Cool atmosphere, a little loud. You can't serve food on cold cast iron plates, and expect the food to be hot. That just defies physics. Some dishes we excellent. Burger, tuna tartar. Some were average. Pumpkin soup was too cold as well. Pork meatballs. Mussels, strip loin. Does this deserve to be #4 on trip advisor? No, i suspect there must be some TV hypenat play here.

The best food I've had in Toronto to date! One of the best restaurants I've been to in a while, in fact. The price is actually low for the quality of the food you get. My squash pasta was melt in your mouth.

Had the duck (left) & the burger, which is what the restaurant is apparently known for. The food & flavours were good but not outstanding. Atmosphere was great, long table style , socially inviting.

Welcoming waitress. Appetizers and dessert are amazing. The duck we ordered is pretty salty so not a big fan. The restaurant is quite noisy, so it's quite subjective if you will enjoy the atmosphere or not.

Great food, great service, amazing desserts. I went to high school with the past 2 head pastry chefs at Richmond Station and they are both extremely talented guys!!! The food here is great, but make sure you don't skip out on dessert! If there's anywhere to try some adventurous desserts, it's here. Mom loved it, decent portions, cool resto altogether. If you're looking for a cool, delicious, not exorbitantly priced place, this is it. Highly recommended to visitors and locals alike!

The "Tasty Toast" special was one of the best things I've ever tasted! The rest of the meal was incredible too!! Would highly recommend to anybody for a delicious, unpretentious meal in downtown.

Food was excellent. Beautiful presentation, however I ended up going on a lunch break which was disappointing as you definately need to take your time and experience all the different plates and beverages which I just didn't have time for unfortunately. The burger looks fabulous.... Next time

My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner and found the service and experience amazing. We got the tasting menu and found every course delicious and at $80, a great value. We loved that everything was locally sourced and the meat butchered in house. I must mention again how fantastic the staff is here and how welcoming they are. Overall, we had a wonderful meal here and will definitely be back.

Great atmosphere and excellent service. My friend enjoyed their famous burger and I had their special of the day, which was a delicious take on fish and chips. Their dessert, the black sesame ganache, was probably one the best desserts I've ever had from a Toronto restaurant (and that's saying something!). The only reason they lost a star was due their small portions and a beef tartare that fell flat (served on thick potato wedges that overpower the beef entirely).

The burger looked like the most 'regular' thing on the menu... But one of our group got it and it was by far one of the best items on the table. Not a negative comment to say about any of the items we tried on the menu, they were very accommodating with dietary restrictions, and the staff were very pleasant! Would highly recommend.

If you are looking for a culinary experience and are willing to step outside your comfort zone, this is the place for you. Everything is made in house (bread, mustard, everything). The charcuterie board I a must try!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Richmond Station - upon arrival for our reservation, we were quickly seated and our server was very helpful in explaining the menu. I ordered the Station Burger which was highly recommended by my colleague, while my wife ordered the Pierogies. We both loved the food! Although the restaurant was pricey, the service and quality was worth it. Will go again for another special occasion!

The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The beef tartar is an excellent appetizer to start. The duck duo was my main and it was moist and tender.

Atmosphere is somewhere between formal and casual. Staff were attentive once we were seated and explained the menu well. Would highly recommend this restaurant. I will come back.

Very good burger. Great service. I tried the steak tartar, it was delicious. I also tried the scallop dish. Very fresh and delicious. I love how consistent Richmond Station is. Always great food and great vibes. I recommend Richmond Station.

Been there many times. I will echo the others and say that food and services are absolutely divine. The prices are very competitive and the wine list just plain works.

Don't miss out on the treat of doing a tasting menu and wine pairing!

i highly recommend this dish! the beef is nicely done with a bit of pickled onions and parm cheese shavings on top of a 'croquet' of thinly sliced potatoes, thats stacked and fried to a crisp golden brown. quite flakey and just works really well together! a buttery vinaigrette and shaved smoked ham with sliced brussels sprouts, carrots and almonds. this was a very refreshing light salad.

Who: Table of 4
Why: Birthday dinner
When: Saturday evening
What: burger, pork three ways, steak special

This restaurant prepares and does everything extremely well. From vegetables to carb to protein, nothing was left unattended. It was easy to see and taste the care that went into the plating and preparation of the dishes we enjoyed. When we spoke with our server we learned that everything was made in house, whether it was the sourdough bread or the milk bun on the burger.

The atmosphere was fantastic, the service was exceptional, the food left me wanting more and more.

If you're looking to sample some great Canadian inspired food, Richmond Station is the place to go. The restaurant prides itself on sourcing local ingredients and creating innovative dishes. I loved the chilled corn soup - a perfect starter on a hot day and followed it up with the Berkshire pork.

In the last two weeks I have been here twice, once for lunch and another for dinner. From the outside it looks quite small but as you walk through the doors you are welcomed with high ceilings and a friendly hostess.

For lunch, there is a fixe menu available for $24 which includes an appetizer and main. However, I was craving a burger and so I opted for the Stn. Burger, medium rare and as per the menu: lettuce, beet chutney, aged cheddar, milk bun. Similar in texture to Marbens this burger is stuffed with beef short ribs although it looks small compared to other restaurant burgers it is quite substantial. As for the fries, they were aweseome! Perfectly cooked and tinged with rosemary, however it was quite salty! They were delicious on their own but even better with the horseradish-infused dipping sauce.

I also tried the duck two ways, parsnip puree, dilicata squash, gui s beans, swiss chard, pumpkin seed crust, spiced duck jus and wow so much flavour perfectly cooked!

On another occasion I had tried the roasted black cod as I love black code... miso squash puree, maitake mushrooms, broccoli, citrus marmalade, sesame, furikake however the drawback was that it was tad bit salty. Otherwise it was delicious.

Other plates we shared were the duck liver pate, oysters, and we had asked for the scallops as an app (it was part of the daily dinner special) and let s just say they were all perfect! I d like to go back to try the beef tartar so stay tuned!

Finished off dinner with dessert love the tea party although quite pricy, at $12 it was quite amazing whereby the 6 components were made with 6 different teas.

4/5 stars simply because on each occasion one component of the meal was too salty.

Richmond Station is consistently excellent. Service is friendly and the menu has great options at many price points. The vibe is casual but the kitchen clearly takes their job seriously. It's always interesting to see how Toronto restaurants carry themselves after being open for a few years. Evidence shows Richmond Station only gets better with age.

Pro tip- if you love their meat program (including their excellent burgers), you can order them to be delivered to your house through their West Side Beef Co extension.

Excellent restaurant for a relatively speaking affordable price, given the quality. The sizes are perfect, I had the small quinoa salad and the duck liver, and it's a great feeling to get out of the restaurant having had just enough, not too much.

We absolutely loved our take out experience from Richmond Station. We used a gift card we received for our wedding (over 2 yrs ago - which they honoured!). The dishes are creative and the flavours fantastic. On top of that, when I asked if I could leave a tip Kat told me they don t take gratuity, because they don t rely on patrons generosity for staff to make a living. Instead they pay their staff well! What a concept! I would definitely recommend Richmond station to anyone. Bravo

This place surprised me positively. The modern menu of the restaurant offers different dishes at reasonable prices and the desserts also follow the modern cuisine and offer different flavors. Worth mentioning is the dessert of white chocolate and mint and the hamburger. Very good. The bruschetta besides being large is very good.

Attentive, but not overbearing service. The Chef's Table was a great experience. Rabbit and lamb were cooked to the perfect temperature. Baked Alaska style dessert was with a wine ice cream and panna cotta. Delicious. We will be returning.

The Richmond Station offers a variety of food, drinks and wine and my experience was delightful.
It might be difficult to get a table so if you can do a reservation beforehand. I was in a group of 4 and we sited on a tall shared table, it was comfortable enough. I tried the Riesling wine and it was very good, for food we had the Duck Liver Mousse, Bread, Oyster Fried Chicken, fried Polenta, ossobuco bolognese and a kind of Mediterranean pizza - it was all very very good and well prepared. The service is also lovely, all of the people that interacted with us were kind and knowledgeable on the food they were serving.

5 star food and 5 star service. The menu changes often, but the salads and desserts never disappoint. Waitress paired our meal well with recommended wine. The dessert was a home made chocolate bar with the perfect combination of chocolate, salt and spiced nuts.

Will return.

So apparently the menu changes continuously with some fixed items. Highly recommend the burger and the polenta fries. The beef duo was really good too, it's 2 pieces of beef cooked two different ways. It's better to make reservation, though they were able to accommodate us.

I came here when a local highly recommended it to me and insisted I had to have the burger. I don't typically order a burger at this type of restaurant but I went with the recommendation and I'm so glad I did. Along with the chicken fried mushroom starter, it was all excellent. It's not an extensive menu but I've found that usually means that what they do, they do really well. I dropped in at 5pm on a Monday thinking a reservation wouldn't be necessary. Wrong. Well, as a single traveler they were able to get me in at the bar, but if I'd been with friends it would have been a wait even at that time. The word is definitely out that this is a great place to go.

I was gifted a dinner here by a good friend. He comes here regularly, I'm not sure I could ever afford to but I would if I could. Again, i ordered the rabbit pasta and some charcuterie with I think truffle pig butter. Decadent but so worth it. I was told they offered cooking classes and I would definitely be interested in taking one next time I'm up North. Great Job!

Really mediocre food played off as high end. I have seriously had tv dinners which I enjoyed much more than the food I had here.

We barely ate any of the pulled beef and polenta dish we ordered.

Food was unreal and what s amazing food without fabulous service? Our server Admon was on point! His explanations of the dishes from the chefs tasting menu helped guide us through a one of a kind dining experience. Would deff recommend especially if you only have a short visit to the city!
