They seemed friendly and they got the job done too...
They seemed friendly and they got the job done took longer than they told me much longer, but at least it was done so I will give 4/5 stars.

These guys are amazing. Friendly, knowleadgeable and passionate about what they do. A gem of a store.
Super crowded in quarantine times but I nevertheless got a lot of much-needed help.
I had a great experience renting a bike with these guys - I only had one morning left in New York and really wanted to cycle around Prospect Park. I walked in, was served straight away, and the fees are very reasonable - only $7 per hour, and they pro-rate it if you don't use the full hour. I had a great 1.5 hr bike ride and only paid $10! Definitely a service I'd use again - thank you!
My own experience of this business was that it is a dysfunctional joke. A simple drop off, very over priced tune-up, and pickup turned into one delay after another. From not being able to locate my bike, to not being able to find that I had already paid a deposit and struggled to charge me the accurate amount, and then for my chain to rub the front derailleur in multiple gears on my ride home. Also, during drop off I asked the front workers their thoughts about changing a spring in my headset s futureshock, really just if they knew off hand if it required any atypical tools. One guy had no clue and the other immediately acted like it was a bit extensive and required special tools and I could leave it with them to do. I didn t do that. It only required an Allen and crescent wrench, I did it successfully in 20 minutes at home.
This is a decent bike shop with mostly friendly staff, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend hiring a bike from them if you're looking to do some decent riding. The bike they gave me was a really budget orbea with flat pedals. Despite being told on the phone it would have look compatible ones, I had to buy my own on arrival. I'd really recommend they offer a couple of much better (clean) road bikes at a higher price for those looking to get out of town during their stay.
DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE!!! My experience made me want to never support a local business again. The initial sales person was lovely, but failed to flag that a major cost difference between two products. When I later spoke with a senior sales person to exchange my purchase he was ATROCIOUS!!!! Incredibly rude and condescending. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE!!!
Very good service and convenient prices. They have replacement parts for Brompton and Giant.
I'm definitely a novice cyclist - buying my first ever set of gear and they were patient, helpful and didn't try to up-sell me. Definitely my new bike shop!
I'm a beginner to the world of biking and needed a commuter bike for work. One of the guys at the shop, Andrew, walked me through every step of the decision for almost three hours, answering all of my questions in a way that made me feel like a valued customer. These guys love their craft and want to spread that passion to everyone who walks through the door. Prices are very affordable, too. I'm a Ride Brooklyn customer for life, now. Wouldn't go anywhere else!
Great service. Awesome crew! The bike I bought from them is fantastic!
I bought my children s bikes here and the staff couldn t have been more helpful. I know nothing about bikes but they definitely made me feel at ease.
Theses guy are super helpful and knowledge when it comes to this bike world ,the best customer service I ever received in my life.I took a few rounds in prospect park with my giant defy right after being serviced by Rickey ,wow that's all I can say .Great job guys
Ride Brooklyn has become my go-to LBS during the pandemic and they have been helpful and responsive for everything I need! Bought by bike there in June, been getting some service there which has been incredibly smooth and efficient when I make an appointment. I recently got a Guru fit with Alex and he fixed my wonky left knee, highly recommend his services!
Super friendly neighborhood bike shop. Strikes a good balance between casual & fancy.
Most unpleasant experience ever. Maybe bc I am not an Avid bicycle person.
THE WORSE BIKE SHOP IN BROOKLYN NEWYORK !!!!!!!!!!!! SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY SOME WHERE ELSE CAUSE THESE GUYS ARE NOT IT
What amazing service! Popped in to get a water bottle holder. While they were installing it, as well as adjusting my bike lock clip to make room, they noticed an issue with my chain having slipped off the gears that they immediately set about fixing. Then while they were working on that they discovered a squeakiness in a rubber gasket and put a bit of lube on that. The $10 I paid for the water bottle holder is more than you'd have to pay online, but I got half a tune up for the price!
