Great rooms, confortable and next to a beautiful neigbour.
Great rooms, confortable and next to a beautiful neigbour.
Big rooms but a bit dark. Great staff, faculties and close to town
Possible Norway's best breakfast dot should be tried!
A game of two halves. On the one hand, it was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had at a hotel (if a little overwhelming). On the _other_ hand a drunk, naked Norweigan man let himself into my room at 2am. No, really. Oh, and the hotel has some fairly disturbing artwork in the foyer, which made me think someone had slipped something into my drink.
Really good food, rooms are a bit basic, but wow the food is much more than you would expect.
Fun to try the famous breakfast, could have been nicer room.
Yes. Norway's best breakfast! But bread quality can be lifted a lot! And crispy bacon? Super barista service. Room ... totally A4. No more. Poor ventilation and ventilation.
Nice, fresh room. A little messy at the reception. Fantastic breakfast.
Nice and central location by the Nidelven.
Walking distance to "everything".
Good breakfast and nice rooms. Meeting.
View of the river from most rooms.
Ill good breakfast! Good rooms of good standard but lacking air conditioning and the room was hot and poor air. Even with window open.
Quick and pleasant reception. Very good room. Lovely breakfast.
Scandic Nidelven has Norways best breakfast 10 years in a row. You can get freshly made omelet, theres a barista and a juice guy that makes about every juice you want. Theres also a great selection of warm food and cold food. Lots of different breads, many toppings, eggs in 4 forms, scrambled, fried, cooked and omelet. When you finally get what you want you get an excellent view of the beautiful Nidelven river which is the river that flows through Trondheim and out in the ocean.
Fantastic breakfast.! Great service, accomodating staff
Great location. Very comfortable rooms. Awesome breakfast buffet!
Fantastic experience at the hotel with the best breakfast in all of Norway - Scandic Nidelven. Stayed for two nights, stored our bicycles with ease, admired the (always) impressive lobby, got a great room with bathtub and found the pretty incredible breakfast in the mornings. They open it from 7am to 10am during week days, you can have as much as you want and I encourage anyone to do just that! I recommend the home made pesto on one of the freshly baked slices of bread - some olives... hmmm. And soy yoghurt too, what a luxury! The barista at the coffee bar (doesn't exist in any other hotel) made excellent coffee with vast knowledge of what he was doing. Slightly sour beans.
Those are all the pro's! The only con I can think of is the lack of a bigger amount of vegan products at the breakfast - something all Scandic hotels (and all the other hotels in Norway) have to work on.
Lovely and very varied breakfast buffet. Very central, making it easy to stroll around the city.
Norway's best hotel breakfast, and one of Trondheim's better hotels. Nice service. We booked a double room which was very spacious. Nice view over Nidelven. The room had a bath, although it was a little small. The breakfast is amazing, with freshly baked pancakes, freshly ground coffee, homemade jams and much more. Here is so much good food that you have to go several times to supply yourself ... Recommended!
Friendly staff who are serviceminded Very good and great breakfast
I am happy to return here
Very good breakfast, decent rooms but very expensive.
Incredible breakfast.
Comfortable and service minded staff with great knowledge.
One of the better hotels of Scandic. Medium size rooms but nicely decorated. Fantastic breakfast voted the best in the country. One small move for extreme saving shower ...
A pleasant hotel. I can easily understand the reason why it has been awarded several times for their breakfast! Really good!
Great conference facilities, AV working, good air conditioning. Breakfast and lunch is exceptional, but also very popular. Expect a waiting line for the buffet. That said, it's all worth it.
Very central in Trondheim. A professional hotel with pleasant service
Wonderful breakfast buffet! Simply! Endless possibilities for both drinks and eating, lots of vitamin shots and freshly made coffee shop with its own barista. "Dessert" area and children's area. They even have lots of different crispbread.
Nicely decorated. Good location and nice service. The beds are unfortunately too soft and they do not have a parking space, but they are trifles compared to everything you get in this package.
A very good Christmas lunch buffet. You share good food and nice atmosphere.
Everything is above standard. Good service, nice people and good food. The location of the restaurant is nice with overview to the river at the city centre.
The breakfast is very good. Located nice by the Nidelven river and it is a short distance to the Solsiden.
Nice hotel that always delivers good breakfast. A little cramped in the breakfast room with a view to infecting covid19
Fantastic hotel in a central location. Modern and freshly decorated. The breakfast is undoubtedly Norway's best. However, very surprised that such a good hotel does not have air conditioning. The room was very hot!
Modern Scandic convention property. Large conference centre nearby as well as competing hotels. 100m walk from train, easy service to airport.
Food is good. Chaine Des Rotisseurs plaque in lobby but we did not tap into that. Standard large Scandic breakfast buffet.
Get room on water side -- have better views.
Friendly efficient staff.
Nice hotel located at beautiful Nidelven, d was served lots of good food both for lunch dinner and breakfast. There were decent rooms but heard the traffic outside quite well so d did not go to sleep with the window open. Nice proximity to the city center and the sunny side and Bakklandet.
Nice clean rooms with a good bed. Needed to work in the evening , and both the desk and wireless network made that easy. The breakfast is legendary. Make sure you have enough time to enjoy it fully. The online check out was hard to find, but short queue and friendly staff made check out a breeze.
All good, until you realize your room is in the end of another building what you have to reach by walking 10 minutes and take 2 different elevators
Got a beer, great and quick service, and a lovely atmosphere inn the lounge area
Breakfast can not be described, must be experienced
We stayed here for the first time in February and were impressed with the services and the much advertised breakfast. Then there weren't so many guests. This time around it wasn't the same. The temperature in the room can't be regulated. For breakfast, the coffee bar was out of order as well as the fresh orange juice presser. And they went out of bread.
Best hotel and best breakfast in Trondheim. Take your time for breakfast. Here is a lot to choose from! Nice hotel rooms and good beds. Good cleaning.
Nice service. The Scandic chain is great for us with dogs.
Great location, parking two blocks away for 190 kr/day, slow check-in, decent room except the dirty shower (hair... Gross), fantastic breakfast buffet, friendly staff, efficient check out system.
The hotel is centrally located in Trondheim and has a breakfast that surpasses most.
Like, restaurant has a great selection with good locale prices. Location in the city center allows shopping.
Great hotel. Friendly service, clean and pleasant rooms and a wonderful breakfast. Definitely recommended.
Lunch with spouse, son, daughter & 2 grandchildren. Exquisite food & great service from the hotel staff. Will definitely return.
Very happy with the stay! Best hotel breakfast I have experienced in Norway. Recommended!
Room was quite old but clean and big. Best breakfast in Norway for 13 years.
Very good breakfast. Really nice location, and very helpful staff. Only downside is the room was too warm and seemed to keep heating back up regardless of what I tried, even though it was only around 10 degrees outside. I assume they keep the heating on full blast in the room directly below me or something!
Very good hotel. Good and lots at the breakfast buffet. A little move because we didn't get a view of the Nidelven.
