Restaurant Westewind Review

Coffee and chocolate not at all good. Messy service with spilled coffee on plates, stuck coffee grains, forgotten sugars etc.

Dry plaice fillet! Save before the war! And lukewarm Radler!

Nice location. Friendly service, good food. Theater menu taken not expensive and ready on time.

We wanted to eat a snack, 4 adults and 2 children. In short, pay our assessment of food and drinks 160 to 200. One of the children sat in the back, there was also eating some people. The waiter on duty said that that place is not available (???). We also found Westwind unavailable and went to another restaurant.
We leave this restaurant behind for a very long time.

What a bad (2nd!) Experience. Last Sunday we had to wait a long time for our coffee and cake, now 2 days later again! Have sat there for 25 min when my apple pie came, the cappuccino still had to wait 30 minutes. Bizarre. Not a 3rd time here for us.

The burger was ok but nothing outstanding. The service was super friendly.

Well I am not impressed .... The chicken satay I had was dry old chicken and it was not satay but peanut sauce. The fries were not tasty either. Too thin, fried too hard, and the wrong potatoes. The salad that came with it was certainly not fresh and left something to be desired. !!!! They get an unsatisfactory from me ... 5

Remove the curry with rice from the menu. It is not worthy of the name curry. I had the idea of spurning supermarket food from a microwave. Nice place, nice staff, but this was a disappointment.

Dropped down late yesterday evening with a westerly wind. We had good experiences. Had idd. After a long time our order was taken by a girl who said it was very busy and wanted to go home. Half of the card was already gone. Well she took our order and left ..... Just nothing passed on to the kitchen. When we asked after an hour where our food was staying, it turned out that there wasn't any ..... after a conversation with the chef, he indicated that we got a drink for free and should really have raised the alarm earlier. But sorry: if you cannot handle the work as a waiter, chef or chef and the customer has to encourage you to start cooking, you are not worth your business. After a short discussion, we paid half of the drink bill. Still too much in my opinion, but we wanted to leave. Advice: For the time being no Westewind if it is unexpectedly busy on Scheveningen. They have not played on it.

Since I have had a stomach reduction I wanted to order a children's menu and my husband a normal meal. This was not allowed following the operation. Apparently they prefer to waste. Even after explanation, he was "allowed" to sell the children's menu only to children. Bad thing! Bad understanding service.

Really good food but the service was slow because there was only one staff for taking care of 20 guests. A lot clients left after waiting 30 minutes without being served... But nice location, food was good - and it has a beautiful view on the passing people.

Fantastic Sunday buffet breakfast. Staff professional and friendly, above the average in the Netherlands.

Quite okay as a restaurant. Nice inside by the gas fireplace. Nice seats. The food gets a 7 from us. Nice and nice service.

Very nice restaurant, with very friendly service. Delicious coffee and a small selection of cakes made a visit perfect. We would go back.

Coffee was reasonable. Soup of the day (smoked paprika, probably from a package) was reasonably successful. French onion soup was a watery drama without taste. When the waiter asked if everything was satisfactory, he was informed of this and he indicated that this was normal. Then paid and left. What a mockery this tent.

Having arrived there, the reception was a bit confusing and did not pay any attention to us. For the second time asked which table we could sit was difficult because our son wanted to sit by the fireplace. Eventually we were assigned a table. Very tight between the other tables but we were seated.

The card was not really much choice. In connection with a gluten allergy, we asked whether people had gluten-free bread to which the answer was no. Finally, after two questions we received the allergy card. When inquiring at another colleague they indicated that they served gluten-free bread (?!) When we confronted the person who first spoke to her and indicated that this was strange, she answered that she always indicated that she was this did not serve because 1.50 extra was charged, because the purchase of this bread is more expensive (?!) and discussions about this wanted to occur.

We wanted to order an omelette instead of a bouncer with vegetables without bread, but that was not possible.

Ultimately carpaccio without bread ordered, but there was still in this dish a kind of cruton = wheat !!

Twice asked where the previously ordered glasses of wine remained, we were served this when we had lunch almost finished.

We have told the owner about the not too friendly colleague and the way of answering the question about the gluten-free bread!

No more Westewind for us!

Just sent away because they are closed, I still see a number of people sitting inside eating and drinking. Not done, I want to pay money to your jerks, just a drink on this nice evening, don't come to take money from you.

Delicious eaten. We had received the lion king discount, where you got 2 dishes for a much lower amount (18.99) p.p.

This limited the choice of dishes.

Carpaccio without any taste. Too fat and too hard fried fries with a steak or sole, even without any taste. The factory gravy was the only thing with a taste, but you shouldn't even serve it with a good steak. Upon reporting about the blandness of the food we were given a sincere and not even surprised we will be re-passed to the cook. Also the couples behind us and past us were only complaining about the bland food. Dessert but not even tried. Also an account is not possible you will see the amount on the handheld and that was it.

We were here for breakfast. Delicious. Priced it was okay. The service was very friendly. The Loka is located directly on the promenade overlooking the sea. We recommend.

Cozy ambience, but we've been sitting here for 20 minutes and obviously the waiter doesn't intend to come to us.
