We just spent three nights at La Butte last weekend, as we celebrated our wedding at their Domaine on Friday. It is hard to express all of our feelings about the whole weekend, but we ll try: super friendly, personal and proactive preparation-discussions with the sales-team / all celebration areas (used 5 different rooms) were beautifully decorated with a personal touch / drinks, small bites, dinner and dessert buffet were simply delicious and gorgeously presented / overall service during the weekend was more than we could wish for, everyone was super friendly and we felt like home with our family! This was a weekend we will never forget and we want to thank the whole La Butte team for this definitively best day in our lives!! La Butte Aux Bois is beautifully situated on the edge of the forest. I was happy with the completely renewed parking with charging points for electric cars. The beautiful building is romantically situated on a beautiful pond and surrounded by a beautiful park. Wedding parties are regularly held here.
Everything is immersed in a luxurious and chic atmosphere. The staff is professional, correct and very helpful. You are also welcome in the attractive bar or terrace for a delicious, inexpensive coffee.
If you like walks then you just have to walk out the door and you are in nature For horse lovers there is a beautiful modern riding stable nearby. By car you can be in Maastricht in about 10 minutes, really nice to the Vrijthof ......

The food in the restaurant caresses the tongue but the quantities on your plate are very minimal. You have to eat enough sandwiches to not go away hungry. Very sorry. Extra bowl of mash or croquettes costs nothing and gives a better feeling about the food. . The food on the plates very true paintings.

A reception overwhelmed by two customers for two receptionists, we can do better.
We had to repeatedly request a room corresponding to our reservation, and we were very, very poorly received.
Reception at the SPA deplorable, not to say pathetic for the standing.
We were able to observe throughout our stay that the staff as well as the visitors, circulated in city shoes without protection yet available at the entrance. Thank you for the hygiene of the SPA: /.
Children under 16 are not accepted at the SPA (HAMMAM, SAUNA), for the pool I think it's 12 years old. The staff of the establishment does not enforce the rules of access to the SPA, the place quickly becomes very noisy, not to mention the swimming pool. No rest and relaxation is possible.
The jacuzzi jets do not all work, too bad.
The changing rooms are dirty during peak periods. An example of a towel full of blood among the women lying on the bench, the indelicacy of the customers plays a big role.
The facials and massages are fine, nothing more. Still no bathrobe available in large size.
The housekeeping is impeccable, and the housekeeping staff are very pleasant and helpful.
The breakfast service is very good, and the buffet generous.
The delta between our first visit and the second is enormous. We put 1, because the disappointment is there, and the standing must not allow these differences. The lack of friendliness of the hotel and spa receptionists is just unacceptable.
Part of the clientele does not correspond to the setting either, there is a lack of good manners.

The keeping of the room throughout the stay is impeccable. A very comprehensive service.
The hotel offers a pleasant spa with a variety of equipment. (Large swimming pool, jacuzzi, large sauna and large hammam, ice showers etc ...)
We regret the lack of space on the terrace for sunny days, because currently is not sized for the hotel (very quickly saturated)
We also regret the frequentation of part of the clientele (do not know how to behave and ignore the rules of life in society).
For treatments, massages are invigorating and effective provided by beauticians with impeccable service.
The establishment has an affordable starred restaurant and a bistro that doesn't have to be ashamed next door, when it comes to taste. The bistro service is friendly but messy: a lot of forgetting.
There are cycling and hiking trails. Near the hotel there is a stable with the possibility of horse riding.
This hotel is to be frequented as often as possible and we will return with pleasure.
This location earns "plus points" in all areas. Both accessibility, service and tasty food and drinks

What a fantastic place this is! Everything is right at this hotel - rightfully 5 stars. All the staff are very professional, friendly, relaxed and do their job perfectly. The room we had was fine with very good beds and fine, luxurious bathroom.
The restaurant La Source now had 1 star more and was really excellent - even if you compare it with other 2-star restaurants. The restaurant de Bistrot was fine.
The breakfast buffet was a bit tighter due to the Corona measures, but the quality was fine again - also because you could order something extra such as scrambled eggs, egg Benedict etc.
Another proof that this is an excellent hotel.

A beautifully situated hotel with a beautiful garden and terrace with all modern conveniences, a very spacious room and very friendly and helpful staff. In the morning a really excellent breakfast buffet of a quality that you don't often experience (both at home and abroad). Near Hasselt and Maastricht and within walking distance of the Hoge Kempen National Park. I highly recommend!

David has been super friendly and willing, does not often happen that so much effort is done for the customers. Maybe a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Come back again.

The table is covered, glasses are empty .... but no question if there should be anything from liquor ...

Located about 20-30 minutes from Roermond and Maasmechelen, this is the perfect place to rest after a day of shopping! The staff can not do enough and it is a very nice place! The chefs at the restaurant were very professional and made us a delicious vegetarian pasta dish especially for us as there was nothing on the menu. The spa is not huge but there is everything you need to relax and a gym. There is also a large car park monitored by camera.
