Quiet, calm .. but the trouble is, he doesn t pull on 4 stars: a solid three.

Convenient location, beautiful view of the old city, 5 minutes walk to the center

I think I was given their worst room - I can't imagine the rest of the hotel is this bad. Tiny, badly in need of upkeep - felt like I was back in the 80s.
Room was too hot (a noisy radiator by the bed) and no way to switch it off or open the window for ventilation. The only solution was to sleep with the air conditioning on.
No tissues, no drinking water in the room. And hard to sleep, you could hear the traffic outside constantly.
The hotel has a pool, but no dressing gowns or slippers provided in the rooms.
So you have to get changed down in the spa centre.
The spa centre was terribly unclean, with mould on all the shower walls.
The sauna had no water to put on the coals, and no relaxation area for in between sauna sessions.
The pool had electric cables hanging out from between the beams over the water.
Both the pool and gym are full of non-hotel guests, making it very crowded for guests.
No concierge or bellboy seen in the 2 days I have been there.
The reception was friendly though and gave me a bath robe and slippers when I asked.
The restaurant had disco music playing loudly which took away any peaceful, intimate atmosphere they were trying to create. The food is not too pricey though.

The hotel has seen its best days and hardly renovated. We stayed in a family room which was very shabby and seen her best days. The water from the faucet was rusty. The air conditioning worked but made quite a noise. The plus is that all three children got their own bed in a spacious room. Breakfast adequate.

In away I liked this place even when it is on the wrong side of the river, complicated to walk to the old town. The hotel is old, but still good. Price worthy.

Easy to transport. The breakfast is nice. Services are good and people are friendly.

The male staff at the time of check-in is unfriendly. Even though I had booked a room with a bathtub, I was guided to the room without a bathtub, so I went to the front desk again to change the room. Accommodation tax 1 per night is required. [It was a reservation through a travel agency]

Rooms are clean, food is good, great wifi. Best bartender I've had at a hotel

Though thick slice of parmesan cheese, at breakfast slightly before official start, made nice start to the day :b

Old-fashioned 4-star hotel, it deserves a rejuvenation a little in everything, except the breakfast room

Very nice breakfast, superb smoked salmon, nice staff. Poor sound isolation in the room, especially from the coridor. Hotel a bit worn-out but clean, very comfy bed. Not all personel speaks english. Superb view from the window at night if u have a room to river side. Outside environment around the hotel very unpleasant for walking in winter season.

Located by the river looking out to the main city. The location itself seems run down as there is nothing much going on around the hotel. Spent a day in meeting so can't comment on rooms or other facility except the restaurant. Good choice food and drink but can be very slow. We had to wait an hour for our lunch.

Old and dirty room with shameful bathroom (in Italy it would have been a poor three-star) bad food. Only the position is saved. The center can be reached in an instant and the view of the river is spectacular

Stayed in the hotel during my work trip to Riga. Service was very friendly, we were allowed to check in a lot earlier as our rooms were already made. We also were able to leave our luggage after check out. The location was nice, some rooms had a view on the Daugava river.
But all the good stuff ends there. The hotel is old. Smells-like-soviet-times kind of old. Although hotel management tries to keep it up (freshly made comfortable beds, fully equipped bathroom), nothing can hide age of the building. Rooms are not soundproofed, so get ready to hear your neighbor sneezing.
Also, breakfast cost 15 , which was a way more expensive than you would pay in a cafe somewhere in the city center. Therefore, I expected good food and variety of choices. But that simply did not happen. Breakfast was dull and poor, and definitely did not worth money paid. Very lactose intolerance unfriendly.

Good hotel from the time of the Soviets, a bit run down and with many guests something noisy and with access difficulties for breakfast.

Excellent situation Next to the library and 10 minutes from downtown crossing the bridge. Huge rooms, with living room, two bathrooms and kitchen. Lovely staff Buffet meal very rich and varied. The best .. the fantastic views from the windows that overlook the river !! Great .. I will return without a doubt.

Radison as Radison, this one could do some interior refreshments, the view to old Town is nice do.

Hotel has big comfortable rooms. There is sauna, fitness and swimming pool for disposal and in the price of the room. Breakfast and lunch has better than average quality. Hotel is very close to city center. Pleasant place to stay.

Wonderful hotel with quite close to the old town. Room towards city with balkony was clean, big and morern and had amazing view. Tram stop very close to the hotel. Hotel had also good gym, sauna and swimming pool

I xs in the room for the arrival of heat. 2 hours cooled. Cons Razet missing near the bed. Wardrobe for some reason in the bathroom uncomfortable. But at least the condo is not blowing on the bed. Floors below 4 hike sucks

Hotel wasn't quit what we expected. Hotel security is not optimal, everyone can get to (not in!) any room, including the presidential suit. The bathroom needs modern update and the bath wasn't all clean. Stayed here 3 nights, got beds made up everyday, which us nice. When we came back the last evening, we noticed our locally bought sweets n cookies were gone, which we were very much looking forward to taste. The small bags were ON the desk, not in the bin (no were near the bin either) and it was obvious there was still something IN the bags. Went down to the desk, got told they were sorry, but didn't do anything to offer as an alternative. No snacks during the movie it was. Housekeeping shouldn't be like this!

A bit dated hotel, however room prices is super good. Also in contrary to general Radisson policy breakfast is almost always included into price

It s a nice place to stay. Close to everything you look for.
Fantastic view. Nice food and courteous staff. They help you till the problem is solved. Highly Recommended for apples, snacks, breakfast and drinks. I would love to spend my next summer here too.

A've been here at end of October and for me it was to cold in room.

Fluent customer service, extensive breakfast, the room remained at a reasonable temperature despite the heat. Good parking next to the hotel. Small minus the small size and old fashion of the room, but everything was working.

Great service, check in was amazing even though they were really busy but the older gentleman was very friendly to all. Room was fine and the breakfast was excellent. My tip is to order the omelette. Good espresso in the bar served, only 1 tv to watch sports. No special offer offered like beer and burger but prices were fair and there was a piano player on the last night. Very family orientated hotel with a massive gym and pool. My kids loved it here. Stayed here a year ago and didn t recognise the place when we came to the lobby, well done Radisson Daugava, we will be back again next year

If you like to experiment, you are welcome here. For the shower is not without reason a guide in the bathroom.

Nice and service minded staff. Check-in was quick and professional and I was recognized as a benefit member and upgraded. I was there for three days and the staff were on hand to help and contribute to an extra pleasant stay in Riga.

The environment is a bit outdated and if you happen to visit on a hot day/the conditioner will be a mere help.

Ooooold fashion style rooms. Musty smell, damaged wall paper.... but bedding is awesome

A hotel that has everything you need. Absolute recommendation: a room with a view towards the old town. The in-house pool is also very and the breakfast is lovingly presented. Were very satisfied

Good old hotel. Meal in the morning is the same every morning, but even in three days the appetite is just as good. The elevators are fast.

Hotel is nice side of RIGA, but we were very disappointed to not get any information about swimming pool is not open!It's biggest reason we choose this hotel, because we were there whit our 5 years old sun!But people working there was hospitalised!Our Rom was 209.

The hotel is in a good location. Its about a 20 minute walk over the river to the old town where there is lots of bars and restaurants. The rooms are in need of refurbishing and the decor is very tired, but are clean. There are no safes to secure your valuables in the rooms. Breakfast was good plenty of selection and the staff are friendly and the service is good. All in all if you are going for a weekend or just transiting its ideal for getting your head down.
