Absolutely the worst experience! I needed to buy out my lease because I was transferred for work. I couldn't find my lease at the time so I went to the front office and asked what I needed to do going forward to buy out my lease. Lindsay who works at St. James of Goose Creek wrote down all the fees I needed to pay with the dates they were due by and printed out the moving checklist. I paid my fees to only get a call saying I still owed money! I went back to the office and they easily we're able me to pull up my lease and show I that I needed to pay double my rent. I asked why she wrote down my fees completely wrong, she said it was an honest mistake. Yea an mistake that's costing me an extra $986!!! She had the tools in her face to give me the correct information yet she was lazy and didn't do her job. Absolutely the worst service I've experienced as a renter and the attitude was so unprofessional. I've work in the service industry for 20 years and this is by far the largest "mistake" I've had to pay for. If I could rate them less than one star I would!!!
Corrupt company, they manage some of the worst apartment communities in the area. I was discriminated against because of my disability. So in other words I would stay away. They will even try to act like you moved in after you never did. Watch out. You've been warned. Even their attorney is a child molester from what I've heard.
* DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY *
- Appliances frequently break
- When appliances and HVAC does break, it takes WEEKS for them to fix it
- No training is given to staff
- Amenities are not kept up (broken grills, disgusting pools, etc)
I don't blame the employees, good management starts at the top. It speaks volumes that the only good reviews are from current employees. I truly hope this company reevaluates its business ethics and practices.
I live at the Ellington apartments in Miami gardens in florida. All of a sudden in may the apartments decided to start towing away cars that stays overnight unless you have a pass . this was not in the lease. My friend was helping me move some things from my apartment, and in less than fifteen minutes. Out of sight of his car the towing company the company has towing our cars away, took our car. We had to pay 125:00 to get the car out. This is wrong. No one should have to go to nothing like this .he was not staying overnight, he was just helping a friend.
HORRIBLE !!! DO NOT RENT ! i stayed at one of their properties the crossings in Jackson , MS over a year ago. I just found out that i owed over $300 to the crossings in July when one of my prior roommates tried to apply for a apartment. I came to this property to find out that I owe $300 for blind replacements and i paid that amount off in full . I get a call from a collections company stating that i still owe this company last week. The ladies at the apartment are rude and did not help me with verification of payment to send off to collections, they refused to fax receipts to collections and hung up on me. I called RAIT residential the corporate office and emailed them constantly for a week and i just got a call back today and Mrs. Fields the manager showed no concern about my credit, her rude staff, and my time wasted dealing with this ! This is the most unprofessional and rude company i have ever encountered. They could care less how many times I had to step out of my office and stop what i was doing at work to call them all day . I have a credit score of 730 + but they could care less about this and this was mistake was on their behalf ! Im pissed off and would advise you to not rent from ANY of their properties.
I lived in Runaway Bay apartments in Indianapolis for 3 years. The first year I lived there I signed a lease that said my rent was $873 ( i still have that lease) but I was charged $913 monthly + water, sewer & trash. Then the second year I was sexually harassed and stalked by the property manager. I kept quiet until I just couldn't handle it anymore & the corporation never tried to compensate me for my horrible few months living there. The property manager would come to my job, touch me & then try to tell me he could pay for my rent, call me for personal reasons & was even in my apartment while I was gone. He would stop by my apartment in the morning before I went to work & wait for me outside and say " is Jose there" My boyfriend is Puerto Rican & his name is not Jose. Then the third & final year of me living there my second bathroom toilet would over flow & cause my bathroom to flood with feces. I asked them many times to fix this issue in which they never did. The garbage disposal was broken , I was told that is how garbage disposals are supposed to be. I also called multiple times to get a garage underneath my apartment that was unused and the property manager would never call me back. I paid my rent on time every month which was almost $1000 and the management was the worst. My time there was horrible. They even let their property managers live on the property & have 2 garages, while others have to wait MONTHS to PAY for one. I finally purchased a home this winter, I gave my notice short of 15 days yet I was sued for 60 days of rent. My lease was up Jan 15. I paid all the way through the end of Dec and planned on paying for Jan 1- 15 . Not good enough . They are horrible & very unprofessional!!! H O R R I B L E! I will never recommend this company/ apartments to anyone! Stay away!!
I tried giving them no stars, but it wouldn't let me. This company is dishonest, rude, unsympathetic to your needs, and is probably the most aggravating company to have rented from.
My wife and I moved into Heritage Park Apartments in OKC, and lived there for almost the entire lease. We went to the office and asked, if we paid up through the rest of our lease, if we could move our things early to our next apartment. They told us it was completely fine! We paid our full amount for the month of November, and said we would return to pay the pro rate for the 7 days of December. We moved our things out on November 1st. Late into November, we return to pick up our mail, to find that SOMEONE ELSE IS LIVING IN OUR APARTMENT. AN APARTMENT THAT WE WERE PAYING FOR.
So when we approached the office they said that "You moved out November 14th, so we moved someone in." Well since they moved someone in, I refused to pay the prorate for december, and also said that we should get a refund for half of the rent of November, seeing as someone has been living in there for half the month. They said "We'll contact our corporate office and resolve this. Don't worry about the prorate for December."
6 months later, still no contact on giving us our money back, and today we get a call from collections saying that we owe them for the December pro rate and that we violated our lease.
These people fudged the paperwork saying that we moved out on a day that we did not move out on, and then moved people into an apartment that was still under lease, THAT WE WERE PAYING FOR. Stay away from this company, it is not worth the stress that they will cause.
Horrible management and customer service. When you move out, if there ends up being money owed due to various fees (determined afterwards without you present) their policy is to turn it over to a collection agency rather than contact you. It's almost impossible to get straight details or those fees itemized. You have no choice but to pay within hours/days of the initial contact by the collection agency or it is reported negatively on your credit history.
I moved into this apartment complex about 3 weeks now.. not my speed or style but I loved the school I got my daughter into so I decided to settle. red flags!!!! The first red flag is the lady named Jennifer is horrible and they are lazy as hell!!!(office)... they don't answer the office so how will anything get fix? but they want there rent on time etc.. I never write any reviews but this damn place smh!!! if I didn't spend my hard working money I would have broke my damn lease ASAP!! The only reason I am there at this point is because of my daughter school and her after school program but trust me those people that work in the office will run down this property.
