Have stayed here a few times and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
It is right in the City Centre close to all the shops and Arndale Centre and around Christmas time the Christmas Markets.
The staff are always friendly and helpful and they do fantastic breakfast. You can sit an have a coffee on your own reading a book and feel totally comfortable.
The rooms are clean & sorry.

I did not stay at the hotel but Google is asking me to review it because according to my location data I was there for 30 minutes. I was actually stood outside looking after someone who had fallen off their bike and split their head open, and was waiting for the ambulance.

Excellent location. The hotel was really hot for some reason! We had the aircon on but still seemed to be boiling! The rooms have been refurbed and I have to say lovely. Eally spacious and comfortable. However there are some tired features (bathroom, Windows) etc. Staff very polite though.

Didn't stay, only ran a business meeting there. Hotel exterior is very grubby, and entrance is very missable, ie it does not show up well. Inside is much smarter. Staff very helpful. Provision for delegates adequate e.g. cheap biros!

Had a great stay here, very central to everything. Staff very helpful and friendly. Very comfortable and clean. Left new hair straighteners in room and the hotel forwarded them on to me in Ireland free of charge. We will definitely stay there again.

Old and tired! And that is the hotel not me!! Needs some renovation! Beds not too bad. TV poor and old and not many channels worked properly on the TV or were tuned in on the tv. Iron and ironing board also old and dingy. Bathroom old and in poor state of repair and worn out. The taps didnt even have any nickel plate left on them... worn down to brass!!. Rooms also very hot and curtains didn't close very well causing the light to wake you up very early in summer!! Not great at all!! This is like this in a few rooms as I have stayed a few times! Staff however are great!

A great location close to Victoria station, the main shopping areas. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Despite being in the centre the rooms were quiet bar some lift noise (and the hen night returning at 2 am). Rooms do need some attention with the bathrooms in particular being very tired.

Very dated.

Very dated.
Doesnt look anything like it does in the pictures. The bathroom was dirty looking - it wasnt dirt but it was stained. Very old tiles amd chips. Shower head was gross too.

Everything was dark and gloomy. Lift smelt like pee.

Parking was stupid prices for one night too.

The windows in the bedrooms on the top floor were reallu bad condensation. You couldnt see through it.

Staff werent very friendly either.
Never mind, i will know not to book again the next time I come to Manchester.

Good place to stay if you want to be close to city centre for shopping.
Lots of trendy cafes and coffee bars nearby, bus stop right outside the entrance so very convenient to get to nearby towns.
Downside is, they have their own underground parking but it's very expensive, 15 pounds per day for maximum 12 hours so do not bring your car here.
Reception area very small.

The hotel's location is fantastic with lots of restaurants and bars in the area. But, the space itself isnt really great - rooms were spacious, but a bit tacky and bathrooms were old and really needs a retouch. One expects more from Renaissance hotels.

A really lovely hotel.

A really lovely hotel.

The room was huge, beautifully set out and immaculate.

Just when I thought it couldn t get better my girlfriend added to the ambiance by vomiting in the sink.

The bar area was lovely, spacious and well staffed.

The staff throughout our stay were excellent.

Great hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Upgraded to a club room which was very spacious, great for 3 ladies trying to get ready for a night out. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom clean. Tea and coffee etc with nespresso machine. Robes and slippers. Breakfast in the morning was lovely. Great choice of cereals, pastries breads, cold meat, fresh fruit, bacon cooked well done and lots of choice for cooked breakfast. Location is perfect with the Arena , Victoria Station and print works etc all within 5 - 10 minute stroll..
