This is a great ski mountain. Affordable. Great for the kids because the way it is set up you can see all the lifts from one spot. Great lift system really moves people with a high speed detachable 6 pack to the main peak and high speed detachable quad to the second peak.
As a ski resort: Nice, not the steepest or biggest mountain out there, but not too far from the Boston area and with a good selection of runs.
Food: The restaurant at the base doesn't look like much but the food is excellent. Great pizza, burgers, soups. Worth staying there for dinner after the lifts close.
Great mountain close to MA border. Fun runs and fast lifts. Not crowded on a Friday afternoon and good conditions with proper grooming. Reasonably priced.
Great local mountain with a decent amount of trails.
A great ski area, especially for the price. A family of 4 can basically ski for half price if they buy their season tickets in the spring. The high speed lift that seats 6 moves quickly and when there are rare lines, they always moves. Roomy lodge and ample parking for this underrated gem of a ski area, which caters to all levels has plenty of trails for everyone.
When there's snow, this place can't be beat among the six or seven mountains within 2 hours of Boston. A high speed quad and six pack chair lift greatly reduces wait times on the busier days. The main trails are always groomed nicely, and each peak offers a different experience. However, when there is snow, the trails in the trees and the glades are outstanding.
Great trails and awesome grooming will never disappoint you!! Inexpensive season pass prices and family atmosphere. A visit to Ragged is highly recommended!!!
Off the beaten path with an awesome 6 pack high speed chair. One of my favorite resorts close to Concord
Small mountain rude learning center and management staff
Nice little resort in central NH. Very nice people and amenities. Not too pricey on liftopia!
Nice new snow but way over sold. Too crowded in the parking lot, lift line, on the slopes and in the lodge! And the senior ticket almost doubled in price. Not recommended.
The skiing at Ragged Mountain was great yesterday. 5 + of snow!! Conditions were perfect for skiing. However, I don t feel like I got my money s worth. I went during Presidents Day weekend so I expected it to be busy but apparently the mountain did not. The mountain didn t mark off lines for the lifts so hundreds of people were mobbing the lift lines. There was no organization at all. I saw a six person lift go up with two guests, multiple times throughout the day!!!The lift lines were about 30-40 minutes long. It was a free for all, guests were responsible for pairing up and filling lifts. The employees weren t doing much to help. I don t understand how a mountain could be so ill prepared.
It's near me, it's small so you can't get lost, and it's great for everyone!
Very Clean.Well groomed and well taken care of the two lodges are kept very tidy.Nice mountain that's never too too crowded and u gotta love the 6 pack.Defibetly a Lil pricy but what mountains aren't these days. GREAT PLACE.Miss the golf though.
Great mountain to learn! Been here a few times to learn, and really good place to go. It doesn't have as many trails as the big mountains, but still enough to enjoy even if you're experienced, but great for someone new. Get lift tickets before you go, and save a lot.
I took my son here to try out the slopes. He said they were fine. Since I don't ski , I walked the grounds and noticed a lot of potholes and puddling along the brick walkways. You'd think a ski resort of some caliber would tend to their grounds.
The staff said there was wifi so i decided to idle away time surfing and watching you tube. Awful!! The resort should not claim to carry wi fi because it is very weak and intermittent at best. Based on my experience and what staff reported there is virtually no wi fi. Gimme a break!
Parking lots are horrible during the winter. Hopefully you brought a 4 wheel drive car because it is deep loose mud. I suggest paving them or at least putting gravel down
I love this mid-sized resort. Lots of variety in terms of terrain and hands down the best learning area in New England. The high speed six pack gets you to the top wicked fast.
Super good instructors and a fun family environment! Not to mention the new BB Woods program where you can learn to ski/board for free! They give you 3 free lessons with rentals included and once you take the 3 lessons you get a season pass for only $69! Then you have the option to buy all new gear for the low price of $299 (adult) and $199 (kids)! Incredible! Highly recommended!
Nice mtn with many accommodations. New Englands only 6 person detachable lift. Come see for yourself or bring the family....
Ragged Mountain is a fantastic, family friendly, enjoyable resort. They're staff, instructor's, and crew we're professional and attentive. I had never been skiing before today, but I was confident and comfortable after going through Ragged's ski instruction. I would recommend Ragged Mountain to anyone who is looking for an easy rewarding experience without being overly crowded, overpriced, or busy.
Decent size mountain, not congested like other big places so you spend more time on the slopes. Fantastic staff,. Always have a great time here.
Me and my family learned how to ski there now we love to ski there. The lines are short, in the lodge and lifts.
Went there in a snow storm, glasses and goggles fogged up, forgot my hat and still had an absolute blast! Great pizza, very friendly staff and easy to navigate! Any day on a mountain is a great day!
Great spot close to Massachusetts, perfect for kids of all skill levels. Serious terrain. Awesome day day trip. Nice apres ski to boot!
Awesome classic New England trails along with great friendly service throughout the facility!
Great place to take the family skiing. Season pass holders for the past several years. Lift lines not normally too bad. However, I rarely go on Saturdays. Taught both kids to ski here. Nice lodge. Not too huge that I can let my older one ski with her friends. Bar service can be really slow at times.
Great little mountain at an affordable price. It does get packed on weekends though.
This is the place my daughter will never forget where she learned how to ski
My first time skiing. My experience was amazing! Staff was friendly and understanding of beginners. Lodge was clean and comfortable. I hope I can get back there real soon.
Good mountain and I go there a lot but there is little tree cover which means I cannot pee as I please on the slopes. Other than that it's nice
Everyone was wonderfully helpful. We were there for the Bebe Wood ski program and are converts for life!
Lots of options, not too busy, fast lifts, great time!
Great mountain. Cozy lodge and better steeps than most small mountains
Great family mountain. Surprisingly good woods when there is enough snow. 2017-2018 snownaking best they've ever had.
Nothing bad to say. Friendly staff, typical price, adequate snow. Had a good time.
Great little mountain on a midweek pow day! No crowd, plenty of terrain for a day, did I mention inexpensive?
Very nice place, was there for a wedding and reception. Food was very good and the staff were great.
Was mainly there for my cousins wedding and liked the place even though it wasn't winter lol. Having the dinner and everything in what I would say is like an big barn that was changed for the resort was nice too but with the heat we had when there, they should have had opened up more of the windows beforehand.
Not a lot of slopes here but it is neat, nice, well organized, reasonably priced, family oriented and great for kids.
Best deal in all New England $259 season pass. Best high speed 6 person chairlift. Incredible learn to ski program, free beginner offers. Large, top to bottom terrain park. Gnarly features, boulders, stumps drop-offs on Showboat for experts, also glades. Sumptuous food with vegetarian choices. No wait during weekdays, only a few minutes on weekends. Parking situation not the best, multiple lots spread out down the road up but they do have a shuttle and can always get a spot close in main lot weekdays.
Greatest place on the north east to ski and enjoy beers and food. Stone Heart Bar. With Megan and Nekeba.
Great skiing, just 2 lifts but they go fast. Bar experience was so so, very limited menu, slow service.
Great family ski area, conditions were good considering the difficult winter.
Hate to tell anyone how great this place is. Because i really enjoy having the 2 high-speed chairlifts serving 2 separate peaks, and all of those immaculately groomed trails to myself. So yah don't go i will not miss you!!!
This ski resort provides an affordable, family friendly environment that is within day trip range of Boston
A great place to spend a day skiing or snowboarding. Good prices.
Good variety of terrain, lift lines moved fast, and conditions were good
Perfect for families! Close enough to Boston for a day trip, this little resort makes the most of what it's got! Lift tickets and season passes are reasonable, lodge amenities are great, and the staff is friendly, helpful, and dedicated to making your experience pleasant. They are constantly tidying and restocking. The lodge has two large fireplaces that are perfect for warming up and the food in both locations is affordable and good. Trails offer a bit of everything. Give this place a try.
Found this place ok for the slopes maybe coz we went too early for the season and all the slopes were not open yet. The staff were very friendly specially the girl staff who helped me was extremely nice and helpful. The restaurant had lot of good food compared to other ski resorts I go.
Small and solid and nice staff. Lose a star for $5 rfid fee..pay for your own tech Rag
I am in the process of learning to ski so my opinion is that of a non experienced person but so far I like this mountain. Instructors are great, conditions have seemed good, and during the week it's not that busy. I haven't explored much of the lodge area yet but the learning center is easy to find and navigate.
The free learn to ski program is amazing! Can't wait for my next lesson!
Joe is a wonderful instructor! Very patient and explanatory! Loved the visit here. Coming back Saturday!!
Awesome place to ski...people have a great time ..lots of events to look forward to
Great Mountain! I enjoy skiing here every weekend in the winter with the other people on Ragged Mountain Ski Team! A great place to enjoy a day with family and/or friends! I highly recommend this mountain for you will really enjoy yourself!
Not too small and not too big. Good enough for intermediate skills skiers like me. What i like most are short lines at the lift and well groomed trails. Barnyard lift is kind of antique, but other two lifts are good
Roads are poorly maintained as well as the exterior of the lodge. No bathrooms at the outside ceremony location which is far away from the lodge. Overall in poor shape.
Went for a wedding. Nice setting made for a fun and intimate reception.
Cheapest season pass I've ever seen. Bebe woods learn to ski free took 3 of my kids and got them to a chair lift in 3 lessons. Kids 5 and under ski free, so this is really helpful for bigger families like mine. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is for my 6 year old. She was too old to ski for free and too young for the Bebe woods program (ages 7 and up). They really need to have some kind of deal for 6 year olds.
As for the mountain itself, two lifts to the peaks are detached so your chair time is short and slope time maximized. Great trails from circle to diamond, glades, to terrain parks, everything you'd want for a great day or weekend.
*****Edit******
My last year skiing here. New process, new fees, I'll find another mountain. Don't say we have a new system then charge me an extra $35 on top of the $1400 I prepaid last year. Customer service is totally unacceptable. Next year, new mountain.
The skiing was good, with good rates for New Hampshire residents. Lines were a bit long though, even though there weren't all that many people. An extra lift would be nice.
Such a great place. I learned to ski here. Instructors are great. Bebe Wood program is one of a kind.
Hardly any lines and you park right in front.
I give the mountain a 4 and the park staff a 1, they were extremely rude when we tried to use the park. They told us we couldn't go off rails when we in fact could and yelled at us for things they said we couldn't do when they in reality didn't want to have to groom do there job. So if you don't run in to the park staff it's a great mountain.
