Beautiful modern food with a clean fresh taste. Very friendly staff who are willing to please. A lovely view of the Border between Queensland and New South Wales. My pork belly, soft shell crab, soft tacos and other accompliments were very yummy.
Overpriced. $28 for a smoked salmon salad that was pretty poor (salmon was brown in parts and salad was mediocre) was daylight robbery. Better coffe and Bambi Deluxe, better service, cheaper and tastier food. Skip this place.

My daughter was dissatisfied with her salad and the manager refunded the cost and gave her a coffee.! The sweet waitress also apologized - this place will certainly keep us returning.

Very sad, today lunch was awful. Three meals left three people feeling very ill. Slow service, oily food, presented food lacked all of menu's ingredients. Lost us as customers, we are locals, we will spread the word.

We just went in for some ice-cream and had a look at the menu and I was impressed, we ended up having a light meal and coffee, everything was delicious and well presented. Special thanks to the staff that were very attentive and quick. We are definitely coming back

Have frequented this beautiful Cafe over the last few years and the standard has remained exceptional. Fantastic food and loverly drinks with views to die for plus a great vibe about the place. If you haven't experienced Cafe Dbar then its about time you did, its very worth it.
Fantastic location, decent coffee, nice eggs benny. Beware the gap between breakfast and lunch at around 11am. For about 30 mins you can get a meal, only snacks, drinks.
Very slow service. We eventually received our coffee, then received our very small portion eggs Benedict about 20 min after the coffee. My gf meal was very small - I was given one slice of gf toast (which they wanted to charge me $2 for) and removed the non gf potatoes from my meal, but would not substitute anything. My meal included a non generous serving of salmon. $20 plus $2 for gf toast which they did not charge, after I complained.

Excellent location. I ve always had good service here. It s generally pretty busy and sometimes this can slow down the service. They will always try fit you in if they look full and the coffee is good.
We spontaneously chose this cafe/ restaurant/ bar to have dinner. The restaurant is only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The food was of great quality, the portion size as well as the price appropriate. The service was also great and with a big window front facing the ocean, the atmosphere was fantastic. For special occasions or on public holidays it's probably good to make a reservation as the number of tables are limited. The only thing they might need to improve is the freshness of the tabwater (served in bottles). The water tasted slightly stale.

Good food and a great view, especially from the top lounge. Order downstairs at the bar. We had crumbed snapper and chips which was very good for the money ($22) and a big feed. The whole cafe was watching a whale jumping out of the sea just off the beach. The coffee is good too.
Been here a few times. Food is always good. Service is a bit hit and miss. Ordered an ices coffee and a juice. Waited 20 mins until we asked if they were making them yet and they were just sitting on a tray in the kitchen.

Waited 1 hour 15min for 2 flat whites. Food was average. Never go back there! They don't seems to keep track of people seated if they have ordered or waiting for ages. Staff is a joke!

Service normal, no frills. Always difficult to rate food as everyones taste differs, I enjoyed mine. However, the selection and quality is good.
Fantastic veiw from point danger and you can dine upstairs for the best dining veiw in Coolangatta. Expect to pay a little more for the view, but worth it.
If you're from out of town, you should try.

Lovely location but extremely slow service. Waited 20 minutes for takeaway coffee and they stuffed up the order. Cold coffee and scalding hot hot chocolates. When I asked why it was taking so long rude staff member said there were 4 orders in front of mine. Restaurant was nearly empty and staff standing around chatting while we waited. Other people standing behind me also complained about the wait.
Wonderful spot with good coffee and excellent breakfasts. Service was decent considering how busy it is. A really good though, well worth the stop

One of my favourite cafes to visit for breakfast and lunch when on the goldy. Awesome food and coffee/drinks and the most gorgeous little boutique next door. Right at the top of a beautiful lookout as well.

Arrived at 10am on a Monday morning, was told we would only be seated at tables for two not three when we asked if we could be seated next to the window. Chose a two seater but then told to sit at a table behind the bar area. This place seats at least 40 and there were only 6 people there. When other customers arrived they were seated at tables for three and four when they were only two in number! Please explain blonde waitress with bad attitude! Have been coming here for years and recommending to friends and family. Will now do the opposite. Shameful service.
Since we know this place we keep going back there almost every weekend. Nice view and friendly staffs. We have two dogs seat outside is perfect for us .The doggie beach near by we can take our dogs to the beach after breakfast
I mean she s a bit pricey but the view, the service and the quality makes it well worth it. The wait never seems to be too much longer than the average. I especially on a weekend. I ve loved it every time I ve visited. The staff have always don t their best to get the customers a table when their there is a booking or not. Which is nice to see because most places just turn you down. A really great restaurant. The coffee is perfect and the menu is quite outstanding
