I've only been to 2 chiropractor but this is by far the BEST experience. The front staff were very helpful and friendly. The doctors are amazing! They explain the details of the exam, took xrays of my problem area and adjusted my upper back and neck. I would definitely reccomend Renaissance Chiropractic.
Dr. Mike is absolutely the best chiropractor I've ever been to & I have been to a lot! I had the worst low back pain and even acupuncture did not ease the pain, who knew your pelvic bone could be adjusted along with my rib cage, incredible results followed & I continue to enjoy the life changing results 6 years later! We have been clients of Dr. Mike Long for well over a decade. When Dr. Mike is not available we see Dr. Nehmi. Both are excellent. They take their time not just with the adjustment, also to ask further questions and give helpful information. I have been seeing Dr. Mike for just over a year. At the beginning of my 3rd trimester, I started to have lower back pain. My insurance didn't cover massages so my doctor had me try chiropractic adjustments. It was so helpful with what turned out to be sciatic pain and delivery went much smoother.

So, I have been a skeptic my whole life. My views about chiropratic were extremely negative and I was convinced the whole industry was one giant fraud and money making scheme contrived by a bunch of quacks who had managed to dupe millions of people. Dr. Doug at Renaissance, converted me. Now, it took him two years, because I only went to quiet my husband and be a dutiful wife. I had several issues with my neck and lower back but I was never quite sure it was the chiropractic that I was improving from or that the issues just resolved themselves. This past month in fact was when I truly became a believer and threw away the last vestiges of doubt. I went in with severe hip pain that radiated down the side of my leg to my ankle, the pain was so intense it caused my knee to feel like it was giving out on me and I had to do the straight leg hobble. No stairs, no lengthy walking and constant intense pain. After one visit, I had relief, by the second visit the pain and immobility was reduced by more then 70%, by the third visit barely noticeable pain and my knee felt normal and I was back to normal daily activites. The staff here is amazing as well, always friendly, supportive and go the extra mile to get you in when you call with an emergency needing to be seen! If your on the fence, if your in doubt, give them a try.....it will change your whole perspective when your spine is aligned and pain free!!

I have tried chiropractic care sporadically through out the years but never saw much need to continue maintenance with anyone before. I started seeing DrMike at renaissance when I was pregnant with my son. I had awful problems with my hips and like most people thought eh it s part of life and being pregnant and getting older. Seeing dr mike changed my pregnancy! Not to be too dramatic but renaissance and dr mike changed my life. I no longer think I have to walk around feeling slightly older and stiff or sore or sick or just off. My son is two and has seen Dr mike since he was just a few days old. The staff is friendly and warm they feel like family. The drs are knowledgeable and I know I can trust them with everything. I HIGHLY recommend renaissance and Dr mike to everyone! I first came here several years ago on recommendation from a family member to help in my recovery from a ski accident that injured my pelvis and low back. Tacoma is out of the way for my usual life, but it has always been worth the trek to see Dr. Doug (or any of the other doctors when the need arises), and Kevin, one of the massage therapists. Their exams are comprehensive and include a detailed review of the results and overview of the treatment plan. Their team is incredibly friendly, very patient with scheduling, and I can almost always get a same or next day appointment when I need it. Over the years, I have had tremendous relief from various back/neck/shoulder injuries and strains. A few months ago when I mentioned that I had frequent vertigo, headaches, and nausea, Dr. Doug was quick to see what he could do to help and explained how certain parts of the spine and cranial plates can play a role in that - my symptoms were relieved more than I ever expected! I would recommend Renaissance Chiropractic to anyone.
