment for the following Wednesday. When I arrived for my appointment I was informed that they had lost my MRI order and had contacted my doctor for a new one. I would have to pay 100% out of pocket since they did not contact my insurance or I could reschedule. They explained that this would only take a couple of hours and that I could wait. I couldn t stay so I rescheduled for the following day and they continued to reassure me I could be seen and they would get it approved. The next morning when I was on my way they called and said they still had not gotten it approved by my insurance. Turns out, their insurance clerk was not even in the office the day before when they had adamantly reassured me that it would only take a couple of hours to get approved. I cancelled and decided to go elsewhere. I can confirm the previous reviews that cited their staff were not wearing masks, that has been corrected. All the staff I saw and spoke to were wearing masks. The people I spoke with did their best to be courteous and professional but ultimately they failed by losing my MRI order and leading me under false pretenses that I could be seen the next day. I understand insurance approvals can take a while (which is why I made the appointment the Friday before in the first place!) but I don t appreciate them losing my order or saying it would only take a couple of hours to get approved when they actually didn t know that for sure. Wasted 2 mornings of my time.
Today was my second visit to River Oaks MRI and, I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that this experience was as great as my first. When you walk into the main building there is a large sign directing you to the MRI offices, making them easy to find. The suite is modern, clean, and tastefully decorated. The receptionists are kind, upbeat and welcoming. River Oaks MRI makes it easy to fill out your paperwork online beforehand or you can do it at the office, if you prefer. One of the best things about River Oaks MRI is, unlike other facilities, they get you back quickly for your testing. I don't think my wait time was more than a couple of minutes either time. Very refreshing (and, again, surprising). It was also nice that the same technician who greeted me on the first visit, again, escorted me back to the testing area. This consistency is just a nice added comfort for the patient. Although I cannot remember her name (longer, gray hair, glasses) she is always so helpful - explaining each step of the procedure, making me comfortable with a neck support and blanket, and even putting in the ear plugs for me because I always struggle with them...all with a cheerful attitude. Those are the little things that make you want to return. Also, today, her assistant went the extra mile and rolled a flannel blanket up to put under my neck to ensure my comfort. Lastly, I appreciate the fact that another MRI technician (sorry, I didn't get her name - longer, dark hair) was astute enough to realize there was a discrepancy on the MRI order, so she personally called my doctor to ensure we were getting the exact scans he needed. Honestly, my visit couldn't have been better. I have had many MRIs over the years, many of them at a popular Woodlands hospital, but I have to say, River Oaks outshines them all. I will be back. I first went January 12th to schedule my MRI. They told me my insurance had to approve the order before scheduling me in. A rep by the name of Evette called so I returned the call. They put me on hold for 45 minutes just to come back to say she was out to lunch. I could not believe the customer I received. How can anyone working in a professional environment think this is acceptable. I called several times and each time on hold for over 30 minutes just to give me no answers. Today I found out that this facility just faxed my order to my insurance to get approved last Thursday. I was overly disappointed and frustrated. I decided to go somewhere else . If this is how they work I rather not deal with their service.
