Ok, just a couple of things. Maybe you should erect a screen to hide your chefs smoking in the back where the bins are. Not a good look. Also if you are going to serve your cheeseburger rare, you need to get your staff to ask how they would like to patties cooked. Other that that the service was good.

Very well decorated and nice multi level pub in modern repurposed building. Not enough parking on weekends. Food a bit overpriced and not as good as you'd expect for this price. Overall nice place.

Place already smells of sick for some reason especially the lift up to the roof bar. The bathrooms are using detol handwash which foams and they have Dyson taps with built in dryer so when you dry your hands the foam in the basin just blows out of the sink into your face. Hilarious!

Very nice environment. I think the food is not as nice as the place. It is normal pub food. Food is a bit expensive for the quality. Rooftop is really nice area. Rooftop is hard to find but worth an effort.

Great for chilled out drinks or even formal events...

Great for chilled out drinks or even formal events to celebrate. generally full of local residents or workers in the area.

I attend on Tuesday nights for Trivia and Friday Night for drinks and Dinner

Pro's
Great Atmosphere and lovely staff, you feel welcomed straight away when you walk in. The Crowd that attends are generally easy going and you can chat with anyone. Never seen any hotheads or trouble makers there so you feel safe with good company.
The food is pretty good and they are happy to accommodate to your catering if you have an event. Same at the Bar, i have allergies and they always work very cautiously when making my drinks. They have a courtesy bus, if you call before hand they can organise to pick you up,

Con's
Parking is terrible, Traffic in the area is terrible. if you are heading there after 5pm, you will have difficulty with traffic. The parking lot is very small and nearly always full, there is a little parking lot to the side which is always full aswell. Best bet is to take the courtesy bus or park on Wicks Rd, MP. [Ticketed]
Food, although good, very pricey for the area and the size. to put it in perspective, they charge $3.00 for Garlic Aioli. you could be spending up to $100.00 for two meals and two cocktails.
They got rid of $6.00 Margarita and $3.00 Tacos on Friday nights which is tragic in it self.
The special elevator for less mobile persons [disabled] often is out of service which means if you are in a wheelchair you cannot access the rooftop. Smokers are shunned all the way into the corner on the rooftop which doesnt make sense as its outdoors and makes you feel like trash [intentionally?]

All up, its great hangout for after work drinks or some mediocre celebration, the issue i have is Cost / Parking / Accessibility otherwise it would be a nice place to go to for lunch & it may be different for families.

Great venue in an area lacking in decent bars. The food was nice enough and staff friendly and efficient. Only downside is the price of certain drinks, charging $20 for a single shot of a 10 year old whiskey and generally their cocktails are on the expensive side.

I ve been there on a Wednesday night, the rooftop ...

I ve been there on a Wednesday night, the rooftop is really nice and the Friends trivia was really well done, lot of fun. Although the prices on the menu are wrong or just confusing. Every Wednesday (the menu says exactly this) is lady s night with $9 cocktails ($18 normal price - pricey) but what the menu doesn t say it s that they have only 3 cocktails on special not all of them (nothing of this is explained on the menu or no one says anything to you at the bar when you order). When I asked about this as I bought two cocktails and they charged me full price, no one knew what to respond, one waitres said it s trivia night we don t have specials tonight , one bartender said that only they have 3 cocktails on special (one of them isn t even on the list of cocktails), the supervisor or whoever she is didn t even know which cocktails were on special (she had to ask to one of the bartenders even though she said she makes the specials) and then she said you always have to ask at the bar because it s confusing on the menu (if you know it s confusing why you didn t change it already?) and the last waiter I asked said it s ladys night only the ladies can purchase cocktails for $9 (his answer was so lame). It s a shame that such a lovely place has so many issues like this, the advertising seems to be done in this way to confuse people to pay full price, I checked on their website and on the Facebook event and the info was always the same $9 cocktails , not even a * saying ask at the bar or only 3 drinks on special or something, when I said this to the supervisor she started to be rude at me and she wasn t open to listen any suggestions (but they handed us a suggestions card after the trivia finished, what!?) The communication system they have is poor, no one knows what to answer or they just make something up to get rid of the problem. It s not about the $18 that I spent without getting two cocktails as the menu says, it s the bad attitude and the lack of customer service.

Dinner at the Governor was, all though some items were more expensive than one would expect for a Macquarie Park venue, delicious.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, assisting to help with table service if you had full hands!

The decor was fun but classy, and there was a variety of dining table options (booths, bar stools etc). Those of us at my table didn't like the chairs, but a minor complaint in an overall aesthetic venue.

Would go back, and am pleased to see there's regular trivia in the area where we can enjoy the Governor's service.

Don't like ordering a steak and that's all you get. So if you want green you pay extra
OMG the meat is not cheap. So.the staff are so helpful and friendly.
Not Alot of parking, do you might have to park a mile away if you can't get close.

Highly recommend this city-feel venue in Macquarie. Saturday nights you'll hear odd school 90s rnb on the rooftop. Their bottomless brunch during the day is quite impressive with a selection of hot breakfast items, cold meats, fruit and desserts. Plus a list of delicious cocktails to temp you. The Hills cocktail is recommended! Bartenders Declan and Abhi were so lovely and really helpful. Manager Dhwanil had great suggestions and made it a wonderful afternoon.

I thought the atmosphere was nice and that the food was quite good.

I went out for a meal with a large group of colleagues and ordered a medium rare Wagyu Rump steak, as did several of my colleagues. When my steak came, it was definitely more on the well done side of medium. Seeing as my colleagues all had very juicy and well cooked medium rare steaks, I, rather appologetically, sent mine back, commenting that it was not how I had ordered my steak. The waitress was kind and polite enough to take it back, returning with a new, rather delicious look steak. What bothered me, was that she told me that the chef had cut the previous steak in the middle and found that it was in fact cooked to a medium rare standard. She said that I was unable to tell that it was medium rare because I had cut it on the edges which cook faster.

I found this extremely condescending, as if she thought I had never eaten a steak before and didn't know what I was meant to expect? I actually cut the new steak as close to the edge as possible, to prove a point, and it was immediately clear that it was medium rare and a massive improvement to the previous one.

I also wonder what she expected to get out of this awkward comment, trying to embarrass me infront of my colleagues? I got my second steak, which was an absolute delight to eat, yet she managed to put this establishment and herself in a terrible spot light infront of 20 or so people. As you can imagine, her one condescending, inaccurate and unnecessary comment became the talking point and joke of our evening out. From this situation alone, I wouldn't recommend this pub to any friends of mine.

Meh! Obviously a lot of money spent doing up an old run-down office building. Whilst the decor and facilities were good... the food was average/bad at best.
The $20 plain cheese burger was undercooked (still mooing) and had way too much mayonnaise. The pizzas were also below par.
Give this place a definite miss food-wise!

We were here on the opening night of the venue, upon arrival it totally looks amazing they did a great job on the architecture.

The security was quite strict however I kinda understand what they meant by strict dress codes. So yeah no ripped jeans.

Anyhow the staff members are pretty friendly and quick to help out at any situation.

I especially like the bar staff as they provided quick and friendly service we never had to wait long for our drinks.

The decor is great as it's not too overwhelming. One complaint though the locks on the alcohol cabinets... I have seen them bump into people they walked by.

Now for the food:
Katrina the waitress was excellent as she took our orders in a timely manner. What we didn't like was the dining experience. There's no table service nor do they bring the food to the tables. But the food was good.. sure took awhile but it was good.

This venue is going to be home to many of the surrounding businesses "go to local". So you can expect busy Friday nights.

My friends and I had a lovely evening at both the restaurant and Ess on Saturday! We felt welcomed and very well looked after by every staff member. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, helpful and thoughtful and it made a big difference to our time there. I appreciate the complimentary birthday cocktail and card signed by the entire team, and a special shout out to Nicole for being incredibly lovely!!! We will definitely be back!

Had an amazing experience with the bottomless brunch. Was served by Alex who made the most delicious cocktails and made sure we were constantly well fed and watered. Fantastic service from Alex and so many laughs, who really made the experience better than any other bottomless brunch than I've been to. Highly recommended!!!

The fit out is stylish and beautifully done. There are multiple different spaces and areas where you are able to dine and socialise with friends and colleagues - including a great courtyard.
The food is tasty, although slightly on the higher side for what it is. The real disappointment in my experience is there is no table service for food or beverages, despite the abundance of staff waltzing around the place with nothing to do. Staff are more interested in taking your empties away than filling them up - for that, you'll have to hike to the bar and join the back of the line.
Other than that it's great.

In North Ryde this is well worth the visit, 20 boutique beers on tap and plenty of other options. Food is good, fresh and tasty. The menu is more on the "Diner" side of eating but the environment is really comfortable and spacious.

Best time at bottomless brunch. They go all out here and service is amazing. Josh and Anya really know how to put on a great day for you to enjoy. Service by Nicole was superb and Alex is a highly skilled mixologist.
Jessie took us home on the courtesy bus and happily played WAP on request.

The best bottomless brunch around!! The cocktails are high quality and the food is beyond spectacular. You should have seen our faces when the giant platter of desserts, fruit and brunch food came out!! A special shout out to the bartender (I believe his name was Alex?) for going above and beyond to make our event a special one. We will definitely be returning soon!!

Had a great time salsa dancing on the rooftop bar. Then the rain came and we kept on dancing. Fun atmosphere. They tell me salsa is every Saturday from 5 to 9. The food is good as well, we had a group and for$20 a couple we are heaps of pizza, finally the craft beer is great.

Amazing!! For a hotel only opened the previous week when we, a party of 16 arrived for our luncheon booking on Sunday found to our delight, happy friendly, SMILING staff who really made our dining experience 5 star. The menu was very well structured and it was apparent a lot of thought had been put into this to ensure a wide variety of not only tastes being catered for but also at very reasonable prices. The delicious meals were beautifully presented and all arrived at the same time and at the correct temperature for that particular dish. The selection of beers and wines is very extensive and the professional bar staff were more than happy to advise especially on the craft beer choices, which didn't disappoint. In conclusion this hotel has a wonderful ambiance and full marks to the manager and his team as it is certainly a credit to all - we will be back.
