Rapunzel Salon and Day Spa Review

I look forward to my husband's generous gift certificate every Christmas- I have had facials, brow wax , massages and mani-pedis for my daughter and her local bridesmaids before her wedding in June/ 2016. I have not had any bad experiences, and (hope I remember her name correctly) had the best massage from Christie. Can't wait to "cash in" soon... In 2017, I have had excellent massages with Patty (she's magic) and most recently with Kelly, also gifted. They both helped me a lot!

I've gone here multiple times for waxing & the lady there is so nice, communicative, & definitely makes you feel special, by remembering your name, story, & all that. It's a relaxing atmosphere, with waterfalls & refreshments. They have gift certificates available & it's always a nice gift to give for massages, waxing, hair colour/cuts, nails, aromatherapy, etc. I've always had a good experience! You can even make your appts. online.

I can t say enough about how good was my experience. Kalu was my massage therapist and she was wonderful, kind, great technique, fully present. My shoulder/neck was in spasm and I left feeling like a new person. Pain decreased from 8 to 5.
My only suggestion is better music. I don t enjoy lyrics in my relaxation music.
Atmosphere of the spa is beautiful, clean, and tranquil.
Highly recommend and will definitely return.

I have given a Rapunzel's gift certificate to my wife since the salon was on Broad Street in Lansdale, because she enjoys the occasional TLC spa time. She recently suggested I go for a full-body massage because I was feeling a fair amount of upper shoulder-neck muscle tightness and general discomfort. So glad I took her advice. Alex did an amazing job of loosening the knots while I had 30 minutes to just relax. The new facility is quite nice and reception staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Thanks!

I have been to this salon several times for a massage, and I have been disappointed many of the times. The last time I went, I specifically asked for deep tissue but received more of a Swedish massage. When I spoke to the manager, all she had to say was that they were putting a note in the account for the next time I come in. I have to say that I will not return.

I went the other day for a couples massage with my boyfriend! I don t get massages too often, but when covid took over, as a spin instructor I was not taking as many spin classes. So since things are starting to open back up, I ve been spinning/training so much more so my back has been distressed. This massage was excellent and I can t remember the names of the two girls, but one had brownish black hair and the other blonde! The essential oils they used were delightful and the scalp treatment left my hair feeling amazing for the next day and not oily. Both my grandmother and mom have gone to Bonnie to get their hair done for 20+ years and I used to go as well. They really upgraded the salon and it s beautiful! We will be back!

Jay and Theresa did an amazing job during the couple's massage I got for my mom's birthday. They individualized our massages for what we each wanted and were very attentive to how we were feeling. The spa is incredibly nice and very relaxing. We can't wait to go back!

Went for my 1st visit today with Lauren. She is a cut and color wizard! Brought my hair back to life! Can't say enough great things about this salon. Everyone there is so friendly, welcoming and talented. Will definitely be going back!

I went here for a 90 minute hot stone massage. The massage was the worst I have ever had. When the massage therapist, Miranda, used her hands, it felt like she had no clue what she was doing. I asked for medium pressure and she was touching me so lightly it was more of a back rub than a massage. Her touch was extremely awkward and uncomfortable. I have a lot of tension in my back from sitting at a desk all day and this massage did absolutely nothing to loosen my muscles and bring relief. Overall extremely disappointing experience and would not recommend this place for a massage.

I go to Rapunzel's for waxing services. My technician, Nancy, is fantastic. She is prompt, gentle, personable and professional. I feel very safe and comfortable. I have to say that I have not used any of the services in the rest of the salon, except a massage several years ago.

Although the folks seem nice, I don't really feel a connection with the other staff. They speak if they see you, but no warm fuzzies. I just check in and go back to the spa for my services.

I give Nancy my highest recommendation!!

Rapunzel s never disappoints. I always have a great experience with their stylist Kaylyn. She has been doing my hair for years. I have naturally thick hair that is hard to manage. She takes her time and does an excellent job every time! I would highly recommend!

Had a couple's massage two days ago and it was wonderful ! We both very much enjoyed it, the atmosphere is nice, the therapists knew what they were doing and the pressure was perfect. Feeling much better, and the pinched nerve causing numbness down my arm is gone ! So so happy. We'll be back!

I'm not the client that looks for a Groupon!! I simply want my hair color done properly. I understand the first visit may be less fluid, but the second visit should be on the money. My first and second visit produced the results I was looking for. Thank you Antabella for being a great listener and knowing your craft.

My first experience was probably due to the Spa Gift Card present and Rapunzel accepted it. I tried the Hot Stone (not for me, but c'est la vie). Since then, I have gone back twice more (I think!) and man, it is so easy and quick to schedule an appointment-- I have done it with only 48-72 hours in advance (I mean I take my chances, but still). They are friendly (even though I have gotten lost parking -- go by the gas station) and got lost walking to the back room BUT just ask them to walk you. WAIT! The hot stone was the 2nd time. The first time I was UP in the Tower... that massage was not that good, but that was 3 years ago. Since then, I have had Rob and Patty. I love it. Pressure, hitting what my muscles need, and the proper amount of talking :) I like to talk. But sometimes you just want to lie still. Anyway, look them up! Check their email deals AND pamper yourself. It is not just a luxury but it is a HEALTH BENEFIT.

The services are great, but beware of their policy regarding gift cards. You can not use gift cards for specials, or tipping, despite the fact that they are cash value. Also, if you purchase a service special as a gift, make sure the recipient uses it before it expires as it will become cash value and you will have the same issue as stated above.

I always get my hair cut by Tina Siffel and especially LOVED my last hair cut. I had some long layers put in and it definitely helped give my hair some needed lift. I was even able to wear it down the 2nd day. I usually have to wear it up day 2. But what was even better was the recommended volumizing shampoo and conditioner . I LOVE THEM. I can do so much more with my hair. First time ever in winter that I don't have fly away/staticky hair!! Never realized how much a difference a shampoo and conditioner could make. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm hooked!

When I was in doubt about drastically changing my style, they took the time to give me the best advice possible, consulting with the owner and letting me know all my options; pros and cons.
The salon is also a spa. My husband and I go there regularly and we live their services and their masseuses are caring, friendly and very professional.
The salon is pricy, but worth visiting.

I absolutely love this place. I got introduced to this place through my sis- in- law and ever since then I have not used any other spa/salon. Staff is extremely professional. It's bit on a pricey side, but you get an excellent service! I would highly recommend this place for spa, manicure, pedicure and of course for all hair related treatments!

This place is an absolute joke. I called to make an appointment and the girl who answered the phone made the appointment and said if you are getting color you need a consult before. I said ok but I want my hair done etc. She agreed they could accommodate that. Needless to say I leave work early on a Fri, sit in traffic for an hour to be told when I show up its a consult and they cant actually do my hair they are just too busy. The stylist Justine says to me oh you must be upset so you don t want to make an appointment I guess. Who does business like this?? Please get over yourself and realize this is Lansdale and not a NYC salon who does celebrities hair. I actually feel like this is some sort of discrimination toward me as the stylist had absolutely no interest in doing my hair for whatever reason. Please run don t walk from this place.

Recently moved to Lansdale. My hair w was too blonde and I needed a good cut. When I
called to make the appt, I explained what I was looking for in a stylist. She made an appt, for me with Patty. She was awesome! My cut and color are gorgeous. Lots of
layers and low lights to die for! Compliments galore....I am extremely happy and am so
happy I found Rapunzels

Probably one of the worst haircuts I have ever gotten. I came in asking to have my hair cut because it was very long. Kelly (the stylist cutting my hair) asked if I wanted to donate it, which I was thrilled about.
I asked her for three things - 1. to be able to put my hair in a pony tail still, 2. for my side bangs to be long enough that I can put them behind my ears and 3. to take some of the weight out of the middle as my hair is very thick. Not only did she cut my hair shorter than asked so I can no longer put it up, but she also cut my bangs no where near long enough to reach my ear. I also asked for long layers which in the past, has meant that the ends are made different lengths. I have a line of cut hair going through the upper portion of my head which must have been part of these "long layers". I have tried changing the part on my head to make these go away and they are still visible. It looks very choppy. Overall, very disappointed as the cut was not cheap.

I went on a recommendation from a friend for my birthday. The location wasn't as easy to find off the road in the dark, but the service and atmosphere was great. Very quiet and relaxing, just what I needed.

New location in North Wales, PA us gorgeous. The spa and hair salon are both completely handicapped accessible. The massage therapists in the Spa are a talented team of people trained at the salon's owner's massage therapy school. Alex (female) can give you a deep tissue massage like no other. The salon and spa is very clean and fresh. The spa is quiet and serene and us perfect for bachelorette or other spa parties. Love

Maureen is wonderful at bringing out your natural beauty. She did make up for myself and members of my wedding party. She was very professional and helpful in select colors that would work perfectly for each member of the party. I would highly recommend Maureen for whenever you need to have your makeup done.

Great staff, great hair and spa facilities. Wouldn't go anywhere else to get my hair done, been going here for over 20 years. Spa services are to notch and very relaxing. Couples massage is awesome! LOVE IT AND EVERYONE THERE!!!!

My husband bought me the mother's day package (facial, massage, and mani pedi). My facial with Nancy couldn't have been better! Definitely recommend her and would go back again. My face was so soft and the whole experience was relaxing. Massage was decent. I had a prenatal massage and assumed they had a special pillow so I could lay on my stomach but instead I laid on one side and then switched to the other halfway through. Still decent but not sure I would do it again (prenatal anyway). Then the mani pedi I wasnt too happy with. She was very sweet and easy going but didnt clean under my nails at all and I had white nail polish but whatever top coat was put on made the color a dirty tan-ish yellow. Definitely disappointed but my toes look okay.

I had a combination Swedish/deep tissue massage with Andrea. I felt it was one of the best massages I'd ever had. She really worked on the stress points, but I came out without feeling the pain I'd often felt at other salons. I left feeling very relaxed and will definitely return to Rapunzel's in the near future.

Staff was very nice and professional. This was my 2nd time going and I will be going back soon. The spa is nice and big in the inside and there's lots of parking as well

I regularly receive massages and facials at Rapunzels. I have seen about 3-4 different massage therapists, they are all excellent. I always see Nancy for my facials and she is excellent as well. Super professional people - atmosphere very relaxing. I always tell my husband to just get me gift cards to Rapunzels for Christmas/birthdays/Valentines day- no need for anything else, love this place!

Excellent salon! I have been a client of Rapunzels for over a year. They have excellent customer service and it's easy to get an appointment. I recommend Patti for hair and color. She listen's to what you want and has great suggestions.I would say she has a special gift with color that gives your hair a natural youthful look and feel. I have used the spa for massage and facials. The spa has a quiet serene feel and a very sweet staff. I always come out feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Went for a Valentine's day couples massage and loved it. One must make time to relax and decompress. This type of therapy is so needed in our hectic lives. Alex was great!

Through a friend I went to Rapunzel's for a "NEW" - do last month and I loved the whole experience! The Salon is fabulous. It was an hour drive, but a great way to spend the day with a friend and I look forward to our day together at Rapunzel's again.

First time visiting this salon. Right from the gecko I walked into a overall pleasent smoothing atmosphere. From being greeted in to my seeing my stylist(Timmy) everything went excellent. I went in for a kertian treatment for the first time and I probably asked Timmy a billion questions and not once did he seem irritated, also he's a good conversationalist. The salon has very affordable prices, and I'll definitely be looking into booking future appointments because of how I was treated from the start.

First, the very few bad reviews, I would not give them a second glance, particularly when there are countless great reviews. You will never find a salon like Rapunzels because there is no salon in this entire region that is as great as Rapunzels.

There is something to be said about finding a hidden gem. I have gone from one salon to another looking for someone who could be trusted to not only handle my hair, but also my daughter's hair which is a uniquely weird mix of curly, wavy, and straight. There is no chance what-so-ever you will find anyone better than Dawn at any other salon in the area. She is able to take a vision, and turn it into something even better, with the kindness and heartfelt sincerity that is sorely lacking in the industry.

For those looking for just color, you will be hard pressed to find anyone in the Philly region who is not as well versed in colors than the team at Rapunzel's and I have spent many hours listening to them debate specific colors with an intensity that is both awe-inspiring and greatly appreciated. For those looking for just a hair cut, I will never let anyone other than Dawn, or her amazing assistant Liz, bring scissors to my daughter's hair. Every single time we leave we feel absolutely amazing, and my daughter has that little bit extra self-confidence that kids in middle school seem to sorely lack.

The spa at Rapunzel's is also top notch. I have never had a real loyalty to any spa, and found that the major chains were all basically the same, with the same types of employees, similar pricing (and similar contracts), so when I made my first appointment with a massage therapist at Rapunzel's several months ago I was merely expecting what I thought was a great massage. I quickly realized that the therapists at Rapunzel's are some of the best you will find, trained by one-half of the amazing ownership team, who is respected and recognized for being a leader in the field.

Dawn, the other half of the ownership team, ensures that all of her stylists are prepared with the newest techniques and constantly supports their professional growth and development. There is something to be said about the ambiance as well, the staff are all friendly and the times flies by when you are there.

Went to get my hair cut yesterday.....omg Kelly did exactly what I wanted!!! After 5 billion places & explaining what I wanted only to get shot down saying I couldn't get the haircut I knew would be best for me & my super long hair, Kelly listened & told me absolutely I could get what & how I wanted my hair!!!....& there was no disappointment whatsoever! FINALLY I found an experienced hair stylist! Thank you so much Kelly! I will never go anywhere else EVER!!!

I followed Kate there from her previous salon of employment and almost immediately felt the difference. The staff at Rapunzels are unorganized and confused at best and down right unprofessional and confrontational the majority of the time. I, for several years got the SAME exact services every time I would come but the price kept changing without any notice until I would go to pay. If I tried to question and push back I was labeled difficult . Seriously!? This happened at least SIX times! I felt loyalty to Kate so continued to go there but I guess she had no loyalty to me since after seven years she refused to see me because I challenged yet another price change. She actually argued with me about it instead of getting a manager to handle it right out in public! Finally I asked her to get Matt the manager. He took me into a private room and agreed with me that I had every right to be frustrated and to question all of the inconsistencies. Even after all if that I made another appt with Kate which was changed to Liz at the last minute bc I guess Kate was upset . Unbelievable at this point. Well, the topper was when I went to that appointment I asked to speak with Dawn the owner and she- with zero regard to the customers in her lobby- started to berate me and make up lies about things I didn t say. She would not even make eye contact with me . Seriously beware of this place and these people. She even refused to give me my color formula just out of pure spite. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here. I m happy where I m at now and saw the difference right away. Perhaps it was a blessing for me that I was forced to move on to a professional salon that has actual adults running the show.
