Wouldn't advice this agency since they never follow up. I ended up calling several times but never actually spoke to the person I wanted to. There are some really good design recruitment agencies like NU Creative, Adrem goup, etc.

I was contacted by a lovely recruiter called Esther, who I met the same week and was placed in a Creative agency a week later. I see lots of people complaining about recruiters and I have been on the books of many agencies so can honestly say Red Sofa listen to their contacts and seem to work for them as well as the clients.
The team at Red Sofa had placed me in the perfect opportunity and I was also offered a full time position for which RS negotiated a very good salary. Unfortunately I eventually decided not to take the job opportunity and stayed freelance.
The only slight negative is that I have not managed to secure any further work through Red Sofa since 2016, but I hope this is just because my experience maybe does not fit their Briefs.
Nice team as far as I am concerned!

Firstly I wish I could just give half a star, and the only reason I will give half a star is because just down the road is a really good pizza place (can't remember the name)

I Travelled all the way to shoreditch from south London which cost me the maximum travel limit in london, just to meet with a guy called John Fraser. he made me believe he would get me a job within 2 weeks easily, especially with my great Cv :)

He got me an interview for a job which was way above my level, I attempted the interview anyway hoping I could wiggle my way in, after the interview I heard absolutely nothing from John Fraser or the company even though he told me he will keep in constant contact with me.

I emailed him a month later for feedback on the interview and any suggestions, and he didn't reply, so I emailed again expressing my complaints and was given a really useless reply that there was some sort of accident and he thought I had already got a job, (so basically he did not follow up on me and the interview at all)

Basically red sofa is useless and I feel that they actually owe me the travel cost for wasting my time and money to travel to shoreditch just to meet with someone who I don't really like.

I don't understand how a recruitment company can hire someone like John Fraser who literally blurts out Bs to make you feel good. I could do a way better job.

It is a funny world we live in when the guy with the skills is asking the no brainer for help.

---THEY HAVE NOW REPLIED---

I have posted the response I received by email at the end.

as soon as I published this bad review about the company I received a phone call and email literally 15 minutes later.

It's funny how they can respond so quickly when it's something negative about the company, but when someone so SMALL like me is searching for a job they can easily forget about me as if I'm nothing.

It just shows the people working at the company don't actually care about recruiting but more about showing off.

Redsofa is TOPS in my mind, as they are always up to finding more freelance work for me.

Rebecca and the team, always make a point to reply to all my emails and questions, they also give me a call all the time to chat about roles.

Very friendly and accommodating, I always feel like I'm very important, and valued.

Thank you Redsofa

I have had an excellent experience with Red Sofa. They have been proactive and responsive to my requirements for a new job. They have kept me informed when putting me forward for roles and kept me up to date with all correspondence between themselves and clients. When setting up meetings and interviews on my behalf they have briefed me thoroughly prior to so that I have been fully prepared. I highly recommend Red Sofa if you are looking for work.

So I applied for a marketing manager role the other day, where I ticked all the boxes. It is pretty much what I had been doing for years. I do get it that companies may look for other things in a candidate, experiences or skills I may not have - that's all fair enough.

Now I headed departments and lead teams in my past and; I have a solid career as a Web Application Developer that spans over eight years, plus six years solid campaign experience (end-to-end) in digital marketing and some general Project Management experience in Software Engineering.

I do appreciate if a recruitment agency is offering alternatives (that is relevant to your experience). I get it, that is part of their job. Matching talents with employers. However, RedSofa has the audacity to match me with a job (not position!) that is advertised as sales, but is nothing else than cold calling, has nothing to do with my experience other than the fact that I speak German, plus offers less than I earned in my first ever position, fresh out of University. This is so offending, and it shows that so little thought and care is put into the interests of their clients (companies as well as applicants). Hence my one-star review.

Nice
