Great family area and perfect conditions! Love the food and people who work there.
I have gone to this ski resort since I was in second grande and i still go here to this day. This is just an all around great mountain and i got tought how to snowboard and ski here back in elementary school and my brother was one of my instructors. They always have some kind of job open there and you get a seasons pass if i work here
Ragged is a great medium sized mountain. College price is a steal at only $29!
Great local ski mountain with nice amenities, fun trails, and friendly staff.
Great mountain to teach kids to ski. Mountain while small has a great variety of difficulty for all level skiers. A lot of glade runs which is a huge bonus. And the groomers does a great job making smooth corduroys every morning
Not the longest runs but great terrain, short lift lines and good people. Lodge and bar are really fun and great for kids!
Did not help me find my lost jacket witch is bright green
Awesome for families. Great base lodge, excellent beginner area, good mix of terrain of both peaks.
Had an amazing opening day this year! The snow was great and the staff was very friendly! I highly recommend visiting this resort :)
Kyle at the rental shop is really super nice. He really went above and beyond for me and it helped me have a great first day skiing out east!
Love! 2nd year with season passes. Great family resort, especially with small kids.
Great family oriented ski area with affordable pricing.
Really nice mountain, the snow was really good, and the instructors were awesome. This was worth the 3 hr drive from Hartford. Only issue was no cell service (T-mobile but they have wifi) and there's no night skiing (closed at 4pm).
Great day on the slopes. Staff was great and so were the conditions for the recent weather.
Decent mountain. Large/clean facilities. Great staff, especially instructors and equipment shop. Learn to ski/ride free program is fantastic and the value is insane.
Ragged is a great medium sized mountain in a very accessible location. It's close enough to the large population centers of southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts to make it very day-trippable. The staff there is fantastic and friendly. Mariah at customer service was a huge help and made sure our experience was as good as possible. The terrain has a great mix with something for everyone. The glades are fantastic, some of the best in the state and certainly the best south of the whites. Two high speed chairs make sure you spend more time skiing and less time waiting.
My only complaint is that the lift ticket prices are high. Of course ticket prices are skyrocketing across the state, so Ragged's prices don't stand out compared to similar mountains. Like most modernized mountains they have RFID tickets that can be bought online for much cheaper in advance. If you do plan on skiing here be sure to buy ahead of time to get tickets significantly cheaper than at the window.
We had a great time skiing for the first time. The instructors are wonderful, from the get go they even help is put the ski gear on. It was a fun experience for us as beginners
Skiing is above my ability but the bar in the lodge is good and the rental and lift prices are decent
The Beebe Woods *free* learning program is amazing! It's exclusively for people who've never skiied before. Great mountain! Good packed powder. Go early before the crowds. Excellent food at the lodge too or you can bring your own. I had an excellent *homemade* New England clam chowder and the cheeseburgers are on brioche buns.
Great place to ski, get drinks, and awesome food! Classic resort with a very relaxed vibe.
I go here all the time to ski and it is amazing. You can take lessons here if you need to and has small mountains in case your not ready for the big stuff. If you are also interested in taking it to the next level they have a ski team and a terrain park for more advanced skiers. The food is a little pricey just a warning, a small fries are around 4 to 5 dollars! But is is a great place and you should definitely come
We LOVE this mountain. I have 2 little boys and the learning center is amazing for them! A special shout out to Kevin and Duane. They are our go to instructors. Duane is so kind and patient and went out of his way to work with my youngest who can be difficult to say the least. And Kevin is a perfect match for my wild child. Cannot say enough good things about Ragged.
A really enjoyable mountain. Great terrain, varied slopes.
Buyer Beware!! Purchased an advance ticket and got rained out. Management made it impossible to acquire a rain check. They've ignored numerous calls and emails. I guess that's the only way these resorts won't go belly up - robbing people.
I was here for a race and the slopes were inn great shape.
First time going to Ragged. Been to a few other local mountains, and this was so far one of the better experiences I have had. It's just far enough away from life to make you forget about life and just enjoy the riding, but not too far away that it's exhausting to drive. Will definitely be back!
Love ragged. Nice small mountain with nice community and employees.
Fun trails, great lifts, nice cozy lodge. Actually buying the tickets was a disaster. Guest services was packed, nobody was staffing the window or inside desk, no direction or assistance; I almost lost my sh!t over the whole experience. After that it was a great day.
This starts rough, but you should read it through. I have skied this twice. First time was very fun varied trails. There was nothing to difficult compared to larger mountains, but for the price, its a good one day trip. Now the second time, , , they said they would open. My friend came from NY on a whim to join my friend and I to ski a weekend. The conditions sucked. Rain during the night, so the lifts were delayed, for 2.5 hours! But the staff was really nice. Refunded my NY friend since he brought mountain side. I got a voucher because it was through lifttopia, (expected). It was a terrible experience for a ski day, but the staff made it bearable. All in all, ski is 6/10 staff 9/10. This review was way longer than I intended.
I first started going to ragged 13 years ago and the trails are great for beginners as well as the more experienced skiers After skiing the lodge offers great food and entertainment and a gorgeous lodge which has a fireplace running thru the middle of the lodge offering every level a real wood fire Would highly recommend
Awesome mountain best part is the bordercross course!!
Incredible large lodge with home-made soups and sandwiches and bar with beer on tap on second level. Mountain is intermediate in difficulty with two high speed lifts taking you up to two different peaks. Had a great time on their variety of black diamonds, blues and greens. High speed lifts are less likely to be shut down when it s windy compared to other resorts more north.
Great small mountain, with a good variety of terrain. High speed 6-pack and quad lifts are the best at getting you the most runs every day! The snow making and groomers are spot on! Simply amazing conditions. The lodge is clean, spacious, free wifi, and a cafeteria that does not require you to re-mortgage your home for decent food! The staff are friendly, and operate Ragged like a family business, so bring your family, friends and even your enemies. There is something at Ragged to put a smile on everyone's face!
A great ski resort. This is a fun place to go for the weekend or midweek. The new RFID system is very helpful and allows for a very efficient processing of skiers.
20 years of ragged mtn skiing and it just keeps getting better. More snow, more trails, and great staff...friendly and helpful. And good food too!
Best customer service bar none. Great hill for a perpetually low intermediate skier. 6 person lift insures short lines.
Very nice Mountain with a friendly, next door neighbor type of vibe. Enjoyable runs with fast lifts. If I lived closer I'd ski here a lot. It's nice enough that I'll make the trip to enjoy it again. Glades were not open, but would be great to enjoy when mother Nature provides enough cover
Some of the best glade asking in NH. A Mecca for Telemarketing skiers!
Great local mountain with terrain for everyone. Solid learning area with multiple carpets, a 3 pack lift, and then progresses to full mountain 4 pack detachable, and main mountain 6 pack detachable. Groomers, glades when snow allows, and a great variety of greens, blues, and blacks from the tops.
The kids lessons, half and full day camps, and race development and race programs are exceptionally staffed, trained, and organized.
Check out the season pass options, end of season, or early deal is the best there is!
We've been here every year for the past decade. There have been lean times and rich times but I think they are currently on a roll. You cannot argue with the current seasons pass price and they appear to have solved last year's parking problems. The skiing here is generally good but where Ragged really excels is in the tree skiing between the two peaks - just pray for some snow!
BY FAR, ONE OF THE BEST KEPT SECRETS FOR SKIING IN SOUTHERN NH.
So blessed that AEMS gets to spend Fridays enjoying the great conditions and helpful instructors! Thank you
Great runs, need more lifts. Filling to max with skiers and boarders makes the entire process uncomfortable
Ragged is my favorite Mountain to ski, conditions are amazing the glades are fun! 6 pack lift is super fast, Mission affordable seasons pass is a no brainier for anyone looking to get a pass at a great price! Oh and I love their chicken tenders for lunch!
Pretty small trail selection, but a great variety, and no lift lines.
Great family based ski area. Very good snowmaking and grooming work. Fun place to spend the day.
My favorite local resort. Student discount Sunday thru Thursday $47 lift tickets! This is my second time skiing and I really enjoyed myself.i stayed on the green and the bunny slopes. There were two green trails and two bunny slopes which I found sufficiently entertaining all day.
Always enjoy the skiing at Ragged. Was shocked at the lesser amount of trails that were open for top to bottom exposure. But the snow quality was good. I am sure that changed in the following day after our visit with the January warm up we experienced. Keep on getting ragged!
Cool place to hang out on a cold Winter Day! Lunch was great! Thanks!
Went there to do the bebe woods learn to ski program. It is an amazing deal. Not only was the staff friendly and helpful but each person in our group of four was helped out individually as we progressed at different paces. Carol was very accommodating in setting up our lessons. Make SURE to show up 15 minutes early for your lessons! After our lessons Kyle in the rental shop was extremely friendly and helpful in getting us our new gear.
Great place, excellent beginner area. Short lines. Food is better than most ski places, too.
Nice place. Needs better organization. Ski school is a bit crazy. Lots of kids all over. Ski instructor my child has was excellent. I did however see and hear a male instructor yell and leave 2 kids alone struggling. The food is rediculosly priced so bring your own food and save 50.oo easy on a family of 4 for lunch. Rental area was better they have knowledgeable staff that help and are friendly.
We love Ragged mountain resort!!! What an amazing learn to ski/snowboard program they have. My son is 10 and wanted to learn to snowboard. He was able to take 3 days of lessons (2 hours each day) for free!!! With rentals!!!! That s unheard of. What a great way for him to try and see if he liked it. And he loved it! He took lessons the past 2 days (and can save his last one for when we come back in February) and the instructors were amazing! They gave everyone individual attention and were so patient and kind. They taught my son so much and were so good with him I cannot thank them enough. Everyone who ran the program was wonderful. I am even going to ski which I haven t done in 25 years when we come back. We will now be lifelong Ragged Mountain skiers/snowboarders and will recommend them to everyone!! THANK YOU!!!!
It's a good size mountain with a great local atmosphere. Excellent glades, I just wish there was more snow this year.
Okay for the size of mountain. Could have made more snow. Staff helpful and nice.
Great family place to ski. Going here for years. Hope it never changes.
Great trails! Well maintained. Great service in the snack shop, long lines sometimes.
This is a great family mountain and fun to explore. The staff is friendly, food is delicious and the trails are wide.
Nice small mountain. Only had to wait ~5min max in line. Terrain wasn't bad and the glades were quit good. Really enjoyed the small mountain, family friendly vibe here.
This is a good place. When I first started skiing, the workers there were a very good help of teaching my family how to ski. My son is an expert at skiing and he thinks the advanced trails are very good.
Great family ski area - all trails lead back to main lodge area. Have been skiing here for almost 20 years. Nice mix of difficulty on trails, friendly staff. There is a sit down restaurant, cafeteria restaurant and a nice bar that is very popular apre ski, live music on Saturdays. Good ski school. Only complaint is that the lodge can be overrun by teenage kids on race days who treat every surface like their bedroom floors. Not Ragged Mtns fault but it can be annoying when you're searching for a spot to sit down to have lunch. More gear storage spaces would be nice.
A family friendly ski resort that's great to get kids into skiing. Their learning center is awesome.
Amazing place to ski or ride, good food, trails and nice community feel.
Great Spring skiing morning at 55 and Sunny before the rain moved in.
First of all the place is beautiful, have facilities for who doesn't have the equipment and the people here are great! If you're thinking about, then go!
This is a medium sized family friendly mountain. They have a great beginners area and lessons for adults and children (book early) including a half day or full day camp for kids. The lodge has a cafe and bar but food is very overpriced. Many families bring coolers with their lunch/snacks and eat at that tables in the lodge. There are two high speed lifts - caution: the jump to the greens on the mountain is a pretty big change from the greens on the beginner area at the bottom of the mountain.
For a Friday excellent. Good snow, not all trail were open.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! They couldn't pay me to play golf there again! The greens are horrendous (cut so short they have bare spots everywhere!). The wooden bridges are a serious safety hazard (missing planks, exposed spikes and nails, rotted wood). Are you kidding me??? In my humble opinion, Ragged Mountain is ripping people off and calling it golf. It's more like a baaaaad nightmare! They have my vote for worst golf course in North America. What a JOKE!!!
Love this place. Top of Spear 1/19/19 About to get a foot or more tomorrow!
Skied here early March of 2020. We really haven t gotten very much snow this season, and as a result the glades were all closed and the trails were pretty much just all hard groomed. There are two terrain parks, though the smaller park is somewhat frustratingly located near the learning area (so you have to hike back up to the quad and the other chairlift everytime you take that option. I went on a weekday and there was nobody available to teach a snowboarding class, which was another disappointment.
