A small but well designed museum on architecture. It is RIBA's North West Centre and has exhibitions on Liverpool's old and more new architecture. Just the building and design of the museum is worth going to see. I was amazed by how much I got from a relatively small place.

I visit with my 9 year old there is an interactive 3d map of Liverpool buildings. We enjoy knowing more about the architecture of the city. I think will benefit of more activities apart from the expositions.

Part of the Mann Island complex, the RIBA North is a little tucked away in the rear of The Open Eye Gallery. Plenty of gallery space and a neat little shop. Current exhibit is 25 years of Urban Splash, (I am feeling so old!) which was a fabulous exhibit. The RIBA North building is worthy of a visit in its own right. And most exhibitions are totally free.

Dock side dining club was great.. lovely gin cocktail served by matty om the bar.
our group had a bit of everything that was on offer.
Haku sushi bar was amazing, Guillermo serves fantastic quesadillas.
Our Dutch friends had the bitterballen from chip'd(a taste of home) and thoroughly enjoyed.
I got my hands dirty with the you've pulled pork and chorizo on a burger and their house slaw was delicious
We also had a thai green curry pizza from pizza co which was interesting and delicious!
There is also a traditional style cafe in there serving up classic fish chips and peas which we were also tempted by.... certainly next time!

Given the wealth of creative and engineering output of British architecture over the last 500 years (in Liverpool and beyond) I was hoping for something much more visual and technical. An empty gallery, a couple of dog eared books and something about hemp.
