Restaurant Westewind Review

If you are a little concerned with the environment then it is best to avoid this place. It was 24 degrees outside and sunny and yet on the terrace outside the gas heating was on. Also inside the gas fire was burning while nobody was present. I asked the room staff about this and they did not understand what the problem was. The owner likes this and that is why these gas stoves continue to waste cozy gas in the summer. Simply ridiculous!

Delicious breakfast buffet very extensive and good. For a very low price

Food fine unfortunately the service collapsed after the main course. Bit of a shame Westewind.

Had a delicious west wind breakfast. Beautiful view and fantastic service. Not too expensive considering the location. Recommended!

Nice establishment. Enjoyed a Bouncer while enjoying great music. Latte with caramel in a large glass and orange juice both okay. Quite reasonable at the price all.

For the Schevenings'e promenade really cheap! A very good selection of dishes the great taste. The staff is friendly and attentive. A view of the North Sea there is free.

Ordered a mixed grill and didn't even get the value of half a mixed grill in front of me.
When addressing the ministry, I was looked at as if I was crazy and no respect was shown.
The prices for the drinks are also wrong. The service mentions a price and then it turns out to be much more expensive.
Maybe buy a drink card after all? Because apparently there was none.
Also asked when a mini box of mayonnaise was offered if it was free and the answer was yes.
Until I got the bill and it turned out to be 60 cents too.
In the end, not even a cup of coffee was offered, given the problems.

Long story short:
Bad restaurant, shitty service, too little food for the price and no respect for the customers.

VAT:
When we wanted to leave a person from the service admitted that the food is not always good and there is no logic in the portions. Sometimes there is more on your plate than other times.

Very friendly staff, and a nice place to just have drink after a (cold) walk on the beach.

Cozy place with enough atmosphere. We opted for a cheap 3-course theater menu. I wasn't expecting much from it, but it was tasty and good portions. The soup was fresh, the steak was tender and good in taste, plenty of chips and tasty vegetables. Service was good. The heater at our place was broken, so they looked for a new place for us.

Today, November 18, 2017 we have eaten and enjoyed delicious here. At 1600 started with a drink with some goodies. Then enjoyed the spare ribs and the steak. Staff are friendly and fast!

Eaten here prior to the musical. Previously good experiences, but this time it was a bit disappointing. The food was not completely flavored unfortunately. Service was friendly.

We were also allowed to have the little snacks as an evening meal outside of drink time. Cozy atmosphere with an extensive menu.

We only had a tea and a dessert for two (15euros) so I can only judge in that sense. The help was reallg friendly amd open when you step into the restaurant. The interior is also quite nice. The dessert platter however was a bit dissapointing.... it consisted of a 2 scoops of rasberry sorbet, whipped cream, (horrible and dry) cheesecake, creme brulee and chocolate lava cake. It was not that bad but I wouldn't order it again. The atmosphere is great tho so if you just come for that its ok.

Theatermenue has a great value for money. Three courses for 20 euros for this location directly on the sea, right on the promenade.

We were there at 11.30 and the wait staff was unbelievably slow and inattentive. Our table was first cleared and wiped after we were seated and he smelled like musty rags. As the buffet ended shortly thereafter, we asked for the map and were thus seemingly unattractive guests. The end of the story was that we only had one cocoa and then walked to Tigershark, where we could really eat nice.

Good food good staff !! Just a pity that the crannies were a little too low for me but badly my fault could have been somewhere else than Zane

Very bad service. We had been waiting for 30 minutes for our food to arrive, then we were told our order was forgotten. Later, my girlfriend's plate was almost snatched away while she was eating her last bit of food, and we were ignored when we asked if we could pay. In the end we went to the bar ourselves to pay.

The food itself was mediocre, and couldn't make it.

Steak was baked very hard by baking instead of medium, fries.
Have eaten better.

Very slow service, food not that impressive, the fish was ok, but now special, burger is ok, the fries sucks. I guess if you want to order hamburger, it is ok, for anything else, find another place

Worthless tent! First a table next to us 1 of the 4 dishes 45min late table further wrong order! Then came my grilled salmon that was not cooked! After that you will be rejected by the service because you say something about it !! Cozy dinner out ruined !!! Straight pussy tent !!!

Tuesday, February 14, 2017, Valentine's Day. We come in at 14:45 for a drink and a small lunch. After receiving the card and the drink, at 3:15 pm someone finally comes to take the order: a sandwich and hot meat sandwich. 15:35: I ask when we can receive the order. The waiter says that he does not know and that we only ordered 10 minutes ago. Woman angry, I angry. Waiter is going to ask. Arrives at 3:40 pm with the order. No excuse, nothing. In the meantime, our bill has been received by our neighbors on the right, who are already very angry about the long wait. Waiter is going to get a new bill for our neighbors. No excuse, nothing. At 3:55 pm we paid the bill. No excuse, nothing. WHAT A POOR OPERATION. You cannot hide to say that the service is understaffed, when 7 tables are occupied and 3 waiters are present. Guests to our left have also left without ordering. This is not a ministry as it should be. People, I don't demand much, but having to wait over 50 minutes until you can eat a sandwich and hot meat sandwich is very long.

Operation does not radiate a feeling of "heat". Takes a long time before the card is brought and the order is taken. Service and kitchen will smoke a lot under the service, so that actions such as covering the cutlery are forgotten. The food was reasonably flavored but served cold. Enough reasons for us to never come back here.

After a day of fresh air on Scheveningen we stepped inside at Westewind. Cozy by the fireplace. Friendly staff.
On the advice of the waiter, we took the Special: Tataki tuna. Man man man, what was it really honest. All other dishes were also super tasty. They just asked if the main course could already be served. You don't see that often anymore.

Everything else also clean. All in all great!

A lot of money for a moderate goat cheese salad. Sufficient goat cheese but little salad.

This afternoon, sitting on the terrace for fifteen minutes without anyone coming.
Perhaps it is better not to dress the terrace if you do not have the time or desire to serve the guests there.
