Songket is quite hidden from main busy road, located in the city, serounded by sky scrappers. This restaurant operated at the old made over bungalow lot with her own compound. Provide quite ample of car park. Would be surprised with the pretty dim lighting ambience. Quite number of seatings and tables with outdoor tables and seatings under the shade as well. There few huts for dining as well. Can organize small events too. Songket specialty is delicious, tasty Malay authentic cuisine with quite variety of dishes. No doubt it won several awards and rated stars. You can buy handcrafted bags by Penan ethnic here too.

Great place for a business lunch. Good for teams and events too.

I ate satin.
It was delicious but the price is comparable to that of Japan and for tourists.
If you taste the authentic atmosphere, you can also recommend a Murray dinner while watching the dance at night.

It is a slightly higher setting for locals.

This place basically caters to tourists... For locals, I wouldn't quite recommend it. The food is either too salty or not spicy enough. I have only 3issues with the food..

1) Sambal belacan Paku - totally not spicy enough. You would think by the way its fried it should be, but its not.
2) Sambal belacan (condiments) - when the food you ordered is not spicy enough, most people would think " I'll ask for some belacan to spice things up." Big shocker! Its actually very sweet and watery (which usually happens to save cost).
3) beef rendang - the taste and flavour is actually good but not tender enough.

My 3stars are given to Atmosphere, Service & Price.

Authentically deliciously great Malaysian food! We were welcomed warmly by the owner. There was also a fun live Malaysian dance show in which you can participate or take pictures with. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Delicious food; most orders are for sharing unless it's the only thing you'll eat.

Service is clear and friendly, although can be slow, maybe because of off peak hours (Sunday night), and most of the entrees are prepared fresh.

Still would recommend to try for the food, but don't expect your food to come out very quickly! Overall still great.

1 2 All food 3 were menus with chef recommendations
1. Platter-Not delicious on its own, it does not go well with the sauce, the tempura is not crispy, and some are too sweet....
2. Situation-The seasoning applied to the meat was a lot sweeter, but it was sweeter when eaten with the visible sauce (nutella base and nuts crushed), and there was no taste harmony.
3. Shrimp dish-Coconut flavor was really good. But that's all. The fishy flavor of the shrimp is filled in the sauce, so the rice recommended by the staff remains as it is...
4. Rich daiquiri-I couldn't find a balance of taste, and the bitter taste that seemed like freshly taken out of canned fruit and the quaint taste of water-burnt rum was impressive.
5. Mojito-The mint scent was very good. But I couldn't find anything like a balance of taste.

However, we are disappointed with the prawn in our meal. A fresh prawn is a must.

Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious Malaysian food!

When I was in Kuala Lumpur, we went to dinner with coworkers at the Songket restaurant. It has a spectacular terrace and the dishes are very elaborate and rich.

1. Parking space provided
2. Spacious restaurant, indoor and outdoor section
3. Variety of Malay food
4. Unique design and cozy place
5. Price a bit pricey, but worth to try
6. Fast service and friendly staff
7. Food taste ok but still have a room for improvement
8. Overall, statisfied with the restaurant and service

Place is good. They have Malaysian Cultural show containing various activities like singing, using blow pipe to blow the balloons, bamboo play etc. The team also encourages audiences to participate in their shows... very enjoyable. The Buffett dinner was very good too. Overall, a nice place to spend some quality time.

Food is good. Quiet place, nice for private functions. Mosquitoes are a nuisance though

Fantastic food and great prices! Loved the ambiance as well. They even had a dance showing the various traditional dances of Malaysia as well.Definitely recommended!

I visited with my husband and wife in October 2018. The correspondence of the staff was good. He explained how to cook and eat in one-shot Japanese.

I could only say good things about this place, great food esp the beef rendang recipe, the ambiance is perfect for a private Al Fresco authentic Malay dinner. Place is just mid size, not too crowded. We also liked the native huts outside and of course couldnt resist taking shots. By evening there's an hour of music and Cultural dancing to entertain the guests which makes this place really stand out. We had a few beers to cap the night, and the owner was very courteous table hopping and asking if everything is alright. He really makes it to a point to talk the guest, getting feedback about foods and so on which I think is a good indication he takes everything on a personal level. I enjoyed the time here, really good food, good conversations all laden between a shimmering Songket! Thank you Malaysia!

The taste was really good All the menu was good ~~ But except for the female staff, the kindness of the male staff wasn't very good.

Good Environment Great Tradional Atmosphere. To try local food at night this is a cultural must

It does not benefit the Arabs and eating it is very expensive

Very pleasant enviroment but the food needs improvement even the desert too thick coconut juice with sago does not have a pleasant taste.overall.
As for the cultural dance needs an introduction of what dance of the state from Malaysia and their culture.If can.
