Went to Rich Mix for the first time last night. Pleasantly surprised. I went to listen to 'Four London Poets.' Which was a great evening of words. The venue was perfect, cosy and the staff friendly. Will happily travel across London for this venue. More poetry and spoken word please Rich Mix

One of the best local cinemas, both for quality and range of what is offered, as well as the strong work they do in arts and performance. Focused on being in accessible to Tower Hamlets residents, so if you have an Ideas store card you can More

A welcoming space in an area that is becoming more and more exclusive and gentrified. Rich Mix provides plenty of free events and other affordable ones, I've been to a few gigs and to the cinema there too. An annual favourite is the DIY Cultures festival. The staff don't mind if you sit inside and use the free WiFi either, which has been a lifeline for me during some downpours.

I was a fan of Rich Mix before COVID-19 hit us and even more so now. I was a bit nervous about going to the cinema as a previous experience at a multiplex was not that great in terms of safety, but this was so much better. Every other row was blocked off and seat selections were given out very carefully to ensure everyone had space. Lots of sanitiser and screens for the staff in place. I was very impressed and it made the experience much more comfortable and enjoyable.

for great entertainment and live music richmix is the one to visit. with an open mic the centre allows great artists to show what they got and bring music and art to shoreditch.
with cheap cinema viewings its a nice evening out for those who are watching their wallets.

Rich Mix's Tuesday Pongathon has succeeded in bringing out the frenetic joy of pinging and ponging with friends. Whilst sipping G&Ts and tapping your paddle to the beat of fresh tunes you can challenge your friends for the title of King of Ping (pong). Even when you are not playing there is enough entertainment watching others hit and miss alike!

Great night out and a sure cure for the Tuesday blues!

Excellent customer service, especially with Covid safety measures. Friendly. Very comfortable cinema chairs with big screen. For my first experience it was great and I would definitely revisit God willing in the future

I've been there couple times for the movie theatre. Rooms are clean and overall excellent conditions to watch movies. There is also a bar / music scene which always look / sounds very attractive. A vibrant place to go, I recommend it.

Pro tip: if you live at all in the area, get a membership. The benefits more than cover the cost of the membership (like movie tickets included) and you can use the card at partner locations - like the tapas restaurant across the street or Indigo Indian restaurant next door. Frequently revolving set of arts and entertainment, so check back frequently to see what's on. Every neighborhood and community should have a Rich Mix.

Good local independent cinema with other events to participate in or view during week day and weekend such as gigs etc..with a eatery inside. Easily accessible from bethnal green tube or Shoreditch overground or plenty of buses from not far away within walking distance. Or two buses that stop extremely close outside or opposite.
Not a large cinema, seating is quite comfortable showing a range of current and independent movies. If your hoping for the experience of some of the well known established cinemas then this is not for you.

Great little cinema next on shoreditch high street (Bethnal green road). Perfect image and sound quality and a great selection of films on. Very comfy seats!
This place is great to take a date or to go on your own if you re a cine-holic like me :)
Very laid back vibe with lovely, helpful and polite staff.

Great little venue for gigs. A good size, but small enough to create a decent atmosphere. Acoustics weren't bad in there either. The stage room has a bar at the side with a wide selection of drinks as well.

Not tried the cinema, but they've got a lot of interesting films on, so I'd say it's worth a look.

This is a really nice cinema/venue, I come here very weekend, and I have seen some great stuff here, the live music is exceptional, and the audience vibe is lovely, the gallery on your way to the cinema is great to, and is usually to do with refugees, which is nice, and then the cinema screens are nothing special, but always reasonable prices, and for central (ish) London the food and snacks are pretty good too.

Great place and above all riff raff free!! No hoodlums here like other cinema houses. Bonus is that there are often party farty events going on here too! With Brick lane just across the road for loads of bars and eateries.
