I have nothing to say but good things about this clinic and it's staff. I understand things may happen triggering negative reviews, but that has never been my experience as I have always been treated with kindness and respect by both the MAs and PAs. I would highly recommend this clinic.

still see Dr. Schaup here and I think he's great. That said however I don't think I can continue patronizing this facility.

The admin staff and most of the MAs are so rude it's had to comprehend.

In the middle of checking in they'll take a PERSONAL phone call and put their hand out telling you to wait.

I can leave message after message for the schedulers and NEVER get a return call.

Bedside manner by the MA's is terrible. Bitter and unfriendly attitudes.

Unsurprisingly EVERYONE here turns their name badges around and don't introduce themselves so you have no idea if you're talking to a CNA, MA, RPN, RN or Doctor.

Nothing can truly convey how poor the customer service is here.

my doctor was great but the nurse is another story. She is rude and quite frankly mean. She rarely calls back when you leave the doctor a voicemail. Whenever you ask her a question she answers it condecendingly and it looks like she takes pleasure in that. The doctor was fine she tried to help but the nurse was horendous.

Horribly unfriendly staff, not nice or courteous. Terrible reception staff. It s not okay that I feel like I m a burden on these people every time I walk in the door. I give my money to these people and trust them with my health, but not anymore. Will not entrust my health in an office that can t even employ nice people. Not only that, but trying to get them to answer the phones or send records elsewhere is like pulling teeth, for some reason, the phones don t get answered and not only that but the records aren t faxed, not even a phone call as to why. Wish we could leave this office, and go somewhere better but we can t even get records sent elsewhere to be able to switch. Do not recommend.

Been seeing Dr Schaupp as my primary care physician for probably close to ten years. Great guy and outstanding physician. His MA's have always been respectful, polite and actually quite fun to engage in conversation. Hope to see Doc and his staff another 10 years!

Need to get in touch with your primary care doctor? Forget it...you'll die first. Dr Verma might as well be on the moon.

I have been a patient of Reno Family for 20 years, and have seen three of their providers...I just now made an appointment with a new doctor. My frustrations began well before Covid, and have gotten increasingly worse. Despite having a PCP there, I have been using Urgent Care as my doctor due to the multiple problems I ve had with this office, as well as the physician. Today I had no choice but to call and try to get in, but ended up having to make a new patient appointment with a new doctor with Renown, who actually got me in TODAY with ONE phone call. But a much smaller practice can t seem to do the same thing.

I do not understand why it is so difficult to make a simple appointment; they boast they ve added some new physicians, but apparently haven t hired new staff to accommodate that. I have tried to keep a positive attitude about playing phone tag, but today was just the straw that broke the camel s back. I called at 8:04am so that I could avoid leaving a message for the scheduler. Well already they weren t answering the phone. So I left a message but didn t get to it when she called back-my fault. I leave another message. She calls back at the EXACT minute I m getting out of an elevator, so by the time I got to my phone and answered, she was already gone. I immediately call back and tell the front desk the scheduler is most likely leaving me a voicemail-could she just patch me through. She says yes but connects me to the main line again. Of course, I am prompted to leave yet another message. I hang up and call back to ask if I can physically come down and make an appointment. She checks and says I can come down, and use their phone in the lobby to call the scheduler....who is in the same building. I can come down there to do exactly the same thing I was already doing. I can talk to the check-in, pay my copay, wait in the waiting room, talk to the medical assistant, and then the doctor-all in person while wearing a mask, but the scheduler is the ONE person who I cannot speak with? So, by that, logic if I had been seen and needed to make a follow-up appointment, would they make me walk passed the scheduler on my way out, only to turn around and call her from the lobby...the other side of the wall? I cannot wrap my head around the idiocy of this. None of which would even be a thought in my head, if they were staffed enough to complete tasks as simple as booking an appointment. This, coupled with the other debacles I ve had (ex: prescription refill fiascos and longer wait times for my appointment than usual), is why I ve finally gone somewhere else. Which is a shame, because I used to be a very happy patient there; in fact I referred my mom and two friends. Unfortunately they, too, have experienced the same issues. I don t know what changed, but I do not recommend this practice anymore.

Doctors are wonderful, but the MAs are lousy. Dr. Hosakote's MA does not return calls until a week or two later, no matter if you state that it's urgent or not. Dr. Horgan's MA gives attitude after not doing what she said she was going to do. She stated that she'd call me with the final lab results. Never heard from her, so I called...again. VERY rudely "I CALLED last week and left a message and even spoke to you!" Um, witch, that was with the preliminary results. She never called with the final results as promised, and she was rude as hell on the phone, VERY unprofessional.

For the MAs of Dr. Hosakote and Horgan, I'd give a one-star review, but I do like the doctors, so I bumped it up a star.

This place is a joke, whoever is in charge of sending records needs to be fired, it s been two weeks and my GI doctor STILL hasn t received my records yet, I have called Reno family physicians multiple times to ask if they can send records and they transfer me to my doctors extension and it s ALWAYS an answering machine, they have NO URGENCY to get their patients feeling well again...sad and lazy excuse for a doctors office

Am so glad we found Dr Suraj Verma, he has treated my whole family for years. He is extremely knowledgeable, and has an excellent bedside manner. He explains the reasons behind the treatment plan he has designed for you, which of course makes compliance and positive results very likely. This doctor listens to patient concerns and will take time to resolve any issues presented.

While the ambiance of the lobby is a bit old and rundown, don't let that turn you away. The staff and medical experts are wonderful and truly care. After seeing several arrogant GPs in the area, this is the only place where I have ever felt a non-judgemental approach to health. Their concern for your wellbeing is their priority. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else! Katrina Baren RN, APN is a rising star!

Avoid this practice at all costs! They will make you wait over an hour past your scheduled appointment. The MAs are also pretty terrible at returning phone calls. Just save yourself the headache and don't go here.

Tried to charge me $50 for an appointment they made after bloodwork without getting in contact with me first (left a voicemail that I didn't get until weeks later) and while I was there one of the employees got into an argument with a patient about a supposed parking collision, and the employee went into their records to dig up their name, phone number, and address.

Dr. Verma is an excellent physician. Unfortunately, his schedulers are terrible. They are never available. When I want an appointment for me & my spouse, I have to go personally to set it... They don't read their messages so even when I cancelled a few days ago, it still show up. Its too bad because they used to be such terrible staffs.

These doctors are the best! I have always been treated great and my appointments were within 10 minutes of the scheduled time.

I was having some horrible pain so I called the office and had to leave a message. I was not sure how soon someone would call me back so I decided to make an online appointment with Urgent Care. As I was making an appointment with Urgent Care, Dr. Simpson s office called me back and I was able to get in that same morning. Dr. Simpson and the staff were very kind and very sensitive to my needs.

I think Dr Hosakote is great and I have always gotten a return call from Felicia. The scheduling department does not return calls though but I just call back until I get someone. Not a big deal since I like my Doctor and her staff so much.

Avoid!! Dr. Schaupp is consistently 45+ minutes late. Do not go to this doctor if you value your time. I know I m changing PCPs.

Waited 3 weeks for an appointment only for them to cancel it the week before because the doctor wasn't going to be there. Rescheduled for 2 weeks later only for them to again cancel because the doctor again wasn't going to be there. The next available appointment isn't for 3 more weeks.

I am currently looking for new provider because I was booked out three weeks for something I need to be looked at sooner than three weeks. Because of the rude nurses over there and dcheduling, i have no choice but to go to urgent care. Doctors are great,but they seriously need to review and check out the staff

My daughter and I see Lisa Tate APN and her medical assistant Amanda. Dr. Tate is wonderful she really listens to our concerns and addresses them immediately. I think she has excellent bedside manner and is a very thorough Dr. and would highly recommend her. Amanda her medical assistant is very competent and answers any questions or concerns we have I really enjoy talking with her. I both these women are an asset to Reno Family Physicans and would highly recommend Lisa as a primary care doctor.

Horrible front desk girls, my daughter was a new Pt here, we drove 35 min to get here, when she was seen no prescription was called in or given to her , we went back to request if she can get her script, but we re told have to either come back in 30 min or wait 30 to 40 min to get it.what kind of service is this , the Patient waits to be seen and then wait to get the scripts, would not recommend this health care providers office to anyone.

Decades of not getting a call back with the first message

I called a month ago for an appointment only to get a call back today telling me I am a new patient because I haven't visited since 2016. I'm probably looking at October now for a new patient appointment that I tried to make in June. I only need a referral, nothing else. The rating reflects the level of care I am receiving here and in no way am I trying to be unfair.

I would echo what others have said. I agree that Dr. Schaup is really good and the only reason I go here.

The customer service and the mood of the support staff leaves much to be desired. Wouldn't take much to make people feel better about being there.

I have been a patient here for years Wonderful Doctors and staff specially Docor Simpson she is wonderful.

I have been with RFP for 6 years now and have had nothing but good experiences there. Friendly, helpful staff.

The referral clerk, Linda is horribly rude. She left me a message on my home answering machine noting "this is Reno Family Physicians" no name and actually said "you need to pick a new doctor or get a new insurance." I have been a patient since 2003 and have never been treated so disrespectful. When I called to complain, I asked to speak with the office manager, Terry who was no better. She hung up on me after agreeing that there was a problem with Linda. The med tech that works w/Dr. Verma is also not good. She is argumentative and abrupt and not good about returning phone calls. Dr. Verma is a nice enough man but he doesn't do much of an exam for anything. I would bet my chart shows full exams so he can do maximum billing. He seems stressed when a referral is needed, likely because of his staff.

Leslie Stockholm is a great Primary Care Physician. The nurse, Jennifer, gives me shots every 2 weeks. She is always friendly and very efficient. The front office staff has always treated me with great respect and they work to assist me when I need assistance on a problem. Been going there since 2013. Can't imagine looking for another medical office for me.
