Staff were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful today when I purchased a wetsuit. Gemma in particular was wonderful - really going out of her way to accommodate my needs and offering advice. Thank you Gemma for making it all so easy.

Suggest buyers beware if you intend purchasing a Rip Curl Gift Card for a friend. It is not honoured in all outlets of that name. E.g. There are two Rip Curl outlets in Torquay. Vic. A Rip Curl Gift Card is only acceptable at one, and not the other......go figure !!???

One guy was very good and then there was another who wasn't interested in providing me the size and info of the stuff I was looking at, I was ignored, probably cos of my skin colour. But who cares. If not for my 4 years old son who wanted the stuff, I would have just walked out..

i bought a top of the line heat seeker wetsuit at the store. When i got home i noticed a small tear on the soft rubber on arm. Despite the fact that the suit had never been in the water i was told they would not give me a new one and i would have to get it repaired. While its possible that i did the tear while trying it on at their store it is also very likely that the tear was there before. Rip Curl just lost my future business .

Everyone I have dealt with over the handful of times I have been to this store have been fantastic. I literally now make the 1 hour 15 minute trip to this store specifically for that reason

It's the best Rip Curl shop I have ever been. I really liked the decoration of the shop, in particular the sealing and the old boards displayed on the wall.
Staff were friendly and welcoming too.

Great shop, with a huge selection of casual wear, swimmers & beach wear, and more high-end/pro gear. Staff are extremely customer-oriented & helpful without being overbearing. This Torquay institution is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area, as long as you're not expecting the "little surf shop down the road".

In the beginning, the search was the driving force that led to the creation of RIP CURL. Brian Singer and Doug Claw Warbrick dreamt of a lifestyle that would allow them to live to surf, surf to live.

1967 turned dreams into reality as Brian and Claw shaped surfboards out of a tin shed in the small coastal town of Torquay, slowly but surely building the foundation of the ultimate surfing company from the ultimate surfing lifestyle.

1969, cold Winter offshores fan perfect lines of swell charging into Bells Beach, Brian and Claw have created the world s first surfers wetsuit and now they can surf all year round in performance comfort! Soon RIP CURL wetsuits are a common sight in lineups around Australia.

1973 RIP CURL turns the Easter Rally professional and the RIP CURL Pro is born. The event is still the longest running pro world championship contest on the planet.

Today and tomorrow RIP CURL continues to push the boundaries of surfing innovation leading the way in ocean technology. Products of the search. Made for surfers by surfers!
