River City Casino & Hotel Review

Had great time, staff was very friendly and helpful.

Food was good, no place for non-gamblers to sit and wait for gamblers. Is it really to much to have a sitting area for smoking non-gamblers? There used to be a place next to the bar. It was our holiday tradition to eat at River City and let the gamblers in the group play while the rest of us had a drink. I guess we must look for a new place.

Went to buffet. Was a good price and good food with great variety

I lost money but at least the interior decor was nice.

The food was cooked nicely and the service was great.

I only go to the restaurants and be casino area and the customer service all is always great

River City casino is great the service is good the staff is friendly and it's in a decent location.

The casino is pretty similar to other casino's layouts. The tables are often crowded. The smoke is everywhere. Dealers are solid. Pit bosses okay. Never stayed in any rooms. Parking lot is huge. Solid place.

Went for my 21st birthday. Reeks of smoke. Didn't appreciate that. Nor did my lungs

Food could be seasoned a little better. But overall it's a nice little Buffet

The casino floor was outdated, poorly staffed, and poorly ran. The smell of cigarettes held in the air as if we were sitting inside of a giant cigarette.

I have attended many events here. They have all been a wonderful experience. The staff, the facility, and the food are all top-notch. I don't think there's a better atmosphere for a professional gathering in the area.

Went to see a band called dance floor riot. Bar was nice except it was Smokey.

Went for all you can eat crab. They were rude and said they didn't have that anymore. Probably won't ever go back. Have always had a bad experience here. The staff are very rude.

The person working in the cleaning service left a surprise in my hotel room toilet and did not flush, the pork was not cooked thoroughly and the crab legs at the buffet were still frozen. The manager did not want to replace them. I wanted a refund, and did not get it. Terrible service. Wont be coming here again.

My wife and I try to visit the casino often. It is such a beautiful place and they not only have neat machines but also keep new ones coming in so as to keep it very interesting. We have visited all casinos in the surrounding area's and prefer River City by far.

My husband and I have stayed her several times. We really enjoyed ourselves the last two times. Very nice rooms, nice staff that seem to go above and beyond. We decided to stay for two nights for my husbands birthday. I reserved one room king bed, the room we usually get for the price we paid this weekend was double the price. We get to check in and she says two queens, no that's not what I reserved. The desk clerk apologized, and said they didn't have any other room available with a king. We get to the room I call reservation and I am told it's simply a request and she will have to go back and listen to the call like I'm lying. Finally calls back and again says well it is a request and there are no king size beds available. Then even though we have a late check out I get woke up by housekeeping at 7:45 vacuuming outside our door. All kinds of loud commotion, my husband looks at me and says great! I don't think we will come back to River City.
I would give room service five stars, it is excellent. Front desk staff we dealt with was outstanding. But in all I was very disappointed this time.

Buffet had less and less on the menu and cost is getting outrageous. Casino slots no longer hit or give bonuses and pay out of bonus sucks example. Out of thirty spins won $2.76 on a $1.50 bet

This place is mediocre at best. Cracks me up to have non smoking next to smoking. Defeats the purpose

Plenty of great dining options to choose from. The employees are very friendly and very helpful.

I could do without the smoking all around. I'd go more often if it were smoke free.

Like most Missouri casinos i noticed African Americans dont win like other races

Service was nice, casino is beautiful, but the machines are not friendly on Christmas.

It was my first trip there and boy did they pay out!

They send employees home such as closing gift shop Les valet Parkers fewer hosts if there is low attendance service gets very poor

Always a great place to eat and play it's like my second home people are all wonderful there

Both the casino and the hotel are quite impressive in their own ways. The casino feels spacious and clean, and the hotel and event spaces are modern and well-maintained. If you're looking for something to do, or to even host a large event, I can see this property working well for your needs!

Good Casino but I'm a poker player and closing the poker room in April is a big Mistake

Just after falling asleep someone banged on the door and ran. Not only is that startling to someone it put my friend into a panic attack. Not cool....Then the night before we left the emergency alarms were ringing in the middle of the night. Instead of relaxing I was excited to go home! Not sure if I would go back.

It was very smoky from all the people chain smoking you had to wear a mask unless you were smoking so we were like the only ones wearing a mask to bad the masks didn t help with all the smoke I smelled like an ashtray when I left won t be returning they might wanna upgrade their ventilation system....

Nice, but too Smokey, some smokers don't respect nonsmokers. They cough and blow the smoke our way.

They got on to me about my mask while I trying to smoke. Said I had to put mask up in between puffs. I said " FOR CRYING OUT LOUD" and they made me leave casino. Not my best time at casino.

River City Casino St. Louis...great atmosphere, great food! There needs to be a NO SMOKING rule put in place here. That would make this a great place for entertainment...

It has gotten to be boring they took away the good games nothing here except to lose money

The staff was VERY rude. We were at a blackjack table for about 2 1/2 hours when the floor manager for no reason (other than they werent making money off of us) straight up took our stools we were sitting on the entire time. His name was Dan, he said we werent alowed to sit at this paticular table by the bar! When we went to complain to his manager about it they KICKED US OUT OF THE CASINO! NEVER EVER will I have anything good to say about this establishment. Horrible staff.
