I had my assistant book a dinner for a Monday, October 21st (a notoriously empty restaurant - check on Google) giving her name, surname, address, phone number and e-mail. I am overwhelmed by e-mail messages in English (this is not the problem because I studied in England from 5 years of age) who asked me to send to a website that I do not know the details of my credit card under the threat of booking cancellation. I didn't think it was safe and I didn't join, convinced that they had superabundant data on my person (who knows if the Privacy Guarantor reads these reviews?). Instead, I personally phoned around 13:00 at the restaurant and the person who answered asked me to call back after 4:00 pm. I refused to suffer harassment and rudeness of this kind.
They then unilaterally canceled my reservation!
I am particularly satisfied because I have thus avoided going to All'Oro now and forever!
Best wishes, gentlemen.

The worst, most overpriced, pretentious and RUDE dining experience ever. A ridiculous night we named Dada Dinner. The black suites waiters were like an SNL sketch of cliche snooty waiters. They dropped off the phony molecular gastronomy morsels with a curt description and then turned on their heels like angry Prussian generals off to fight their next battle. They had to be asked repeatedly to fill our water glasses. We were the last people in the place and I assume they were pissed off that they had to wait around until we were finished. How this place got a Michelin Star is beyond imagination. The food itself was often tasteless and if you asked what it was they rolled their eyes. The dinner had no cohesion, no vision, no rhyme or reason. Complete waste of money and time, but a hilariously bad evening that we will remember always. If you like being treated like a bad child, go here.

It is a wonderful place to stay The breakfast (included) is delicious with fresh fruits, pastry such as almond croissant, also mushroom omelet as part of the American breakfast.
Coffee is freshly brew with the aromatic roast coffee beans.
It is a place for vacation. Dinner dishes are good, but the price is to high.

Fantastic place and food. Great ambience and service, a bit of theatre in terms of presentation, really made it fun and was not an exaggeration. 2 let downs but minimal - wet cloth to wipe your hands after the pre-appetiser smelled horrible (old stench), we had to go and wash our hands. Would be good to add some citrus oil to it. And we have not been told there will be a charge for the salami slices we have been given during the meal. We thought it is an extra. Otherwise - a great evening.

There is no problem with the meal, and I will give a certain affirmation. But when the meal is about to end, I find that the handsome staff has the action of throwing the plate. I don t know if it is my misunderstanding, or I want to turn the table to catch the guests. I recommend a standard meal. This match has a standard of service quality, welcome to Taiwan to observe and observe

When you walk through the door of a starry man you expect to eat well ... here not only does the kitchen touch peaks of creativity and taste that are difficult to find in renowned colleagues (a star is VERY NARROW) but also a young, dynamic prepared but never intrusive which makes the experience very pleasant and unforgettable. I will gladly come back.

The food at All oro strives for a balance between tradition and innovation, playing with shapes, textures, cultural references and not sparing the occasional wink to foreign classics. It is probably true that only those deeply familiar with Italian food can appreciate the nuances, both subtle and sharp, of flavours (I particularly loved the pungent taste of potatoes with the rice cream at the beginning: a classic from my infancy) and the irony of some presentations, but even for the uninitiated the meal is certainly delectable.

The service is friendly and passionate, though not always precise. The wine list is extensive and far from trivial; we had the suggested pairing with our tasting menu, which gave me the chance to try wines I wouldn t usually pick. At times, during the dinner, I though that that is for a good reason, but to be fair the sommelier s picks did actually work well with the menu - surprisingly so, in a couple of cases.

The whole experience is a bit on the pricey side, particularly the wines, but that may be the case for most things in Rome, to be honest. I still very warmly recommend a visit.

We returned on January 2nd to the All'oro restaurant. This time we did not take the menu originally, but agreed on 5 courses for the whole table, to taste different dishes. A riot of flavors and originality. They also brought us a first extra. A star is holding on to him. Friendly, courteous and highly professional staff.

Thank you to all of the team for making this an unforgettable experience. The stunning food, surprising presentation, warm welcome, delicious drinks, and atmospheric decor made for a brilliant evening.
The food and presentation was delicious and inventive. The wine pairings were excellent, the menu offers flexibility and formula as you wish.
It fuses hints of local cuisine with an innovative and playful modern edge.
It oozes personality and flare.
All of the team seemed highly invested in making it a wonderful experience- from the chef to all of the other staff interacting with us at the tables.
Highly recommended.
Also those staying in the hotel will have an wonderful treat come breakfast time.

To make the review fully understood, I have to make an introduction.
The day before the scheduled dinner at ALL'ORO I phoned to book.
To my surprise I felt I was asking for a credit card (just to be able to book) and above all I learned from the clerk that they were also "punished" if we had not honored the booking, with a withdrawal of 50.00 per person.
I decided not to book and I immediately wrote, to the restaurant's email, to protest against this practice, really counterproductive, given the decision to change restaurant for that Saturday.

To my surprise the same evening I receive a call (the second call, I had not answered the first because busy). It was the owner / chef of ALL'ORO (the kind Mr. Riccardo) who, having read my "protest" in real time, had made sure to call me to explain the situation and the reason for the credit card request.

He convinced me to re-book, this time without asking for a credit card guarantee, since he already considered me a customer.
This is to make people understand the care and attention with which certain restaurateurs work.
So we went to ALL'ORO on Saturday night.

Dinner was as I expected and as I had read on many reviews.
We took two tasting menus. The classic All'Origine and the variant with the Bianchetto Truffle.

To understand well the welcome aperitif you have to go and enjoy it.
A dozen preparations each served with a particular "dish": a chair, a ceramic skull, a micro-chopping board etc. etc. Obviously the delicacies they presented were up to fame. exquisite

Following:

Summary of Carbonara (A culinary joke of the chef, but very welcome, also very good).
Mascarpone ravioli with duck sauce, which were served directly by Mr. Riccardo in chief chef uniform. A nice kindness on his part.
Then an exceptional EXTRA: The Cappelletti with Dry Broth. In our opinion, the best dish of the evening! It would be worth a second Michelin star. Served with the now famous spoonful laundry.
"Rocher" by Coda alla Vaccinara. A delicacy, very original of course the presentation.
Another off-menu was the first dessert: Granny's cake crumbled into a transparent but EDIBLE bag, so we eat everything including the package. I had never seen that idea.

An avalanche of desserts, also served on very original dishes , including the mini carousel / carillon with ponies that featured two biscuits with Curry and Lime cream (I seem to remember) from which the word game Curry-on (Carillon)

Elegant atmosphere, with soft lighting, very guessed background music, high price, as expected, but given the quality of the raw materials and the heavy work that is behind it, certainly a correct price.

And now the mournful notes: the reloading on the wines was really excessive. The Neretto of Etna we took was good but certainly not proportionate to the price ( 120.00). In other restaurants with that amount you can enjoy a Barolo.

Kind and very capable our waiter. Also the explanation of the dishes was due and exhaustive given the particularity of the dishes.
Well done, very good, but I would better proportion the cost of the wines to the goodness of the courses.

we celebrated 40 together with my wife at the end of last July and we went "another" time to the great chef Di hyacinth. we chose the free choice tasting menu, combining each dish with a different wine.
Also on this occasion the chef surpassed himself and surprised us!
starting with the chef's welcome, a riot of sensational finger foods!
grilled mariozzo appetizers and swordfish caesar salad ... lettuce ... a brilliant idea!
we continue with the tortellini ajo and oio, seafood broth and grilled monkfish that left a pleasant persistent taste in the mouth to try!
second course Grilled scallops with grilled potato millefeuille .... I would have eaten a thousand more!
we conclude with the desserts, a Lemon and a Carbon'air, the name alone is worth the choice and then when you eat it between amazement and taste, with the thought, the Chef is praised!
obviously dinner could not be completed without the chef's selection of desserts .... a real amusement park of sensations!
Thanks for the wonderful evening and congratulations to all the staff. see you next time!

First of all, decoration of this 1 Michelin star restaurant is a bit tacky & disappointing. Foodwise, some of the dishes on the 6-course menu are interesting & tasty, while others are average at best. In our experience the most disappointing part is the service, which ranged from indifferent to downright arrogant, which is a pity because the kitchen staff deserve better.

super experience. Starting from the very familiar and intimate room, passing through the swing playlist, which contributes to creating a pleasant atmosphere. We tried the "origin" tasting. The courses are a mix of tradition and innovation, which give very direct and easy to understand flavors. Also nice to see two young and enthusiastic guys in the room, good !!!
