We made a stopover at the Gold Coast on October 28, 2019 while we were going to another "Relais Chateau" for a stay that was offered to us.
It was a mistake for us to stop at Saulieu.
The welcome at Madame Loiseau's is such that it is difficult to leave! When we arrived at our destination, a top-of-the-range establishment, it seemed to us so tasteless in comparison to the "gold coast".
We are bikers and often we are not welcome in high-end establishments where we are looked down upon.
; probably the effect of black leather outfits ...
In Saulieu, no discrimination: we were wonderfully welcomed when we were wet by the thick November fog which is formidable in this region.
The hunter responsible for parking customers' cars in the garage was quite embarrassed in front of our big sports motorbike parked in front of the establishment; it was beyond his skills and goodwill ... he finally walked us to the garage so we could get our bike dry and safe! He also took care of the motorcycle specific luggage which is extremely heavy and without wheels ....

This anecdote to say that the "Gold Coast" that we knew at the time of Mr Bernard Loiseau has never changed!
Madame Loiseau has succeeded in preserving the excellence of French Gastronomy in a warm, almost family-friendly welcome!
This wonderful welcome that makes you immediately feel at home at the Gold Coast is unique among starred restaurants that offer five-star hotels!
When we left, while we were sneaking up to face the driving rain on a motorcycle, Madame Loiseau came to greet us and thank us for our visit without failing to chat with us for a few minutes despite being clients. "anonymous": A few days ago, she received President Macron and his wife or even a few weeks earlier Mr Depardieu ...

Excellent restaurant that after losing its 3rd star and the death of Bernard Loiseau, has found and offers quality food in an original setting.
Attention, the price is in relation with the quality, but if you have the means, make fun.

We had a pleasant stay there: the setting is very relaxing despite being in the city center of Saulieu. The swimming pool, the spa, everything is there to rest. On the other hand, the service and the practices are a bit old-fashioned: no drink service at the swimming pool despite the heat, and difficulty in having a drink in the beautiful garden outside of meal times.

Second stay at Relai Bernard Loiseau for a lunch this time. We have found the same welcome, a quality of service identical to a dinner with the spirit "hostel" more pronounced that makes you feel good! Aperitif and coffee served on the terrace at our request very pleasant. The national menu 6 history is a pure joy of taste, olfactory and visual discoveries! ah! apricot roast !!

Discovery of the SPA which is very playful and allows a moment of relaxation.
Flat for breakfast served on the terrace with an outside temperature of 16 and wind.Je did not benefit, the coffee was not hot in the cup.For already tasted scrambled eggs during a breakfast 2 years ago in your beautiful room, these were disappointing in their texture and appearance. Could not it be scrambled eggs?
We will come back with pleasure to your establishment.

Perfect place for calm and relaxation the staff is very caring and the restaurant's kitchen is just incredible and the wines were delicious to make absolutely only flat breakfast with formulas that we did not like

We stayed on January 06, 2020, welcoming the professional and warm valet, the magnificent room, the absolute relaxation spa, the little touches brought to our room in the evening.
However the reception of the receptionists on Tuesday morning to review, lack of interest following a concern of early wake up caused by a deafening noise on the upper floor, the reception of an employee for the squeaky breakfast, damage a it costs nothing to smile and it brings a lot of pleasure.
For an establishment like this, customer satisfaction should be excellent.

Perfect agreement, no false notes. Stylish staff. But to accept dogs in such a place is a lack of obvious hygiene.

The staff is very welcoming.

The massage was excellent, I had a 50 minute back massage.

The spa is luxury with a lot of things to test (the awesome iodine hut especially stay well 20 minutes).
A max of jet and whirlpool, the + swimming against the current.
The 85 degree hamam you revisit After.

Out of the spa I had a small snack in the restaurant, little queen claude with nuts on the top served with a blackcurrant nectar (the top).

In conclusion: I will return with my eyes closed.

Could do better, the portions are small, but the pastry chef is exceptional, the dessert a delight.

A magical place that combines haute cuisine and relaxation. We were with our 2 children who also loved it.

Nice room on the ground floor. The staff is the little care and the meal much appreciated by my companion. I took a package on the site of the hotel at a reasonable price given the quality of service and the aura of places.

A perfect welcome, a majestic suite, an exceptional spa. Small flat on the restaurant the bird of the senses which did not charm us where the withdrawal of a star point we will come back for sure but try the gourmet restaurant

The experience at Bernard Loiseau was impeccable. Each dish was masterfully prepared and the staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. The new sommelier have us a private tour of the wine cellars and the head chef gave us a private tour of the kitchen. It was truly an exquisite experience, which was specially arranged by our lovely cookery host, Katherine Frelon!

Staff at the top !! Just small flat on the breakfast not much at the buffet and request scrambled eggs to the server no problem but problem with the bacon not cooked !! Presented as a pity ham! Bacon in general is well grilled !!
No pancake, no pancake! A bit light!
Only false note of our stay !!

Very welcome, excellent food, faithful to my childhood memories. To pass to Saulieu without stopping there would be a pity for the Gourmets.

2 star restaurant. The food was good and well presented but not very filling. My husband found that the choice of wine by the glass was not at the rendezvous for a 2 star

Hello, we say our feelings about our stay in Saulieu. Welcome and very nice contact. Suite 45, very good. The whole environment is upmarket.It must be recognized that the place is designed for a certain purchasing power! As for the national menu 6, 3 courses are served, good taste quality. But it is presented with a lot of tralala. The wine was not at the right temperature !!! It is a place that deserves to be discovered. On the whole it is a sacred achievement, congratulations Mr. Loisau.

Magnificent garden and perfect lunch, wide choice of wine. I will remember roasted hazelnuts all my life.

Nothing to say corresponds to my expectation great cuisine.
