I bought a vehicle from Redbourn Auto in October this year, and I can't speak highly enough of the professionalism and willingness to help that Ian provided. From initially engagement, to viewing the vehicle and completion of the deal, it was an absolute pleasure dealing with him.

Not normally one to write reviews but I found Redbourn Auto Solutions very helpful, efficient and quick and to be the best price in the surrounding areas by a long way! Highly reccomended, will be going back if needed again.

Massive thankyou to the guys at Redbourn Auto Solutions, following a blowout, being sent the wrong alloy replacement by an online supplier and then issues with my spare they went above an beyond to get me back on the road the same day. Much appreciated and I'll be back when I recieve my correct alloy.

I suffered a irrepairable puncture on my Audi A3 - Redbourn Auto Solutions quickly and efficiently replaced the punctured tyre and got me n the road again. The technician went to good length to inform me of the in-car setting for tyre pressure alarm and how to reset it.

We received the best service team from Ian and his team. Kindly collected and delivered car back to us. Prompt service, kept us updated before any major repairs were carried out. Staff we spoke to were very cheerful. Pleased we came across their advert. Great customer service and highly recommend. I have been using Ian & his expert team at RAS for some years now. Whether I contact them in an emergency or for a scheduled appointment, the service is first class. From the immaculate courtesy cars to the genuine parts fitted on my car, RAS deliver a reasonably priced, prompt and efficient service. I can not recommend them highly enough.

We used this garage to replace one of our tires after a puncture.

I found the Ian, the owner, and his team to be untrustworthy and misleading in both their discussion with my wife and with me. Specifically they:

a) Advised us of the minimum legal requirements but did not advise us of the manufacturers and AA/RAC guidance having matching brands/tread-patterns on tires across an axle. I asked why they had not done this, they said that they could not supply a matching tire and so why would they advise us of something that might mean we would take the vehicle elsewhere.
b) When I asked (over the phone) for the manufacturer and model of the tire that had been removed they said they couldn't read it off the tire. When I visited the workshop and asked to see the tire, the labeling was clearly visible.
c) When I complained they offered me a GBP20 partial refund against the tire they had fitted - promising to pop it in the post. This never arrived.

I would avoid this garage unless you know exactly what you need to have done and do not need their advice.

Ian, Melanie and their team are absolutely fantastic. Salt of the earth, honest, friendly, who do a fantastic job and get you back on the road safety and quickly.

They have come to my rescue on many occasions - for things as silly as me running out of petrol, to getting our car back on the road in time for our holiday.

Amazing service from Danny after calling in an emergency as they were closing on Saturday afternoon. He stayed late on a Saturday to help me and has gone above and beyond to get my car repaired perfectly and back to me quickly. He has been a pleasure to deal with and really has gone the extra mile, keeping me updated throughout and personally making sure everything was in hand. Exceptional customer service. Redbourn Auto Solutions was number one choice for me for several years now for MOT and regular services, I liked and trusted them for being honest and doing good & professional service for my relatively old car. However recent bad experience likely to change this and I would be hesitant to recommend them anymore, as not totally sure if it was single incident or general down hill trend (which unfortunately happens with some places).


Update: I was contacted by owner who explained their view of what happened as well as listened to mine explanations, and at the end we came to mutual agreement on the situation. Apparently they do care about customers such myself and want them be happy with service provided. I updated my review/rating to reflect this and will come back for further services my car needs.

Car went in for new tyres, aircon recharge and wheel alignment.
Didn't get charged for wheel alignment as it was all within factory spec, which was a lovely surprise.

Fab service, professional staff.
