Reasonable prices for movies and food and drinks compared to other cinemas.
Tuesday special is even better priced and the parking is validated for a discount at the parking building next door.

Cute, old school cinema in the heart of Randwick. I love combining a trip to the spot for coffee and cakes with a night out at the Ritz. The owners are clearly true movie fans and often have special showings. The bar is also great value and has a nice view over the Spot. If you're a regular at this great cinema, I recommend buying a 10 pass - saves about $4 per trip! Love it.

Charismatic, cheerful, classic old cinema. Feels like going to the movies in my childhood country town - in the best possible way.

Plus it is so cheap if you get a membership! And close to lots of cute bars and places to eat. Love this cinema.

If you visit Randwick, it's hard to go past the delightful Ritz Cinema, located at The Spot, in a gorgeous heritage building. What I love about the Ritz is not only its heritage and old-time feel, but you can watch screenings of old-time/retro films, as well as the new releases. The cocktail bar upstairs is great, and the cinema theatres are spacious and clean. I've always found the staff to be generally quite friendly. It's also wonderful that the Ritz holds special events, e.g. during film festivals, and sometimes famous actors are invited to such special events. Visitors can see the walk of fame outside of the building bearing the names of famous individuals in the film industry who are honoured for their work. The Ritz is just a great all round place, and if you watch a movie there you can have your parking validated at the attached parking complex. Additionally, ticket prices are great, and even better for students. I highly recommend Ritz Cinemas!

Quite a nice cinema! This has a distinctly older style feeling about it, which helps you feel very nostalgic when coming here. Seating is comfortable and plentiful, with double level seating for those that want to get the 'theatre' style seating experience. A very nice place to visit! Much better than chain cinemas!!

I have been attending the Ritz for decades however my most recent experience was very dissapointing. Aliens was advertised as being in 70mm but instead we saw a poor quality cropped version with many celluloid artifacts throughout. The audio was horrible with constant peak distortion and that really ruined the entire experience. Eventually I saw some other patrons head out to complain. The seating is also very uncomfortable and really needs to be modernised. Food and beverage was great and so was the staff service. Overall however a very disappointing night and polar opposite to viewing classics at the Orpheum. Sorry guys...you need to lift your game.

Our favourite. Decor is a bit daggy. Chairs are old fashioned. Sound is a little dated. But the price is half that of the chain cinemas (candy bar too). The bar has a sunny balcony overlooking The Spot. There are regular screenings of classics and special events. It has character.
