Fantastic ski resort, plenty of runs, and plenty of Trees!
Beautiful hill with friendly staff and great snow conditions!
Great hill with tons of difficult terrain as well as beginner areas. Incredibly friendly staff, short lines, and fun atmosphere.
The Josie outside deck is awesome and their burger is the best in town.
Awesome ski resort with sweet runs. Mostly intermediate and advanced but there's lots for the folks who are new to it as well.
Friendly people, great skiing, awesome snow. We spent a week there and there is so much terrain to ski that we didn't get bored. The Paradise Lodge was a great place to stop for lunch -- they had amazing burgers.
Great location to go skiing, very cool small ski town, makes a change from the Big Ones in BC. Will be going back again in the future, just the 7 hour drive thats a little harsh.
Fantastic water falls to visit and swim, highly recommended for family with children.
Lifts are notoriously slow, but the insane amount of terrain makes it worth the wait. One of the only resorts that offers cat skiing for $10 a run.
I am not a skiier and still enjoyed it... Imagine if you love skiing or snowboarding...
So much fun and so many interesting runs I never knew about
Outstanding terrain. Uncrowded slopes. Real town. Unpretentious, super-kind locals. I've been to just about every major western North American resort. Red is my favorite, straight away.
The mountains have a great selection of terrain, and the resort itself is great, lots of great pubs and restaurants!
Breakfast was below average for the level of establishment i think.
A great ski resort that's a bit tucked away. Fantastic terrain and nice amenities. Downsides are the slow chairlifts and the lack of signage on the trails.
Great skiing, new hotel and hostel, awesome place to visit.
Perfect, first beer served in Rafters December 2018, to me
The best terrain anywhere, with Kirkup Cat Skiing taking the experience to a whole other level.
I skied here for 2 days for the first time in about 15 years - I was amazed at the new development and the amount of new terrain that has been opened up. Lots of variety for skiing. I wasn't around during a powder day - so I can report that the groomies were excellent. Thanks!!
This is a fantastic mountain with lots to see and in my top 3 in Canada. It has runs for all levels including some great blue and black runs. There are a few sides of the mountain to choose from and depending on the weather, you can move to different areas.
I was going to say underrated but clearly the 4.8 says otherwise. Maybe overlooked by east coasters but a great mountain.
We happened on this place by accident and were so glad we did. The food was great and the staff so friendly. We ended up going back again the next night and tried other dishes. Again it was excellent.
An overlooked ski area with a low key vibe and great terrain.
Excellent resort - well maintained groomed runs with lots of excellent powder stashes that seemed to go on for miles. Staff was polite and friendly to boot; lift ticket prices were really reasonable.
Had both my kids under three years old ripping the magic carpet. Easy access. And friendly staff.
Pluses: Great variety of terrain, not super busy. Minuses: No high-speed chairs, on- hill signage is poor.
Only 2 hours 45 min from spokane and worth every minute and dollar!
Not super epic steeps but much bigger than I thought and just as good a vibe. Great for varied ski group and obviously great with pow (which is what we got). Friendly and not crowded. Absolutely awesome ski bar too. Special points for the name of the ski shop: Piste Off
Awesome resort for powder lovers. Escape long lines and overpriced passes and get inspired by a fun crowd that loves snow and skiing.
Ski Bunnies Galore, aprea brewskis at the lodge bar or the pub on the highway 1/2 mile to town.
Good times and Pow
No Pow check out the cat skiing op theyll get it for yah!!!
: )
We stayed here for 6 nights and it was absolutely amazing. Best skiing I've ever experienced. The resort is absolutely beautiful and the staff are amazing. There isn't much shopping at the resort but there is a free shuttle into town. The drivers of the shuttles are all amazing
Best place I ever snowboarded at. Can t say enough. 2 bedroom condo. Heated floor full kitchen hot tub on balcony steam shower. Nicely decorated. Lift tickets are affordable. The mountain is mostly glades and wooded back country, but there s something for everyone. Not a lot of people. Small base area. But there s over 4000 acres to ski at. 3 full mountains and one severed by 10 dollar cat skiing. It s not a big corporate ski area. People are so friendly. And then there s the Canadian exchange rate. Use the free snow host program. They ll take you up for a couple of hours and show you the area by ability.
Fun people, long groomers and mellow and advanced terrain.
Disappointing. Should not open until more than Silverlode and T-Bar is operating. I paid fifty bucks for a bunny hill! YAWN.
Has a wide range of terrain from difficult to easy. Lots of powder, lots of trees and because of the variance, It's a great family hill. It's worth the drive for sure.
No lines, beautiful mountains and magical powder, an undiscovered gem!
I was only camping in the parking lot, but the people were very friendly. This seems to be a popular place summer and winter. I liked it!
My son in law and my daughter ran the Broken Goat 50k trail race!
We loved our trip to Red at the beginning of February! We were lucky enough to have some good snow while we were there and even though it was a 10 hour drive from home it was absolutely worth it! We took a mountain tour our first day and our guide, Larry, was phenomenal! He took us up all the lifts and helped us to find excellent runs for our ability. Red is huge but surprisingly approachable and friendly. We never had to wait longer than 10 min for a lift and most of the time there was no lineup at all. It might just be my favourite place I ve ever skied.
One of the best ski resorts in North America, and has been correctly rated such by Powder Magazine in the past. There is amazing terrain and good places to go for beginners, intermediates, "experts", and real experts. Perfect 7/5.
I love this mountain, have been coming for over 20 years. Great tree skiing, and incredible powder stashes. The place could use some new chair lifts, but other than it is the one of my favorite skiing destinations.
Great resort, great staff, great little town. Always a pleasure visiting.
Epic hill! Little gem. Great tree skiing. Now on my favourite list.
I love Red Mountain!
The best skiing experience in the West!
I have rode here since the mid 80's. I've seen a lot of changes over the years and I'd love to say how awful it is to keep people away but some how it keeps getting better. If you like powder riding trees and steeps in a somewhat quiet resort you won't be disappointed. The paradise lodge has some awesome staff too!
Incredibly fantastic ski resort. One of the most beautiful mountain I have ever made. No acahlandage and a lot of dry powder. Heaven !!!
The best mountain excellent terrain! Friendly non-commercial place! Great snow
Loved RED! Big mountain, amazing views, so much terrain, and nonlines. Will definitely be back!
Not many lifts - 5 chairs of the non detachable variety.. But it gives you access to large variety of runs esp if into skiing trees. Not so much for the beginner plenty for intermediate esp for advanced/expert skier. Accommodation at the lift area or 4 - 5 km down the hill at Rossland with free shuttle each half hour am pm then hourly during the day.
We had a couple of very cold days here in February, 2018. The snow was amazing, and there are a variety of runs for all skiers/boarders. The trees are great too! The only drawback are the chairs - no high speeds. We were freezing by the time we got to the top! But there are great lodges to warm up in! Overall, great skiing, great food, nice staff! Try to get Dieter as your host-we all had a great time!
Definitely the best place to skiing and snowboard, the resort is so cozy and comfortable, gotta comeback soon...
Awesome ski hill. Tons of challenging terrain to explore. Gorgeous views from the top.
Great resort for all levels. 360 degree skiable mountain is very fun. Very expansive resort. Lots of beginner runs and also significant vertical with lots of features. Very playful terrain.
If you're fortunate enough to get to the mountain on a powder day you may have to wait in a line, but once you're up on the mountain it's like you own the place. A ski hill like nothing else I've ever been on. Best snow I've ever experienced. I honestly just love this place.
Steep...steep...steep. Under Red Chair was powdery amazement
