The managers of these place charged me for the room that was already paid for by Priceline. I noticed the extra charge on my cc and called them back. The front desk couldn't do anything about it and in order to talk to the manager you I had to call them about 7 times. Finally, the manager reached out and she said they "accidentally" charged me for the room and promised to credit back my credit card. It's been 5 weeks and I haven't received my money back. Tried to call again and left a voicemail for the manager, never heard back. Reported fraud with my credit card. Don't waste your time staying here, the management of this place is lying to your face and being very unethical. Terrible experience !!! And a clear fraud going on.

The room was pretty big and had two rooms and two full bath for $387. The thing that I don t like the most about this place is the customer service, horrible. They are so slow and they take so much time to just answer one question. They even leave you on hold for such a long time. I didn t like the customer service so I wouldn t go back there.

I try to keep a positive outlook on things, but I did not have a great experience here. The lock to our room was broken and we waited 20 minutes for the front desk to aknowledge us. When I went to check in on why this was taking so long for someone to be sent up, the person at the front desk lied to me and said that they sent someone up to a room (with a room number that didn't exist) and that there was a 'do not disturb' tag on the door. The people at the front desk also made errors in the receipt which made us pay for parking twice. Overall was frustrated with my stay.

Our bellman, David, was absolutely amazing with greeting us, assisting with doors, providing dining recommendations, and obtaining transportation for us. Our room was exceptionally comfortable. The Raffaello is in an excellent location convenient to many downtown venues. We'll be back!

We had never stayed here before and say a Groupon ...

We had never stayed here before and say a Groupon Special that we decided to take advantage of. I reserved a Grand Suite (we had 4 adults total) for two nights received confirmation that the room would be available. When we checked in on Dec 27 we were given a key to our room. We want up to our room and were surprised that it was a king room. As soon as we opened the door the phone was ringing it was the clerk at the front desk. She informed us that the Grand Suite that we had purchased was not available and she would give us a $50 refund for the evening. It's pretty hard to put 4 adults in one king bed so I went to talk with the clerk. The only other option was to either move to a double room or purchase another room for my adult kids to stay in for $99. We purchased another room in addition to the room that was not correct. Very frustrated! There was a letter from the Ann the GM in our room that stated if we had any issues to call her phone directly. I left a message for Ann. It's now Monday afternoon and I have not heard anything from her. On Saturday they did move us into the style of room that we had reserved and to the hotels credit, it was very nice. Very disappointed in how the entire staff handled our Friday issue and that we were forced to purchase a separate room for our adult kids.

Really fair prices, the staff were upbeat and helpful, and most of the other customers were also very friendly and talkative. The breakfast seemed decent, the room was pretty nice too. Overall I'd recommend and return!

My first time in Chicago, and they help me to get a very pleasant experience.

My first time in chicago and they helped me a lot to have a great experience. They explain and tell the locals that you should go. The facilities of the premises are very good and the rooms surprised us by how spacious they are.

The room was nice at first until we noticed the bed bugs on the bathroom floor. One was crawling into the bathroom and then my boyfriend and I started looking everywhere and found another one on the rug. Asked to have our room switched and they only moved us across the hall! Never again!

The hotel was nice but our rooms were not ready when they were suppose to be. Some were not ready until after 6 pm and we had a rehearsal dinner to go to. Staff really didn't seem to care either.

This is a nice hotel close to the magnificent mile. The bell hop was very friendly and willing to offer suggestions. I liked that they had flavored water (lemon, mint, cucumber) available in the lobby every day. The roof top bar had very good drinks but be prepared to pay for them.

Great location for access to the hottest avenue in town which is Michigan avenue full of cool shops mainly for women. As for the bedroom the bed is good with excellent linen, has microwave, coffee maker, fridge and a very typical US closet. Well cared and hospitable professionals. The negatives are the acoustics, it is quite noisy and only has two small elevators for every hotel which sometimes at peak times generates a wait.

Perfectly located older hotel. While many of the factors in the negative reviews have some truth - slow elevator, mediocre bed, etc.- they are way too harsh. Service was great, room was totally clean and self parking was a relative bargain for the area. If you can get this hotel at a good price, don't pass it by.

Pros:

Pros:
- Some of the staff was nice
- The suites are very pretty
- The outside of the hotel is beautiful
- Large TV (but nothing to watch)
- Free Wifi
- The security is great

Cons:
- I went with 500$ for two nights, they kept 200$ a night for any "extra expenses" - which there were basically none, no movies to buy, hardly anything in the mini bar - so they held 400$ of my money until I was back home from vacation for no reason, so that really ruined the hotel for me

- On top of that, they then told me the money wouldn't be back on my card for an entire week after my stay there

- The TV has very few channels and no movies to rent

- The elevators are way too small, to get four people inside you have to be touching elbow to elbow the whole ride - I don't think five people fitting inside one would be possible, so getting your luggage to your room can be a bit difficult

- If you don't have a suite, your room will be very small, only about a foot of walking space around the bed

- and fair warning, Taking a taxi from the airport to this hotel will be over 50$

I really wanted to love the hotel because I had gone there to celebrate my birthday and winning a grand prize in a contest hosted in Chicago, but since the hotel basically took all of my money before my vacation started, it was rather hard to enjoy the stay

Pros - The location is good and is close to almost all the moorings in the city. Access to buses and metro nearby. The room is large and comfortable. Cons - The service is not the best and the internet does not work in the rooms (only in the lobby). The elevators, only two, are small and not sufficient for the amount of rooms / guests. There are several other nearby options that should be evaluated.

Absolutely perfect. Beautiful, clean, comfortable and spacious room. Staff was so friendly and helpful. The location is great, next to magnificent mile. Of course, downtown parking is always ridiculous, but at least here, they have self parking (still valet though) just a block from hotel and half the cost of regular valet.

I and my family really enjoyed our time over there. It was an excellent choice for a great price. The room is clean and extremely comfortable. Definitely, I'll be back there again. The staff are well taking care of every details. The location is awesome and close to the most of the must visited attractions in Chicago.

Went to this hotel with my boyfriend for our anniversary. WE appreciated the customer service that the receptionist gave us. The bar is small but very cozy. WE purchased the deal of one night from living social and gave us a handicapped room and a bad view. I suggest asking for a particular room before arrival.

Friendly staff, punctual service, old rooms and a bit run down. Equipped with free WiFi (which is not cheap in US hotels) Great location, next to the John Hankook center. All in all recommended.

Stayed here at a very busy weekend wlafter the cubs won the world series and an international rugby game of the NZ All Blacks vs Ireland. This hotel gave us the best price for the quaity. In a great location that is easily accessible. Service needs improvement as there was a bit of a mix up with the rooms but overall worth it.

My girlfriend and I came to Raffaello for a long w...

My girlfriend and I came to Raffaello for a long weekend. We had high hopes, as the reviews were decent and everything was very clean. Sadly, we left very dissapointed and tired. If there was a 0 star option, we would be selecting that vs. 1 star.

1. Fast foward to later Thursday night we realized that the club above us on the 18th floor had little to no insulation between it and the room (they must have had a very ninimal budget when adding this feature to the hotel). We could barely sleep.. The bed frame itself was moving it was so loud. This happened EVERY night and every morning furniture was being moved around at the crack of dawn by their clean up crew. We realized we wouldn't be able to sleep past 6 or 7 any morning.

2. The table in the living room was near unusable. Anything heavier than a bottle of water would cause objects to fall off the table. I could go grab a table from a garage sale for $10 that was nicer. In addition, the coffee table was unsafe as the glass does not properly fit the frame.

3. Good luck getting comfortable, the thermostat is regulated by season, so there was only the option of heat in the room and being on the 17th floor, heat rises. In attempt to allow some cool air into the room we opened the windows and received yet another pleasent surprise, deteriorating cigarette butts in the window sills. This was alarming and made us question the cleaning integrity of the entire hotel and staff running it.

4. To top our stay off, we made the front desk aware of some of these issues and were recipricated with nothing but an "I'm sorry that happened, we could have given you another room." and we were sent on our way. Not even a call to the manager, slight discount to our stay or a concerned look. Fun fact: our company has a Chicago office and we will make it known to our coworkers to steer clear of doing business with such an establishment. So, here we sit on the train back to Milwaukee tired and wishing we would have done a bit more research. I highly recommend avoiding Raffaello and paying an extra 10 or 15 dollars to stay somewhere else. They didn't seem to care whether or not we had a stay that would make us want to come back.

From the unprofessional door security to the small uncomfortable beds and the complicated 50.00 parking this place was a disappointment from start to finish. We would not recommend this place to our worst enemy. Might as well saved the extra money and stayed at the motel 6

Snacks are not free :-). When I got to the hotel after a long day, peanuts and water next to the coffee machine looked so good! I opened them, left my bag and went downstairs to meet my colleagues. They were looking at me and said oh, this is what you gave your credit card info for . I came back in a the room, sure enough! It was a small paper put behind all the snacks that stated the prices. I do not travel often, and that was really sneaky. I wish they would be more clear with this. Is not about 16 dolars that I have to pay now, it s just about their way of doing it. Spoke to front desk, recommended the change so customers will not be deceived anymore, he just rushed to hung up the phone. Lesson learned!

Great rooms, very spacious. Elevators can be annoying. Very narrow, can barely squeeze 6 people in there. They are very slow and they break often (only 2 regular elevators!). So there can be a 5+ min wait/line to get on the elevator. Drumbar is nice, seating can be hard to come by for larger parties. Can get overcrowded.
