I like the updated rooms and, when I travel alone, I like the studio. All rooms have a kitchenette, which makes it easier to travel with the strict food regime necessary for wellness... I shop for groceries locally & cook for myself. Ah, home away from home!

Went there for a sleep lab study for my son. Nice clean rooms, but tv signal for the various channels kept dropping in and out, and ever-present freeway noises made it hard to sleep. Overall, pleasant experience!

The location was great with some street parking. Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and had everything needed. We didn't cook and used very little of the dishes in the kitchenette. The pool was pretty standard with a hot tub, but no clean towels. Complimentary breakfast had a wide selection of food and was better than most other hotels. Check out was a breeze online. I rated four stars because our room was at the very end of the hall, which could be because we had kids, but also due to no towels in the pool area.

I've stayed there a few times, but only as a patient of OHSU for a sleep study. So I don't know about a regular guest experience. But the front desk staff are always very friendly. They have a small market which has a decent vatiety of snacks and microwaveable foods. They're very overpriced compared to a regular store. The suites are nice, plenty of TV channels. The beds are comfortable and bathrooms are large. And the free continental breakfast is the best. A huge selection, and for kids you can use the waffle and pancake makers and there's a variety of toppings. They have meat free options for cooked breakfasts and the fruit selection changes regularly. It's a very convenient location for people who are in town receiving treatment at OHSU. The south waterfront building is a walkable distance, and the tram is located there for those who need to go up to the main hospital on the hill. There's not much to do in the general area, but the streetcar is just a block away.

As a frequent guest of the Marriott Residence in Portland, I found the employee's particularly at the front desk to be rude and indignant. I had a problem with a corporate reservation and the front desk clerk did nothing towards rectifying the situation. I ended up having to pack up my things and moving over to the Marriott downtown. I guess I will be staying there from here on out.

Honestly, the most disappointing hotel experience I've had, ever. Our room stunk from the moment we walked into it, only to discover that our garbage disposal had been broken and something was rotting from within. The tv was mounted crooked on the wall, and the staff was extremely rude and stand-offish. The ice machine in our refrigerator was turned off and there are no ice machines in the hotel. Also no towels available at the pool. But that was just the arrival and evening of our single night stay. The clincher was coming down for breakfast in the morning, which had been left to sit for more than an hour, and having my boyfriend get sick from bad meat. Absolutely terrible experience. Would never stay there again. Will never recommend.

I'm a Platinum Elite member, so I stay at Marriott hotels exclusively when I can. This hotel is conveniently located in the downtown waterfront area. I stay here because it's walking distance from the office I work at when in Portland. The rooms are large, clean, and well kept, and all include a stocked kitchen. The staff have managed to keep the homeless from encroaching on the outside area, even though it's so close to the park, which is impressive. The continental breakfast is well stocked and has a nice variety. The on-site restaurant is nice, too. On the downside, they only offer one speed of wifi, which drops often. I was in a non-smoking room but it smelled of cigarettes (strongly at first, but less so over the 12 days I stayed in it). It had a beautiful view of the river so I didn't complain, but it wasn't pleasant.

I love staying here when I am in Portland. The staff is friendly and its close to the river so I can take a run. The rooms are spacious and seem well appointed. Close to freeway access but a bit far to walk in and around the city from.

Very clean rooms. We booked a room for 4 people and there was enough room for us to sleep comfortably. The mattress had the perfect amount of softness. They offer free grocery delivery if you share your grocery list before 9am in the morning. The free breakfast was great. The concierge was very friendly. They pool is very clean. There are loads of eating places within walking distance. I throughly enjoyed my stay here.

Breakfast was amazing. The oatmeal was the best I have ever had. My kid loved the sausage and orange juice. There was just about every breakfast item you can imagine. We were there for a sleep study, the bed was nice and my kid enjoyed being a space alien for the night.

Perfect for a small get together with my daughter and her husband plus 2 little ones. Rooms were nice, but disappointed there was no oven in the room.
Also disappointed the pool was ice cold. It is an indoor pool, but very cold.
The breakfast was very good and they served Seattle Best coffee, which is a very good coffee.
The people working the dining area were very friendly and hustled to make sure area stayed cleaned and well stocked.

Friendly fast check-in. Great breakfast selection. Pool was great with a couple toys for the kids. Fitness room was okay with a few cardio machines free weights and a couple machines. The suite we had was a little small, newer furniture and kitchen.

The residence in in downtown Portland is a great place to stay very quiet the rooms were very spacious the breakfast was fine and it was easy to get around The only drawback is the expensive parking but there are parking garages at much lower prices around the hotel and if you like you can park across the street during the evening for no charge

We had a pleasant time staying here. The rooms are reasonably clean and well-furnished, and staff were polite and helpful. Location is great - a short walk along the riverfront to downtown, or via the Streetcar. Overnight parking is $35, if you can stomach it. Street parking is a better deal at $2/hr and free nights.

This Residence Inn was close to a streetcar stop, which was convenient for getting to the hotel from the airport and getting around town. It's a little bit further outside the downtown core, but still convenient. The hotel itself was clean and the staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. Overall, a really great place.

Nice hotel in the heart of Portland downtown. Has pool and hot tub on 2nd floor which is really relaxing after a long day. The complimentary breakfast is good with standard spread of food items, could have been better for vegetarians. The family suite is neat and comfortable with view into surroundings. The location is calm and quiet in spite of being in close proximity to downtown. Overall good experience staying there.

We stayed here for 30+ days. Great breakfast that changes every day, and even dinner on Mondays and Wednesdays. Don't expect anything gourmet but it is a nice perk. The WiFi is decent but I suspect they rate limit your connection; often my YouTube videos would buffer, and they would not if I was simply on a mobile connection. One of the biggest perks especially for those on an extended stay is that you may order groceries from the front desk; anything from Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Safeway, and they will simply add the amount of the order to your final bill with no upcharge. The staff quickly learned my name and were very friendly.

So disappointed. 925 no good. Stains and patches on ceiling above kitchen and entry area. Handicap accessible room means the living area is small as is the closet and the vanity. Vanity is in bedroom area. Toilet and shower in separate room. It is a wet room for a roll in shower. There is no surface in the wet room for you to put anything down that won't get wet unless you count the toilet...no shelf, no small table etc...

If that bed is a king bed it is the smallest king I've ever seen. I could touch from side to side. Seemed much more like a queen. Certainly significantly smaller than the king I have at home and the king I've had at other hotels.

And the whole reason we went with that room was for a taller toilet...they insist it is an ada height toilet but it was significantly shorter than what we consider ada...certainly not what we have at home.

Water pressure in shower was very poor.

Very nice rooms (allowing dogs!)with wonderful beds and nice little kitchens. Great views, and an absolutely terrific breakfast! (Also a fun bar downstairs that specializes in an amazing Margarita!) And everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub!

When we arrived Friday night we were quickly & kindly helped & given a room on the top floor. I had forgotten they were all suites so when we walked in we were happily surprised to find a huge, clean king size bed, kitchenette & large couch.

Everything was really nice and clean, the bed was sooooooo comfortable, it was hard to leave it each morning. The place had free wi-fi included as well as continental breakfast till 10am which was pretty good. Overnight parking was around $30, but you could have people park for free for a few hours as long as it wasn't overnight.

If I'm ever back in Portland I would totally stay here again.
