I recently completed the 4 week SIT TESOL Course Intensive at the Rennert School in NYC. It was an incredible course. I learned so much about teaching and teaching English and about myself that I had never considered before. Our Trainer Chris was excellent. He was thoughtful and thought provoking. He was energetic, interesting and very accommodating to our different backgrounds and experiences. We were a small class of 4 students with very varied goals and ambitions; we were always supportive and encouraging of each other and laughed a lot! We had tough time saying goodbye. I would highly recommend the course - it is intense but so rewarding.

The Rennert NY TESOL Center was a great place for me to receive my TESOL certification. Not only is the staff incredibly knowledgeable about all the important aspects of teaching English abroad, they are also very personable and helpful. Having basically no teaching experience before enrolling, I was welcomed with open arms and guided down the road to success. Our instructor, Will ,and the center's director, Autumn, were always open and upbeat, and made balancing the workload very manageable. Within two days from graduating from Rennert, I had job interviews lined up with prospective employers. Without their help I never would have been able to have the confidence to teach English abroad and start a new journey. I eventually accepted a job in China and owe it all to them. I highly recommend their center for TESOL certification - but come ready to work!

They are disgusting, If you don't wanna to go somewhere with they, they enter in your Room and wake up you to go, i'have been here by 2 weeks and i went to Manhattan 6 times, i really hate this school.
The english is ridiculous and horrible.

I had an incredible experience at The Rennert School in conjunction with the International TEFL Academy. My instructor, Chris, was very knowledgable and seemed to make the 8 hour classes go quickly! The activities we did in class with our classmates really brought us together as a class. The course taught me not only how to teach, but it also taught me a lot about my strengths and weaknesses as a teacher. We were able to teach real students from NYC and learned how to give and receive feedback from our classmates. I would recommend this course to anyone who is comfortable handling a medium level of work in a short time frame. It doesn't only teach you how to teach ESL/EFL, but any topic. And after the course, Autumn has been super helpful both on my visits back to NY and via email. She loves to help her alumni and is just an overall amazing person for any kind of advice.This school and course are supportive, knowledgable, and a great resource as I continue my journey as a teacher in Mexico!

When I came to NewYork, a long time ago, I had a bad experience here. A black woman, who is from somewhere poor island, yelled at me in class and insulted me. She was totally unprofessional cuz she couldn't control her emotion and discouraged a student. I paid money to learn English, but she insulted my pronunciation instead of correcting it. If you don't want to teach, don't work there.. don't take money from students. I also have an experience of teaching in my country, but I've never done such a thing.

I really liked Rennert teens, because it helped me expand my horizons, in terms of my English, skills, attitudes and understanding. I improved my English, made new friends and explored an amazing city, New York.

Not as good as I thought,but still okay. Stuff crew was very nice and students were very kind,polite and intelligent. I can only say that I miss everyone from Rennert so much. But the occasion,why I added only 3 stars is the meal,which was too harmful and pernicious. As for me,It's impossible to eat donuts for breakfast,but Rennert stuff suggests me to eat it every morning, I became fat. That's very important part of my vacation. I need to have a choice,I wanna see more fresh fruits and vegetables,but not donuts and all stuff like that. I hope, Rennert is going to recover and change this mistakes to make your visitors add 5 stars.

It's an amazing program with some amazing people attached. Coming here allowed me to make some life long friends and the experience has been groundbreaking for me

I attended and completed the TESOL certificate course and the Teaching Business English certificate course. Instructors are excellent, and offer practical and usable instruction and feedback on best practices in teaching English. Support staff is responsive, helpful and friendly and the atmosphere of experiential learning is unique and taught in a way that participants are able to experience teaching techniques, reflect on them and then immediately use the new technique with real students. I found the immersive process to be fun, challenging and rewarding.

An immensely rewarding, life-altering month taking the SIT TESOL Intensive. The best designed training I've ever had and the most challenging in terms of intensity. You will work extraordinarily hard, receive constant, caring support from the trainers and graduate with priceless skills and techniques for the teaching of English. Beyond that the school offers job search help and follow-up workshops to further your growth.

I took SIT Tesol intensive course here and it was the best decision that I made for my professional and personal development. It is literally "intensive", so you should take it seriously. But, the trainers are awesome, so they are always there to support you. I can definitely recommend the course to anyone who is planning to take the course no matter how experienced s/he is.

Last week my progrem ended. I really liked Rennert than I thoght. My teacher was really professionel and experienced. Her teaching style was very effective. After I learnt a new topic, I could use it while I was speaking. I had a lots of friends who are from different nations. To be honest it is very expensive but it is worth.

Very qualified school, focused on students and on experiential learning, very effective and productive. Good is also the organization of additional services (residence, meals, optional additional afternoon activities).

Rennert in New York is for sure the best experience I had In my life. I trully improve my English and my accent with the class and the afternoon activities were so great ! The residence was also very comfortable and all of the staff was like amazing ! They were all so nice during the trip !

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who is looking to have a crash course in becoming a TEFL/ESL teacher. The course is an intensive one requiring the participants full dedication to it. I believe that this course if extremely effective, but that the participants have to be quite self-motivated and focused to make it through successfully - it is challenging. That being said, the trainers do a wonderful job at boosting participant motivation and keeping the participants focused while in the course. The intensive course is almost more than full-time for a month, which would also mean that individuals looking to become participants should not expect to also work a second job - they would have to be financially secure in some form or fashion to be able to dedicate the full month to this course, though it is well worth it in my humble opinion.

An absolutely wonderful place for ESL learners and instructors-in-training. Being just a few blocks away from the United Nations Headquarters and surrounded by different country missions and consulates just seems so perfectly appropriate. I was there for the intensive TESOL certificate program and the biggest positive for me was the absolute and relentless dedication displayed by the staff. They are constantly available for assistance even during their "off" hours and that is often taken for granted. You will not be disappointed with this institution.

I have not been to the school yet but the Receptionist was a wanker. He was snide, rude, and unprofessional over the phone. If this is how a potential student is treat on first encounter, I cannot imagine this being a quality institute for learning.

I loved my SIT Cerificate class at Rennert! The school was so helpful in helping us acheive our goals, and the curriculum was really planned well, setting us up for success! I would totally recommend this course for anybody that wants to teach English in the future!

Taking the SIT-TESOL course at Rennert was one of the greatest learning experiences I have ever had. All of the instructors were warm, encouraging and very knowledgable. The practice teaching hours worked into the course were extremely helpful in giving us future teachers a taste of what the real world will be like as well as giving us a huge boost of confidence. I would highly suggest the course to anyone looking to teach abroad!

I highly recommend getting a TEFL certificate here. The classes are fun, helpful and informative. Will was an amazing teacher and Autumn gave endless help to me during and after I finished with the school. I now am teaching in Spain and have been more than prepared by this school to teach!

In Rennert New York I learned several skills to become a complete teacher. I learned creative and effective ways to teach the target language in order to obtain fluency from my students. This course was an amazing experience in many ways. My trainer was always so supportive, the environment is really friendly. The course is really challenging but totally worth the effort. Dont feel intimidated by this, it is hard work but you will have the support from your trainer and your peers. Its amazing how at Rennert theyre always checking up on you and the tasks so it wont become too much. You will become confident, will have more job oportunities and learn about yourself and others. I recommend 100% to take this course.
The location is perfect, since its really close to the New York Public Library, at Berkeley College and its really close to Subway Stations, food places, parks, pharmacys, etc.
If youre thinking about investing and taking this course, you wont regret it..

I studied for my TESOL certificate from July to August of 2017. It was an amazing experience and I got to learn how to incorporate different teaching tactics and concepts. My peers were supportive, the trainers were compassionate and patient, and the students were most certainly enjoyable.

The Intensive TESOL Certification Course was hands-down the best choice I've made this year. The staff is incredibly talented and dedicated to your success as a TESOL. The class size is small and intimate, so you truly receive one-on-one time with your instructor. I would recommend this course to anyone who is interested!

The 4 week course was very intensive and you must be dedicated to doing nothing else during the course. The great thing is that we were teaching actual students from week one. We applied what we were learning right away and it was confidence boosting.
