I bought a Maytag dishwasher from Rice s Appliances in February 2020, it worked up until October 2020. I have gone through the hoops to try to do things the right way. My husband and I are full time working parents with a blended family of 5 children. We do not have the time or luxury to buy a new dishwasher. We are a paycheck to paycheck family. Rice s sent us to a repair place, they came out, told us we needed 3 parts, 1 part was not in stock. It has now been over 2 months and I still haven t got a working dishwasher. Rice s Appliances won t do anything after visiting them and explaining my situation, except try to get with the repair place. We have spent more in paper goods over the last 2 months than we should have and at this point I should have put towards a new dishwasher. Because we work full time, time is not a luxury we have, so doing dishes for a family of 7 multiple times a day isn t something we have the time to do, hence the new dishwasher and what we thought and were advised on was a good dishwasher. One would think that when a hard working pay check to paycheck family supports the local businesses versus corporate business, there would be way better Customer Service, we should have been offered a new dishwasher or a refund, we will never shop at Rice's again, nor will recommend to anyone they shop there. I have been given better Customer Service from local Etsy owners on $5 purchases!
April 23 I went to purchase a new refrigerator since mine was dying. The salesman said we could have our refrigerator on the 30th and I said I hope so because ours is ready to quit. The 29th came and went with no delivery time so I called them on the 30th(delivery day) and was told we couldn't have it until the 15th of May. I went to get a refund then on to Home Depot where I got the same item and delivered a week later. We wanted to give local businesses rather than the Big Box stores but this proves local businesses need to step up their customer service and make your word your bond. Warning stay away from this business.
Prices were MSRP, so no sale price on what I was looking for. At least they had the dryer I was looking for in stock. I think the delivery price of $89 is high, however it does include installation, all required parts to connect, and removal of old dryer. Salesman was blah at best, I did all the research before going there to purchase.
We just had our appliances delivered a day ago. Everything went as planned as far as time because of covid many companies are having issues with orders. Rick the general manger happen to be our salesmen and he could not be more informative about the products, and a very nice man.
The delivery men where outstanding. Justin and Paul. Called the night before with the delivery time, on time and very nice. Justin went out of his way to explain, check out appliances , and knew exactly what he was doing. Nicest delivery guys we have ever had.
Glad to give our business to a "mom and pop" store rather then a big box store and just a number.
We went all over, best price and got great service from Rick when we walked in the door.
Not only when one purchases something it should be good service but also as far as a delivery. Justin and Paul are a extension of the great service.
I have purchased numerous appliances from Rice s, and I have had an amazing experience each and every time. Not only are they a hometown mom and pop store, but they truly care about their customers. From the sale, to the delivery and installation, they give 5 star service. I would recommend Rice s to anyone looking for a new appliance. They are the best!
Extremely nice showroom upon entrance. I prefer locally owned as opposed to corporate greed when I do my purchasing, as much as I can, of course. The gentleman greeted me as I came in and I asked for the young man I spoke to on the phone who was off for the day. I told him what I was looking for and he led me to it, showed me a few things about it, compared it to others, etc. We sat down to finalize the deal and he credited it to the salesman I talked to a few days ago. I found that credible! Kudos to him! Pleased and will update after delivery since the dryer was ordered already but due to arrive in a couple of weeks.
2/22/21 Update - our appliances were installed today, on time, and with very professional installers. We love everything about the new looks and features. I will recommend Rice to our friends.

Very disappointed with this store's management. Called the store to make sure they delivered in our area, after this was confirmed I obtained model info etc. This morning drove to the store and bought 2 appliances. Upon returning home we received a v message that they couldn't deliver here.
Before I read your response to my review, I called back and spoke to the store manager and he refused to deliver to us. This is contrary to what your response says. So who's telling the truth? We really liked the appliances and the sales clerk.
My husband and I purchased a full LG package, four appliances. We purchased them in July 2020 and they were delivered in November 2020. We are no in April of 2021 and two of our four appliances are rusting. When contacting Rice I was informed that LG would send out a representative but I may have to pay for the visit since rusting is not covered under the warranty. In my option if your stainless steel rusts in five months it is not a quality product. Why would your company want to promote and sell substandard products? To be told by customer service you do not make the products just sell them, is a cop out on taking any responsibility. Why don t you also sell cars. You don t make those either. Very disappointed. Especially for a mom and pop place....
In January we ordered a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator. We expected delivery in four weeks. Four months later we got another phone call about delayed delivery. Today we went to Rice s and picked out a Frigidaire that was in stock to have delivered next week. Although the refrigerator is not really what I wanted, it will replace one that is on its last leg.
Rice s provided excellent customer service. Avery was always communicating with us throughout the delays and was very helpful in setting is up with the replacement and refunding the difference.
In no way is Rice s responsible for the delays that are being caused my Whirlpool s corporate problems. I highly recommend Rice s Appliances for your appliance needs.
