They can't keep employees. Every time I go in all new faces.

I retired from Raley's 15 years ago, loved it then and MORE now

It's okay , I mean it's quick shopping and whenever you need something the employees are their to assist you it's fast n easy

I'm not sure how to say that they have everything but, I just did.

Always clean, well stocked, friendly, helpful, good prepared food, excellent produce.

The front end clerks seemed to lack personality today. Must be tired from upcoming festivity preparation. I love the people in the deli. Even on a bad day they are great!!

This is a nice clean store with a nice selection. I usually just shop for the moment so I don't buy a lot at a time. I always carry my stuff to the car in the hand cart, empty it, and then bring the hand cart back to the store. I do this everywhere I shop. When I told the checker I didn't need a bag and to just put the stuff back in the cart, he called for someone to follow me out to my car. I told him there was no need as I would just bring the cart back in when I was finished, but wouldn't let me leave until the person got there to walk me out. He made me feel like a criminal. I think he may have been some sort of manager. When I got to my car, the person that followed me out apologized and said "I'm sorry.They are making us do this with everyone using a hand cart. It sends the wrong message".

Clean store very well laid out. Good location easy access from freeway. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

Love the remodeled look, I just can't find some of the things I can at Safeway.

Such a nice Raleys store. The produce was fresh and displayed so beautifully. They have everything!!!

Raleys, great service, excellent produce and meats, broad inventory. This store is store #1 which traces it's existence back to the first Raleys in downtown Placerville back in the 1930s.

Very clean store, the meat guys are not the friendliest, otherwise a great store.

I find it very difficult to find items in the store. I needed a lighter for birthday candles, they are not near the register, not near the matches, and not near the candles. This has happened with many items. The produce is very expensive and in my opinion, not really that good of quality. Same with the meats.

Lots of selections can be kind of pricey but now a days everything is pricey.

The postal center is the best attribute of this store, the most friendly and knowledgeable people work in this section. Please do not discontinue the postal center because this is the only mailing service my family trusts to deliver our mail...we can't and do not trust the actual city postal service after they have destroyed or lost our mail continously this year.

Redesigned inside witg great prices and fresh produce.

Good specialty foods you cant find anywhere else, some things are a bit pricey

All I need to shop for is right here. New store arangement was very confusing for a while though.

High quality produce, meats and a nice atmosphere. I really like the redesigned look at this location. Raleys allows kids under 12 to have a piece of fruit as parents shop which goes a long way in allowing the parents of toddlers to shop! I wish this location had the car carts like other locations have, but all in all our Raleys experiences have been nice.

First super store in placerville, and still survive ing

I am so disappointed in my neighborhood store. I have been coming here for 11 years and now I've decided to make Safeway my store to shop at. Today I eagerly went to Raley's for their 59 cent a pound turkey that came out in the adds yesterday. The butcher told me they had sold out already and I could get a rain-check at the register. When the sales-clerk was writing out the rain-check, the manager?, told her no rain-checks and no substitutions!! I had driven 25 miles round-trip to purchase a turkey for my families Christmas dinner! The add had only came out yesterday and there was nothing said in the add about quantities limited! I'm so upset and aggravated and have decided to make a trip to Safeway for a turkey for our dinner instead! Safeway has always stood by their adds and offered a rain-check with a smile! I feel the manager was really flippant with a, "Sorry about that!" as she walked away! I have to drive a extra mile in my round trip to a grocery store but I feel so upset about this that I will gladly drive the extra mile from now on! This store is nicer in appearance since they remodeled but there is no consideration in how they treat a long time customer! I feel they've ruined Christmas for me!

Usually don't shop here...it's more expensive than other grocery stores in Placerville.

Has pretty good service but dont know were anything's at and in word places !!

This casino is a must visit to your list! Great smorgasbord and awesome slots & tables! Even a non- smoking area downstairs away from the smoke!

I grew up going to this store and though it seems they are constantly remodeling I still like the quality of meat and produce here. The coffee bar is a treat too.

A little pricey on some items but the people are more enjoyable than those at walmart.

DELI: GREAT group of folks running this section of the store. Since the remodel the quality of the bread and overall cleanliness has gone up significantly, gloves are changed and exp expectations are met with flying colors!

WOK: The food, primarily meat quality are VERY poor. I will never understand why a quality store such as Raley's would allow that kind of quality sold in their store. Why don't they use meat from their own store? They don't even use produce from their own store. Maybe they should re-think their concept and focus more on quality and less grease. I absolutely love Chinese food, and this department needs much more focus from corporate.

They have the best butcher around. Always helpful and hilarious.

It's been a while since I have been to this Raley's. Seemed more like a dead zone than a grocery store. I used to really like this grocery store. Maybe it was the time of day I was there.

Not cheap. But a really nice grocery store.... this is the grocery store my mom used when I was a child ... She said " I only shop at Raley's because you can't smell the meat department'.

The store is really nice since the remodel. They carry a few items no other stores in town do. The big self check area is also nice.

Great selection, a little pricey compared to Save Mart.

I enjoy Raleys and some of their deals However , with the PG& E power outages they should put together hot family meal choices at a reasonable price cus paying $8.99 a lb for hot made mac & cheese or mash potatoes is ridiculous! Could you do a '"rotisserie chicken meal deal" Sprouts has one for only $11.99" C'mon Raleys - Your customers deserve a break on a hot meal! Be creative - Start also a barbecue meal deal , Hot Pizza Meal Deal!!! Call Food Trucks to join you during power outages 2 -3 days or more...be your community's hero!

The power was out in Placerville and Raley's was open with hot coffee on a very cold morning it made everything fill warm again.

Not a fan. This Raleys is a last resort when it comes to my shopping. Cruel to their employees. Even rude to guests. I hate being lied to. If I call and ask if you have something and you don t, just tell me so I don t waste my time coming all the way to your store under the impression you have what I need.

I went there yesturday to purchase products from the deli and waited approximately 20 min to get waited on so myself and 3 other people walked out and went to Safeway in and out in 10 min.

Very clean and presentable. Has a huge variety. Kind of expensive. Employees are very indifferent and not always friendly.

Anytime I want a sushi roll fresh this is where I go, here in town. The gentleman behind the counter is always happy to make you fresh ones. The price is great.

A little pricey, but there are good deals if you look for them. The store has been upgraded and is huge! Lots of local brands which is great.

Like others who have posted I just experienced the incredibly awkward experience of the staff assuming I was going to steal a basket after self check out because I didn t purchase bags. I bring the basket to my car, unload then return it.

Randomly a staff member approached me saying he ll take the basket when I m done. I informed him I m going to my car to unload my groceries. He said he ll follow me. I didn t protest but it made for a very uncomfortable situation. Him following me then waiting beside me as I put my groceries into my trunk before taking the basket and leaving.

I called the store to provide constructive feedback, only to discover it was the manager who instructed this staff member to escort me out. The same manager who smiled and saw me pay for my groceries as I proceeded to leave. I asked if the policy was posted, as I must have missed it yet he wouldn t answer the question.

If the manager would have politely informed me on the spot of the policy that isn t posted, I would have completely understood but since Derek said nothing then put it onto his staff member to do, makes this even more of an unprofessional experience.

Being treated like a potential thief isn t the Raley s experience I came for.
