Went in today to pick up some tubes for an old radio. Nice guy. Informative and easy to talk to. I will be back for sure.

Ted and his son Nick are super guys and very knowledgeable. They have a great selection of vintage audio equipment that they test and restore themselves. I've had a great experience as a customer, picking up a pair of speakers and a receiver. Definitely recommended!

*Edit* Buyer Beware, Go in knowing your stuff, or you'll get overcharged. Bought 3 vacuum tubes some amps and payed 175$ did the research and found out they were worth 110$ at the most. Also got them home and found out the tubes don't work, this place is a total top off

Ted and Nick Syperek are truly amazing-the wonderful amount of vintage used Solid State and Tube Audio equipment in the store is a great pleasure.
Repairs are excellent,turnover time is very reasonable.
Both Ted and Nick Sypererek are a terrific team.
Extraordinarily knowledgeable, their combined expertise and extremely friendly,supportive attitude make visits to Ring Audio a very special personal pleasure for me.

I have purchased extraordinary restored vintage Solid State Audio equipment over the past few years from both Ted and Nick Syperek at Ring Audio,as well as specialized vintage 78 RPM and LP Styli,which you can't find anywhere else.

Both Nick and Ted Syperek are terrific audio salespeople,with a real old fashioned audio commitment and great interest in vintage audio. They are honest,extremely honorable,very kind,and incredibly skilled at helping their customers select vintage audio equipment over the years.

I have entrusted Ted with my vintage audio repairs for years. He always does great work, and a fun chat with every visit as well.

Both Ted and Nick Syperek are excellent! My Concord Receiver, from the 50 s and never before serviced, now sounds totally amazing!!! Mostly clean-up and maintenance...The Receiver is now hooked up to a double cassette deck and turntable and Fibe TV. Reasonable price; short turnover even this close to Christmas. Free parking in front of the shop. Very positive experience!

I just wanted to take a moment to give a feedback on the service which I took from you guys last December 2014.

I had an issue with my connector of Koss Porta Pros which i did service here in India and it wasn't good. But when i came to you guys for the service. Not only the service was fast but it was really really good. the connector is still working fine all these while and there are no issues which i faced for connector not working or something of that sort.

So thank you for saving my Koss Portapros. hopefully the next time I come may be for a regular check from you guys to see if the connector is still good and maybe a bit of vintage shopping :)

The father and son team at Ring Audio are friendly and very eager to help you with your audio needs and repairs. I recently took in my turntable to be repaired. They did a great job and it works like it did when it was first purchased thirty years ago. Their pricing was reasonable also.

The only reason I didn't give them a five out of five, was due to the their sales technique for the components that are on-sale. I asked the father how much for a component that was on display at the front of the store. He responded with a specific price, but would give it to me for a lower price. I then noticed a written price tag on the side that was nearly $200 less than what he just quoted me. I asked him about it and he just smiled with no comment. I understand they want to make money like anyone else, but at least be consistent and transparent. I assume he based his new price on his perception of me. ha-ha...

Anyway, great place for fixing your stuff, just double check the prices before you start haggling with them.

Nick and the team at Ring Audio did a wonderful job repairing my old Marantz 6300 turntable! The service, including replying to emails, was top notch and the cost very reasonable! I would highly recommend!!

Great place for used vintage stereo equipment and repairs

Brought my recently purchased Marantz 2220 receiver for a a tune up . New lights, etc. They adjusted some FM settings, cleaned up the dailings and walked me through the process. Really passionate about vintage HiFi s. Highly recommend them!

I want to thank Nick again for all his hard efforts. Although it was not a common problem and the cost to fix my Dr dre beats executives was half of what I paid for the headphones, Nick fixed them in a timely fashion and was quite professional.

I took in my turn table and amp. They used to be my dads which he bought when he was 17, it's now 41 one years old and needed a little TLC. The guys here were great, very friendly, knowledgeable and honest. I had no doubts about leaving it with them. I had everything back in about a week and a half later working and sounding better than it ever. I couldn't be more happy with the service from these guy. This stereo has a lot of sentimental value and I am happy to be able to enjoy it for many more years.

Very hit and miss. Terrible at repairing tape machines. Sold me a wonderful pair of quad esls once. Ruined a friend's Linn turntable with an unsympathetic repair.

Really friendly and helpful service. Took my record player in for a tune-up and some TLC. Ring did a fantastic job and it was ready to pick up in about two weeks. Now she plays like a dream!

Great place. Knowledgeably run. Reasonable rates on expert repairs. They set up my turntable and fixed an old higher end amplifier. Things have never sounded better. All for about 10% of what it would have cost to replace the gear. They also have a great selection of vintage gear (I'm trying to talk myself into that tube amp).

I placed a deposit on speakers, then decided on another option. Was offered half of it back only, and when I suggested this was unfair, was treated rudely. Any retailer should be ready and willing to stand by fair terms pf sales and service.

So very disappointed. They kept my amp for nearly a year while they (apparently) tried to fix it. Excuse after excuse. Eventually I realized it wasn't going to ever be done, I went to pick it up. Not only wasn't it repaired, I now have a fresh, deep gouge on the faceplate.

Never again.

Based on my experience with Ring Audio, I can't recommend them at all. Since they claimed to be the headphone repair experts, I brought in my headphones. They said they would get to work on it soon. A month or two passed, I heard nothing, so I call in. "Sorry, my son is away, it will be done later." OK. So I wait, I hear nothing, I call again a couple months later -- surely enough time now? "Sorry, having a hard time finding the parts..." OK. So again I wait, again I hear nothing. I may have called again, it's been so drawn out I can't even remember. It's been well over a year and I've still never heard anything from them. I have no idea what happened to my headphones in the end. I gave up. Maybe they went in the trash, who knows? I've never written a negative online review, but this situation was annoying enough to me that I think any potential customers of Ring should consider it, and Ring should consider adjusting their customer service practices drastically.

The guys at Ring Audio are knowledgeable and approachable, and they always give great service! They have fixed my beloved stereo receiver twice now (different issues) and they do an excellent job. Reasonable turnaround times and a fair price.

It was nice of these guys to try and fix my Sansui AU-20000. They are more "hobby" type as opposed to engineer type.

They charged me $50 to tell me what I had told them was wrong with my unit.

They told me my Power transformer was fried, and that they would need to access it in order to verify...that would have ruined my unit! I had a blown power transistor, if they had known to check for one they would have known it wasn't the power transformer.

Well...at least I got a nice defaced unit back, when it had "RING AUDIO" written on the back with a paint marker...I have yet to be able to get rid of that...or did that piece of art cost me $50???

If you want headphones fixed you can go here...but if you have serious vintage equipment...do what I did...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Ted and Nick are amazing. My dad is a bit of an audiophile and brought in his Marantz turntable to be fixed. He also consulted at length with Nick about various systems - both Nick and Ted were very patient and considerate. He bought a Yamaha amplifier from them. I also brought in an Elac turntable to be fixed and it was done within about 3 weeks. Plays beautifully! They are honest and also very reasonably priced.

I had a perfect experience. The guy was an excellent expert and he was creative to come up with solution for my problem. Definitely recommend it

Ted and Nick are the nicest, most helpful two guys in Toronto. They re knowledgeable about equipment and will do their best to help you find a fix for what ails your stuff. I often feel an apprehension when going into pro shops, but Ring makes me feel welcome. I don t feel judged or that I m being taken advantage of for any gap in knowledge. Don t feel like I m being ripped off either.

After my two unsuccessful visits to other repair shops, Ring Audio quickly diagnosed the problem with my audio receiver and had it fixed within a couple of weeks. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable -- they took the time to explain the problem and how they had fixed it. Next time I have an issue with audio equipment, I'll head straight to Ring.

Brought in my vintage radio to change a light bulb it took 3 months. They changed a different bulb which was working and damaged a reading light door, and charged me for their time. Got sick and tired waiting for them to repair the door and original light bulb change so I picked up radio. They are only hobiests in trying to repair radios.

I have been placed on hold for a repair to a old radio for a year and a half. During the first six months, I contacted them several times and they kept assuring me that they would get back to me when it was my turn. I started the process in the fall of 2016. I contacted them again this week and was told that if I bring it in, they will be reminded of it while seeing it on the shelf. I have wasted a lot of time trying to enjoy the radio and still no assurance that it might be done anytime soon. Looking elsewhere and will drive out of the city with it if needed. Suggestions welcome.
