Had the Sunday brunch buffet. It was wonderful. A nice selection and the chocolate cupcakes were amazing. Topped with a dark chocolate ganache that will make your eyes roll back into your head while you savor every bite. Sooooo good! The staff was friendly and parking was a breeze.

Good place to get good and simple American cooking. My friend had the liver and onions and I had the open face roast beef sandwich. We both were very pleased with our meals. Oh, the crab ball appetizer was great!

The crabmelt is my absolute favorite!
The homemade bread pudding is out of this world. It's a must try so save room.

My first time back in about 8 years and I must say it's not the same. I ordered the Salmon and it was over cooked, the green beans and greens taste like they were frozen prior to order and the stuff Shrimp was tough and chewy. The best thing about my dining experience tonight was the complimentary cornbread and the service. oh and were a jacket lol

Came here for Father s Day!! It was packed.

The hostess and wait staff were efficient. Food was off the chart! Fresh, delicious, hot and the serving sizes were exactly what you would want.

The only thing I would recommend is some good cleaning. Lots of dust and cobwebs which was NOT aesthetically appealing while trying to eat. Had the cleanliness been better would have certainly gotten 5 stars!

Decent American fare. Usually have a good catch of the day. I stick with old favorites like meat loaf, fried/baked chicken. Can get very crowded at times, but they have a great liquor store you can peruse while you wait.

I love the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. But the green beans take on the flavor of the metal can they come out of. They are flavorless, even with the bacon and onions. I will substitute the green beans next time if it's allowed.

Every time I go here is an absolute treat!! The first time I was surprised with the lunch buffet but that quickly turned to excitement! The food was so good- and it came with a free mimosa and cheap refills! Coming back I got to enjoy a really tasty New England breakfast and a stroll through their liquor shop after eating. The deli in the shop looks promising too!!

I saw the inn behind the restaurant, which I suppose explains the name! Not sure how it fares but with food like theirs I'm not too concerned!

Went for weekend brunch with 4 adults and 2 kids. The place was not crowded and we were seated at a large table quickly. The drink service wasnt very good and i would have given 3 stars but we were given complimentary mimosas. Food was decent but for a DC area brunch I was expecting a bit better. They did offer salad, pancakes, french toast, bacon (which wasnt crispy), sausage, made to order omlets, some ham i believe, a pasta dish and a few other thinfs i cant remember. Not the worst brunch ive had but I doubt I will be back.

Very unhappy with the omelet chef spraying WAY too much oil on the already non-stick pan every time he made one. Sunday brunch was terrible and not worth the price. I wanted the much cheaper eggs Benedict...but no service on Sunday. Really the worst breakfast brunch I've ever had. Two stars because free mimosa...IF you mention it... So bad.

I have lived in the area my entire life. And we have continued to go to Rips for the liquor store, deli (so good) and the restaurant as well. You never end up waiting in line forever in the liquor store. The deli always makes your food VERY quickly. And the customer service in the restaurant is great as well. I have a liquor store located less than a mile from my home...ad yet we still drive past it, just to go to Rips instead. So I'd have to say that their service is clearly much better than any of the "competitors".

The food here was quite good, I was actually surprised. The portions were a little small but again the food was good so I can't complain. I myself had a Cheesesteak which was very well done the bun not even been a little bit toasted and it was all around enjoyable. I definitely enjoy the Ambiance. If you are so interested, there is also a liquor store as part of the property.

A great place to buy beer, wine, and liquor. They have a great variety after craft-brew beers at affordable prices as well as the big name brands. If you are new to Rips, their big name domestic brews are in the warehouse section, accessible through the swinging doors at the end of the chilled beer cases. You get a percentage off of a pick-your-own 6-pack, which is a great way to try new beer without buying a full body pack you might not like.

This was my first time at the restaurant side. It was a Saturday so there was a long wait which was not unexpected. But the hostess showed no sensitivity for a family with 2 small children. After waiting 30 minutes, we waited an additional 10-15 mins to be seated at a table that had been empty and bussed which ticked me off.
Our waitress was slow to come to our table. We were grateful when a waiter came and said he was helping out our waitress. I asked for cornbread for my children and he never returned with it. I had to get the manager to step in. She was very professional and apologetic. She helped us get some food to tide my children over while they waited for their meals.
The saving grace for this place was that the food was good.
Not a good first impression but I will give it one more chance because the food was good.

So popular that all by myself they couldn t seat me for 20min. at lunch! I went to the bar and found my own table. Don t know what all the fuss was about as I found a very ho hum menu and only one vegetarian option - portobello mushroom sandwich. It was soggy and oily and had only two little pieces of spinach. They must do a better job for us vegetarians, if they want me back.

Manager was quick to correct a minor error and overall the food was delicious. Atmosphere is pleasant, family or solo...good ole country, laid back, timeless. Good comfort food options but less pork ingredients would be nice. Had crabby omelet w grits and biscuit. Would order again.

We had a great family brunch on Sunday before Valentine's Day! There is a basic but yummy breakfast buffet option on Sunday's before 1pm. Options include an omelet bar, carving station and other breakfast sides; pancakes, waffles, potatoes, More
