It was reasonably priced for the 4 of us. Bar was very expensive for a drink but the lady behind the bar was lovely. There's a few small shops across the rd so we bought wine for the room. Very close to everything we wanted to do or a short taxi ride away. Lovely room but the bathroom was a bit dated bit clean. Would use again though.

I had a phone call regarding an issue with the hotel manager Donnah, and I m frankly informing that she was the rudest person I ve spoken to this year (including not hearing what I m saying and cutting off the phone line early). Keeping in mind that my choice of words are the sweetest, that s what my friends say.

Wonderful hotel in a fantastic location, and a great experience all the way through. Parking was convenient, the staff were all brilliant, the room was very well appointed and a very good size, and the breakfast was to die for. Will be the first place I check if I return to Manchester.

Very good hotel in general, the rooms come clean and stocked with basic amenities. The view could have been better but that's what I paid for. The food served was delicious, a standard buffet style dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall a very good hotel to stay in and well worth the money.

Central hotel, in Manchester's main shopping area. A little ugly on the outside, but pleasant enough within. My room was on the 10th floor with great views over the city. Room was spacious and comfortable with all the usual equipment you would expect. All staff were very polite and hard working, resulting in a very pleasant stay.

There s nothing wrong with this place, but the garish pink mood lighting in the bar is even more garish trying to eat breakfast the next day (the early morning music is also a mixture of 80 s and 90 s dance music). My room was spacious but look closely and the bathroom is looking dated.

I've been here for two Open University exams. Not my favourite OU exam venue. On both occasions, waiting involved standing on the ramp at the side of the building with crowds of people in the cold. Attending an exam is always stressful and the organisation at this venue felt disorganised which added to the sense of stress.

Looks old on the outside but inside definitely makes up for it! Friendly staff! Great size rooms with really comfy beds! Plenty of water pressure in the shower and the water is red hot!!! Very clean throughout the whole room! Air con works well with a heating and cool setting too!

Sadly I didn't sample the breakfast but it looked good!!

Went here for an evening function. The Medici ballroom is gorgeous and the facilities are beautiful and clean. Definitely a good place for any kind of evening event. The staff are professional and the food was delicious considering similar types of catering at other hotels.

Close to the city centre, so fairly convenient for business stopovers. Rooms are ok, if a little dated. Decor in the hotel generally could do with a refresh. Breakfast bar is ok, but does get quite busy at times. Overall, ok - there are far worse hotels in Manchester for similar prices.

We had an event here so I have not stayed in the rooms. I arrived early morning to see some colleagues from London having breakfast and joined them. Was offered free coffee for joining them which was nice. The event had some issues because some material we had dropped off the day before had been lost. No one really took charge of the issue from the hotel s side. The lunch at the event was great and the afternoon snack as well.

Warning: Avoid at all costs, worst Christmas dinner ever. 4 slices of beetroot on puff pastry with no cheese... what even is this? We complained to the staff but "they couldn't get any more food without going down to the restaurant" ... I mean, isn't that what you are supposed to do??

We just stayed with a group of 75 and worked with Laura Benefer in the group sales department. Laura went out of her way on a number of occasions to make sure everything was as we wanted it. Overall an exceptional experience in a classy hotel. As always its the people who make the place and the staff were always aware of our individual needs in all departments.
