For years I had not come; everything is always on top !!! A year after the departure of creator father, who accompanied the team did not give up, congratulations.

Extremely friendly staff, presentation was unique, the food was definitely star worthy

Well known in Perigord and by the various French presidents who came there.

Last night, we had the pleasure of tasting the tapas menu, 100 euro, aperitif, water, wine, coffee or herbal tea included. Perfect food, a very fair welcome, neither too stilted nor too casual, a warm setting. Only happiness. A big thank you to the chef and all his team.

We did not know this region and decided to make a stopover in this castle relay following the very good reviews that we had read.

And we were not disappointed.



The bedroom is as romantic as possible, the bathroom spacious and the cozy lounge.

(Only downside, the bedding that seemed to us may be a little too firm; But it's all a matter of taste) for the rest, no complaints!

The setting is magnificent, the staff warm and smiling but above all attentive!

Indeed, we had decided to have dinner at the restaurant. Now I admit that my wife is relatively difficult, but everything has been done so that everyone can have a good time. The chef was able to adapt to the various constraints that we had previously specified, while retaining flavors and taste discoveries!

In summary we loved this first stay at this establishment and that is why we will return this summer!

So if you are looking for a peaceful and romantic setting, where hospitality is paramount, then come and stay at this establishment. You will not be disappointed !

Refined restaurant in a magnificent setting with efficient service. What more ?

This restaurant has what they call a tapas menu, nothing like any tapas you will have stated. In fact it is a menu created with lots of small and delicious dishes and the food changes constantly. They check with you on booking if you have allergies etc and then adapt the menu to your needs. I have been several times and would always go there to take someone out for a special event or to treat a food lover. A beautiful garden terrace in the summer and a cosy restaurant on bad weather days. This comes in my top three of places I would chose to eat at. The hotel is also wonderful and their dinner delicious, The service is first class, friendly and very efficient. This restaurant surprises me every time I go there by the quality and creativity of food served. Prices are not low but not high either and the value for money is excellent.

I was at this beautiful hotel in 1985, returning now (May 2017), accompanied by my wife. It continues with the same class, elegant, high level administrative staff, very comfortable suites with sophisticated furniture. Odd restaurant in quality, great meals. Located in wonderful region of France. So much peace and quiet around. You can not miss it. Congratulations to Le Vieux Logis, owner and everyone who works there !!!

The service is excellent, the food is delicious and the setting is splendid. Only downside, the rates are at the height of the service ...

We had a great seven course vegan menu in the restaurant

We went to the gourmet restaurant
Working in the restaurant business, the restaurant does not deserve 1 star.
At the start of the meal the butler quickly understood that I was catering
We took the good menu at 130 without food and wine pairing, whereas on the site it is indicated with the food and wine pairing
When choosing the bottle the sommelier says once they are gone Come on, it's done a bit average I think for the place
Then there had to be an apprentice, he serves us the plates by putting his arm in front of us again he learns, it does not matter but put him in the hotel and tell us in front of the table '' Well, this is beautiful. '
In my opinion he could have waited to tell him personally
Then I had a rubbery piece of veal I point out to the waiter no excuse, no offer in return ....
Moreover this is surely due to the mask but we could hear all the comments of the service from the waiters, like: "cheese for the oldest, ...."
I find it a pity
And finally to finish during the payment, the sommelier collects us at the limit of the unpleasant not even a mark of politeness simply: here is the ticket!

I will therefore not recommend this place apart from the setting which is very beautiful!

Last Thursday, August 13, we had dinner with a group in the restaurant with Michelin star. The restaurant is very attractive and nicely decorated. We had a delicious meal and service was very attentive. For example, they immediately understood that no meat does mean fish (and therefore not vegetarian). That was nice. Tasty regional wines are also served for reasonable prices.

The first course (beans, chorizo and fried monkfish ball) was the least popular, or even a bit disappointing. Fortunately, the rest more than made up for it.

Highly recommended.

The best in the region for its menus and hospitality. Sublime dishes in his sommelier tapas menu very familiar with his wines. To advice.

Fairytale atmosphere, calm, luxury, good taste. Great hotel restaurant. Staff competent, helpful and engaging. All perfect.

Thank you for these 2 days of relaxation and haute cuisine. A charming establishment, a personalized welcome, high quality services, fine cuisine not to be missed, the place is definitely worth a visit, a superb village and close to many visits in this wonderful Perigord.

Very nice quiet setting with a very cute village accessible on foot from the castle relay. The meal was excellent.

Coming in the off-season, the hotel seemed a bit sleepy and purring.
The room, small but comfortable. A feeling of cold dominated the whole. The pleasant staff otherwise.
But the price, adapted for the occasion, makes the whole positive.

Excellent meal and sumptuous discovery menu. Very professional staff all our congratulations.
