The NOISE! I feel bad for the hotel because there is so little they can do about it. In my case, the staff's response to my complaints about the noise were egregious enough (lit., "your room is quiet!") that it's really difficult for me to have positive memories of the hotel. I was eventually moved rooms, but it took a phone call to a travel agent at 1am on a Saturday night.
Gym (note: small gym) has free water, which is nice, and rooms are acceptable.

Great hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were nothing but friendly and helpful. The room we had was light and spacious and over looked the Via Vettorio Veneto. The room had everything we needed.
The location is great, just out of the hustle of central Rome yet a 3 minute walk to the Barberini metro station and under 10 min walk to the Spanish Steps.
I also left some things behind and the staff found them and kindly couriered them to me, no hassle.

Sumptuous luxury hotel in the heart of the city, refined furnishings with a decidedly retro taste. Do not miss the terrace on the first floor where you can enjoy a meal or a drink overlooking the bustling street (Vittorio) Veneto.

A very disappointing Saturday evening meal at the Majestic. I'd heard the chef is quite eclectic and perhaps he wasn't in the mood the evening we were there. Mediocre food, the staff was not attentive. Highly disappointing.

My room was very comfortable. I stayed on the first floor so I had some street noise but nothing that kept me up. Very clean. Great location. Did not dine at hotel so I cannot comment. I have nothing negative to say. Enjoyed my stay.

Gorgeous place! Very old fashioned elegance. We had lovely aperitivo drinks and snacks on the terrace. I can see that this girl is a true oasis of quiet charm in the middle of the hubbub of Rome. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a peaceful and elegant break.

Lousy acoustics hears if all the noise mainly from the upstairs bedroom moving steps being dragged, voices!
Air conditioning does not exist .... lousy!
Beautiful bathroom BUT no protection box floods the bathroom!
No space in the bathroom p if you put your personal belongings!
Great location, large rooms and clean, all white!
What I really hated was the noise and shortness of breath!

Our room is a a superior double with a large bed, full closet, desk, and marble bathroom. It is beautiful and comfortable for 2 people. The hotel is conveniently located, within walking distance to several historic sites.

There are many high-level hotels in this area, but there is the dignity of a well-established and well-established hotel. The accommodation floor is beautiful in color and kept in good condition.
The rooms are beautiful and the bathrooms are also marbled and beautifully accessible.
The bed was big enough and I slept slowly.
It was hurry and it was an overnight departure early in the morning, but the staff at the front desk responded well to the request.
I think it was good on the last night of Roma.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. A bit noisy if you're on a lower floor on the street side. Also, make sure your room is not one of the few that hasn't been renovated recently as those are very outdated.

We had a terrible time there. The noise from the construction work was horrible. We had a deluxe room. Ha! Reception was very cold. But, the food in the dining room was excellent.
With all that said, some very expensive jewelry was taken from our room. Of course, management said they were not responsible plus they said I should have known sooner that it was missing. Not to wait til I returned home.

The hotel itself is very nice, the wifi is an issue though. They give you a username and password on a card in your room but each time you reconnect to the wifi you must type it in again and there is a limit of 2 people using the login at a time so if you have three people staying in a room, like I do, someone's getting screwed.

I have been playing in Italy for 10 days, and I have lived in so many restaurants with more than 4 stars. It is the most terrible thing. I just checked in. It s not long before I put my luggage and went out for dinner. When I came back at night, I found the room was being asked by the houseman. Come in and sort out, but fortunately, valuables are still there. Later, when the members of the hotel hall gathered together, there were even some hands to steal the bags of the members! It s too much, isn t this a five-star hotel? Scared us! We didn t sleep well all night, but we used a chair and a luggage compartment to block the door before we dared to sleep.

Bad hotel. I worked three months and have not yet paid me for the work done in spite try every week to get back the money. I'll have to contact the labor inspectorate that will make a nice control since they are not even the only person not to be paid.

A five-star that deserves its standing. The room is immaculate, quiet and not without heat. Room service is more than helpful. We do not leave the room replaces and towels at noon and the maid prepares slippers near the bed. The breakfast is delicious. I miss the boiled eggs I love so much. Finally the setting of an old hotel dating from 1898 if I believe the plate in the elevator adds a charm of before appreciable.

Don't be fooled by the floor-to-ceiling marble and...

Don't be fooled by the floor-to-ceiling marble and "old world" style. This hotel has serious issues.

1) Over the course of a 4 night stay, we stayed in three separate rooms. Each one of them had serious problems with the air conditioning unit. Even when the temperature was set to the lowest possible setting, the temperature in the room would not go down. The vent only blew hot room temperature air, equivalent to a "fan" setting. On the second two night stay, we changed rooms three times, and faced the same issue in each room. We had their staff come and adjust the temperature each time. It still didn't reduce the temperature in the room. Eventually they had to bring us a fan to make it bearable. We were given vague explanations about "there being issues with the air conditioning system last month, but it should have been resolved".

2) The common areas (the lobby, the hallways and corridors between rooms and the elevator) we're also warm and uncomfortable. For a "leading hotel of the world" this is an embarrassment. I've stayed in high-end hotels all over the world. There should be a dramatic difference between the temperature outside and when you walk through the hotel door.

3) My wife and I are interracial couple. I'm black, and she is of Middle Eastern descent but can appear "caucasian" to some. In the restaurant, where they serve the breakfast buffet, our waiter, asked my wife where she was from, and then mentioned that Italy was also a "slave country". I've travelled all of the over the world, and I'm not overly sensitive to racial remarks, but it was absolutely ridiculous that we paid so much to have such a rude comment made.

4) At the front desk, my wife, politely asked if it was cheaper to take an Uber or a cab. For whatever reason the attendant got offended at the suggestion of us taking an Uber and started talking down to her in a condescending manner, raising his voice. The same staff member had a verbal altercation with another guest as we were checking in and then proceeded to talk s*** about that guest to us as we were checking in. Highly unprofessional.

Like I said, the marble finishes and styles are nice, and there's a whole gallery of movie stars and celebrities that have stayed here that they prominently display on the first floor

But, just because the hotel is 100 years old, doesn't mean that their air conditioning unit should be. We stayed at the Le Meridian, a Marriott hotel, for less than half the price with a much better breakfast included and a much more comfortable and modern room.
