Nice stay at a quiet square in the middle of the city

Nice little hidden gem downtown with lovely and sunny terrace.

It is nice to sit there, service is friendly but the menu is not that special.

Nice setting. Excellent personel. Easily reachable rokin stop metro 52.

I went to an exhibit here organised by IDFA. It was interactive and Virtual Reality documentaries. It was really well curated and organised. The staff was really helpful. The place was easy to find and I spent two hours looking at all the work. Thank You

we found the evening meal delicious and affordable. the extras (such as fries) turned out to be expensive and disappointing.
we had cheesecake, brownie and apple pie for dessert: the brownie turned out to be a bland, bitter chocolate pie, the cheesecake turned out to be boring and the apple pie not apple pie.

he would pass on his complaint about the "brownie". but the waiter seemed unimpressed

Slightly hidden, and popular with locals. This bar has great beer, and great food.

Casual atmosphere, smooth service. The stew is very tasty and Brakke Grond dessert is highly recommended. All in all, a great place to sit and have something to eat.

Nice place where to have a quick bite in a very lively area. There is an underground bike parking just behind it.

I shouldn't really write this, but if you are a visitor to the city it seems scary to venture out of the busy Rokin street. But go one street over to the Nes to find a bit more local vibe.

De Brakke Grond is one of those local places. Get your real Dutch Bitterballs here together with plenty of other great casual snacks and foods. Good beer selection as well.

Usually the services is great, with friendly smiles and quick service. Sometimes it is a bit more "local style" service...

We were only here for a drink, but this was a very quiet place! It is a bit remote from the busy streets, but there was one waiter who thought "Yes I just give them their way and I'll leave it at that." For the rest a nice place.

Very poor service! Ignores you completely and then does very little. Not recommended. Tip: De Bierfabriek is just around the corner.

Nice place in the lee of the Dam.
The (Burgundian) Belgian menu does not really match the somewhat alternative ambiance of the interior. But the food is very tasty

Black Agnus Beef Burger!! Its the healthiest burger I have had in a long time, didnt take a picture, but it was amazing! The french fries are sooo tasty, I would definitely go back the next time Im in Amsterdam! Staff is friendly, service was good, and its quick, good for hungry people

Delicious hamburger with very good fries on a cozy terrace. The square makes it special. Peaceful and intimate.

You pay 13.50 for an AVOCADO burger and there is literally 3 forged cubes of avocado on it. And the loades fries for 8.50 are gwn frozen fries with some sauce on top. This is really deeply sad ....

Name cafe honors food. Food is also broke. And me now too. Just come back from putting away an evening of beer. Uber back to Den Helder cost me and Jantine, Kees, Erik and Yvette 260 !!!!! And then you only get a hybrid wagon. I am now on my way with the leg wagon, mooring for a cup of coffee in Wieringerwaard. And then Sunday is over again. Back to work tomorrow.

Nice terrace out of the wind, in the sun and always a place left. The operation seems often understaffed.

Relaxed square with terrace. Operation may be happier mast for the rest. Prices are top not too expensive. In short, recommended.

Next to one of the croudiest places in Amsterdam you have the Nes square, a little safe haven of rest. Here you find flemish culture house, de brakke grond. They serve nice food for a reasonable price and have one of the best apple pies that i know off. And a good selection of belgian beers. Wether it is lunch (they have early sun), dinner or drinks its a good place to run off to for some relaxation. The staff is always friendly and helpful however they won't watch your every move and delivery can take a while. So come here for relaxation not for a rush, and if needed grab the attention of the friendly staff for another round :). (While you do not get it by default, ask for a free jug of water to go with your beers your head will thank you in the morning).

Lovely location right in the middle of the city center. Make sure to visit here for a nice cup of coffee or beer while you are exploring the city.

A pearl of the Belgian flamingos in Amsterdam. A quiet place in front of a small square behind Hudson Bay in Amsterdam. Simple food and an escape from congestion in the middle of the center.

Nice bar, with a great terrace where you can enjoy the crowds passing by. But they do not have any heating or blankets so it not that nice if its cold. Inside its quit small and full quickly.

2 latte drinks. They serve it in a glass mug without a saucer. The latte passes the spoon test but it tastes very watery. Not the best.

After ordering the food have to wait about 45 minutes to hear that they have forgotten to pass it on to the kitchen, then wait another 45 minutes so that you expect a tasty hamburger. He was very bland and waiting for such a time if you are not hungry anymore then you just want to leave as quickly as possible I have not had a good experience here Maybe it is incidental and that the ministry did not have their day in this is forgiven

Great little cafe, in a side street, near the palace. A toasti with cheese as a small snack, highly recommended. The service is super friendly

Worst burger in Amsterdam. Beef that smelled very bad. Mediocre service.

I have visited the place twice now for small parties, I would say it is a decent place to be at and very close to dam square!

On a nice square, not too expensive and very pleasant to sit here for something to eat and drink.
