My home away from home! I love Pastor Rusty...He is an AMAZING teacher. I love how Rusty applies The Bible to every day life. I'm grateful for RLC and we are raising our 2 lil girls to have Jesus live in their heart throughout all things they do and say in life.

This church has changed my life. We've been going for 7 years now and each year my faith grows even stronger. This is the perfect church no matter your level of faith: People that aren't quite sure if they believe, those struggling to grow their faith and experienced Christian's looking for meaningful ways to serve and strengthen their faith. The church mission is "to help people find and follow Jesus." So it is designed to help people get started with their faith and then to help them grow closer to God. The messages are practical, inspiring, educational and truly help with real life. Many people are initially drawn to this church by the powerful modern music and talented band. Then they are hooked by heartfelt focused messages delivered by talented pastor speakers. When I first attended I was surprised by the movie theater stadium seating and the professional stage lighting. The production quality is very sophisticated. Also, the children's programs are amazing. Kids get their own live music and a lesson. My 7 year old grandson loves going to church.
Finally a church for everyone. Whether you are religious spiritual or just casually Christian, this is the place for you. HOWEVER, one odd observation..... there is not one cross on the premises inside or outside. Very unusual.
Music is amazing and even though it's big there are so many great and kind people. They have groups for people to work on stuff or get support or encourage each other. They want to help people find and follow Jesus and they really help you do it. Love that church!
WHY? Why has it become the church s goal to stimulate its members with all the elements of a rock show (minus the alcohol and crowd surfing) when they ve come to gather on Sunday morning for a much higher purpose than to be entertained?
It's a shame how much of your time, money and energy is put into luring people to your campus. You keep asking people to invite everyone they know! Is this so you can start another building fund for Canyon Country? Rather than simply stepping out into the neighborhoods around you and partnering with the amazing things already happening, and the great things people are doing, you seem content to franchise out your particular brand of Jesus-stuff, Doing what ever it takes to get people to come in the door!!
A Church in Ojai California is selling its building, The pastor says he is tired of writing checks spending money on the building and upgrades that could go to people that need it!! he plans to hold services in different locations throughout Ojai and the congregation is more then happy!! They don't need a big building light shows fog machines!!
Always look forward to Sunday mornings with Real Life Church. Live music is always a blast to listen to. Preaching is very relatable and is taught in a way where you can incorporate it in your life. Staff is always friendly and happy to help you. Child care is a plus. Highly recommend this church to anybody looking to get involved.
Coming to this church was the biggest disappointment I have experienced. I invited my boyfriend to come here with me thinking that that this was a God lead church...it wasn t. It was as if we were at an Apple seminar and they were bragging about their stuff and money for the building. The place feels fake and phony and has pushed my boyfriend further away from what true Christianity really is. I hate this place and caution you with warning if you want to visit here.
Ibteally loved this church it was amazing. The lights the music the seating the putdoor seating. The only thing i was sad about was not one person said hello or invited me to join a bible study or group. Not sure if this is normal. I hope next time i come yhey will be more friendly. I am searching for church so i will be trying more churches. May come back may not .
I had the opportunity to visit Rob Baldwin's First Stone Community Maker Lab which is located inside of the church. I was impressed with how big the facility was, particularly with the outdoor shaded amphitheater that is right in the front of the church. Parking was also very easy, and lots of it, and the building is huge. They're also adding an additional wing, if the original building wasn't big enough already.
Happy to call this church home. Very friendly and inviting. Great teaching and well connected to the local community and beyond through serving activities and mission trips.
I ve been going here for years and it s truly an amazing place. I was lead here by God and I m so blessed that he showed me such a beautiful amazing place. God bless all!
A great church that isn't "preachy" very easy way to get into a church even of your not to certain about your beliefs. Everyone is very welcoming and not judgemental. A very casual atmosphere where it's totally ok to go in Jean's and a tshirt.
If you like coffee and a cookie and want to be entertained for an hour then it's perfect..if you want a closer relationship with God then look for another Church..
Great church. We moved to the area on Dic 2016 and it took us a while to find our new church until we find RLC about year and a half ago. We went to Rooted and now we have an amazing Life Group. I am so thankful for the opportunities this church has given us. Please give this church the chance to help you learn God's Truth..... you will not regret it!
I've been going to this church for the past 5 years and I love this church. The message they send to the community, the love and support that they do is amazing!
Great music, greAt messages from the Bible and the scriptures are understood in present day terminology with humor I like that all the services can be reviewed the following Tuesday after the Sunday service.
Unpopular opinion incoming. This church was not what I was hoping for. I personally go to church to learn, not feel good. It seemed that this church had adjusted its message to cater to a more "liberal" audience. The pastor didn't pick up the bible once. It felt like everything was nerfed so as not to offend anyone in this post Christian era we live in. Did I mention there is not one cross anywhere to be found. Is that because the cross is viewed as offensive now? With all the things going on in the world today, I was amazed how the message did not tie into current events even once. God calls us to be warriors. We need more people speaking up for what is right, especially as the end times prophecy in revelation becomes more and more true everyday. Everything about this place makes me raise an eyebrow. A lot of young people come here which makes sense. If you like the glitz and glamour of mega churches, this might be for you. I personally want to be surrounded by people who are not ashamed of supporting good old fashioned Christian ideals. For that reason I will not be returning.
Real Life Church is a loving environment for everyone. You can worship outside in the amphitheater with your pets, grab coffee and go inside where everyone is welcoming, our kids love it, and the messages challenge you to live life at a higher level. We ve been coming here for years and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a church home.
I am not happy at all they took away the 5:00 pm services they said they were just putting it on pause now I heard they are not getting it back I am not happy with real life church if they do this I am looking for another church this is not right that is THE ONLY TIME WE CAN GO THEY NEED TO BRING BACK 5:00 pm services I am not happy I am very upset
I arrived at around 10, coming from Burbank. It was exceedingly difficult to find a place to park, so I didn t reach the classroom area until 10:10. I was told that the kids classrooms were closed. I came her so my son could experience God s love, but no love here. What kind of church turns a child away. Only this one.
I love Real Life church and went to it for many years. I was sad when I had to move away, but feel blessed to be able to watch it on TV since we haven t found a new church we like as much. Rusty is the best! He has a great sense of humor and has a great way of relating the Bible into everyday life. I never find myself looking at my watch, but in the contrary find myself wanting more at the end. The music is uplifting and up beat and love singing along with it!!!! They have awesome kids programs and fun community events. Lastly and probably most importantly they are a very giving church. Giving to many outreach programs both locally and globally. I highly recommend this church and I hope you re able to attend a service, but if not, at least check out their weekly teachings online and you will be more inriched and blessed.
We are new to the church but after going to church off and on my whole life, this is the first time I look forward to the following week while we are walking out of the service. This is not your normal church but that is what we like about it. The music is fantastic and we really enjoy it but I do find it to be a little loud during the prair times sometimes. Between the fantastic music to start things off followed by the way Rusty delivers his sermons, we really enjoy our Sunday mornings here.
Beautiful facilities, friendly staff, lively worship services, and great teaching! What else could you want from a church environment? I mean, other than Jesus being there in the flesh of course.
