My mother was here a couple of months ago. We brought her here after she had gone to another facility, the other facility could have cared less about her recovery. My mother had been in the hospital for an illness and needed rehabilitation. After really looking at reviews online and going to regent, I really felt that this would be a better fit for her. She received her meds when she needed them and rehab was great. After some weeks she was finally getting back to how she was before the illness. I did give only 4 stars because of the food, it was not what my mother was used to, I had to bring in food to her. But overall my mother was very pleased with regent. I would recommend them.

My dad is currently here and I can tell you that I am very VERY impressed with the care he is receiving. Everyone and I mean everyone is so very compassionate and friendly. This has been a very hard time for our family and they have made it so much easier for us knowing our dad is very well taken care of in his final days.

This may be kind of hard for someone to read, but I telling the truth and coming straight from my heart. Did race play a part in their decision? You decide. I didn't think this could be possible but it happened. We (myself, sister and niece(s) toured the Regent Care Center Woodlands on yesterday. Very clean and nice facility. My parent needed short term care possibly 7-10 days. I felt she was denied care because of the color of her skin. On yesterday out of the 8-10 empty rooms I had the pleasure of speaking with the two nurses sitting at the desk while the rest of my family toured the facility. You kinda want talk to the people working and living there to not just get the fluff guided tour. I express my concerns caring for my mother and her needs with the staff. I was told that that could handle her specific needs there. Sometime today after sending her medical needs information there my mother was denied care at this facility. To make sure we were all on the same page, we discussed at length her specific needs with the administrator on call the previous day and was assured no problem. So, I didn't understand the sudden change at heart. I called the facility administrator Bryan Martin after looking again at their website and again it said Specialized Wound Care.
After speaking with Bryan Martin in dept explaining what care my mother needed, he assured this was something they could handle. Mr. Martin suggested that I come and tour their facility. By now, I explained that we have already toured your facility and found it very nice, after letting him know this I asked why was mom was denied care at this facility? He began to raise his voice stating that they have the right to decide who gets care there......Need I say anymore. You just told me on the phone that you could handle her needs and now your telling me that you decide. However, after having this conversation with him, we realized if this person who runs the facility and felt the way his tone of voice as going (up, up) and temperament(arrogant) was leading this was not the place for my mother. I Love My Mother

The care that my mother in law receive was excellent. The staff from the Director to the Aides were willing to assistance with the patient's needs. Very comforting to know she was in great hands with her treatments. If she needs this type of care in the future, this is the place we would return.

My mother was there for respite care last weekend. She was not moved regularly, she looks like she lost more weight. They didn t even know after her being there for 4 days whether she could feed herself or needed to be fed. She came home with a huge pressure sore on her heel and a bruise on her behind. I don t feel she was taken care of and will not go back to Regent Care of The Woodlands.

This place is pathetic. Please do not bring your loved ones to this place. It s old and in disrepair, it smells of feces most of the time, the residents are ignored, and worse, and they have food that is not only bad, it is unrecognizable. My elderly mom was here for six months after a fall, breaking her leg. She was slapped, cussed at, talked hateful to, had poop wiped on her face by an aide changing her diaper, and left alone, unchecked, for hours and hours. She had items stolen from her room. I would bring my mom a nice box of candy in the evening, and by the next morning it would have disappeared. We have so many horrific stories of this place, it would take me all day to write them all here. Residents are in their rooms, screaming for help. Ignored. We had to take my mom food to eat because the food there is inedible. My mom was left alone so long one day, she decided to get in bed from her wheelchair by herself. She fell. Luckily, she didn t break anything, but she said that she laid on the floor for nearly an hour before anyone found her. You can complain to the Director, but he doesn t do anything about it. And then you have to worry about them mistreating them worse because you complained. At well over $5000 per month, she should at least be treated like she is a human being.

Our experience at Regent Care Center was awesome. My mother was in the hospital and needed three weeks of rehab to gain her strength from her illness. After getting a list from the hospital and reading reviews, none of the facilities were desirable and did not meet our criteria. After a drop-in visit at Regent Care Center, I met the Director of Nursing, Mya, who gave me a tour and discussed my mother's care needs and our expectations. We moved her in and she was well taken care of and happy. After three weeks of OT and PT and good care by the nursing staff, she went home and is doing well. The only reason I did not give the facility 5 stars was the food was not adequate for my mother. We ended up bring her healthy food to support her autoimmune disease. If you have a family member who needs rehab after an illness or injury, I recommend Regent Care.

I looked at several locations before deciding on Regent for my mother. The place is clean, the food is good and the staff have been very friendly. They speak to the patients with compassion. My mother is very happy there.
