Thought a while about this. I wanted to rate this hotel higher but its service is just not as good as really top hotels. I'm not sure if it is just a China thing? In general the hotels I stayed in, in Tokyo, Seoul or even Singapore are just better. Location and rooms are great though but things like the buttons to call laundry don't work. Heck I pressed the emergency button by accident thinking someone will kick my door down in seconds but no, nothing. At breakfast some of the people at the stations clearly did enjoy being there and were so slow

(+) Perfect location, very close to People's square station (exit 8) and sightseeing bus stop. Nice rooms and a lot of space, view from some room is very fantastic. Staff is good in English and helpful.

(-) Elevators are out of order, a lot of people needed to wait for a long time without responsible staff to fix the situation. In addition, we did not received any useful information from concierge when we expected the better information from local people, everywhere that we asked, they recommended only to take the taxi. Finding information from the internet provided you the better information and the proper ways than hotel's concierge.

Highly recommended!!

Highly recommended!!
Staff are very friendly and polite!!
If there is an issue always contact a manager and they will satisfy you. Managers in this hotel care about their guests and will refund or discount any service that was not to your satisfaction, they will even through in some compensation drinks!!
Rooms are clean and the sizes are very good!
Location is very nice for tourists as shopping and many things are within walking distance!
Also the hotel is connected to a shopping mall!

Great hotel in Shanghai with western style like service. Internet is not blocked to local sites, the rooms are modern and clean. Biggest breakfast i've seen in any hotel with country areas where you can find specialities from any country. Service personal ist good and helps wherever its is possible.

A good Business hotell.

A good Business hotell.
Good rooms, great location.
Close to Nanjing road which of course can be both good and bad depending on personal interests.
The crowd outside can be a bit too pushy occasionally.

The hotel offers good service, a great breakfast and free internet access.

This was the last time here. Returning after seven years I find this hotel in a bad condition.
Service quality very bad, used up mattresses, linen and towels, breakfast quality 3* at best, internet speed very slow with full government control like 10 years ago.
You can see clearly the European manager left.

Worked forced service to deliver bags to the room. Delivery is sometimes missed. You promised free access to the business lounge where I later became degrading from when I had already settled. Two stars saved for the price is reasonable.

It is a good hotel of good international standard. Great views from the higher floors and in the center of Shanghai. However, I saw a lot of problems just by staying there one night. The restaurant closes early and room service ripped off my order for food for an hour without offering any compensation.
It is also dreary with pimps outside that were unpleasantly stressed.

Conveniently located next to a crossing of three metro lines and within easy reach of all major sights. Spacious rooms with good views of the city although the design is rather outdated and resembles boring interiors of Marriott hotels rather than modern and chic Radissons found in other countries. Bar and restaurant on the top floors. I received special treatment thanks to my concierge status but even that was not enough for business lounge access.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in August 2018...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in August 2018. The hotel is not a 5 star by any definition, the hospitality industry has to offer. It is fairly a 3.5 Star or at best a 4 Star. The property is quite old - not in a quaint luxe way - and doesn't seem to have any major renovations in years if not decades. My room was on the 32nd floor and the corridor leading from the elevator to the room had an insane foul smell. I complaint to the management 3 times and 1 time directly with the duty manager of the hotel. The clumsy staff just used air freshener to mask the smell that was pretty much there for rest of my staff. The rooms have thin walls and the housekeepers will bang doors and drag their trolleys by 9am, every day. The bed had no comforter, and the quilt is as the thinnest I have seen. The Mattress also felt like a few decade old. The Restaurants have got great views of the city's Skyline, but the food quality is below par and doesn't commensurate with the excruciating high cost of super luxe diners. The Health club is reminiscent to local council facility and for instance, the Jacuzzi is just a warm water tub. Location is right opposite People's square and the area is quite noisy. So if you on the lower floors of the Park Tower, you might be subjugated to music and noise. Conclusion: Had they market is as a 3-4 Star mid-range hotel, I would have been more open to the mediocre facility in a great Shanghai location

A good hotel near the Nanjing Road which takes you down to the Bund. The breakfast had a large variety which is good. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I recommend this hotel if you are staying over the weekend in Shanghai.

They claim they have WiFi - but they do not.

I have just had two arguments with management who claim China in general doesn t allow search engines or Facebook. What rubbish.

I have just come from Guangzhou where it was all working fine. I ve travelled to Shanghai for 20 years with no problems, as little as a few months ago. Good WiFi at the Marriott. You can use search engines and Facebook. In fact anywhere.

Just not at the Radisson Blu Shanghai.

I even turned off my WiFi to show her it was only blocked IN THIS HOTEL!!!

I will never come here again.

Oh, and don t order the USD$60 steak. They used a powdered packed sauce that tasted like water.

Never again.....

Very good hotel with a privileged location, a few meters from People's Square station and Nanjing pedestrian street, at the heart of the city center. An impressive view of the city from our room, as well as from the revolving restaurant on More

Very good location, wonderful location with wonderful views from the high floors. Convenient for a daily or weekly stay in Beijing. Close to the hotel there are convenient public transport, metro and bus options. You can count on the full assistance of the staff, both in terms of accommodation and service, and to help you with information or organization to the sights of the city. The rooms are decent. In the morning you can enjoy a very good breakfast. All rooms have large TVs and all household and toilets.

The most cost-effective five-star hotel on Nanjing Road! Although relatively old, the brand still has a very elegant temperament after all. The location of the hotel is excellent, just beside the No. 7 People's Square, the hotel is directly connected to the new world mall next to it, and the nearby restaurants and convenience stores are very complete. Within walking distance to the Bund and Nanjing Road, next to the International Hotel, I recommend to buy butterfly cakes, very delicious! The fly in the ointment is that the hotel does not have its own parking lot. It needs to share the parking lot of the New World Shopping Mall next to it. There are not enough parking spaces and the charge is 72 a day.

A clearly approved hotel but no more than that. The room dark and drab, the bathroom crowded. But the staff were helpful and there are several restaurants in the house. Skybar on the 47th floor fun, but the rotating 45th restaurant is better. Well located close to both green areas and the shopping districts.

Big rooms and convenient location make this a great hotel. Three subway lines are accessible directly across the street, along with buses and plentiful taxis. I recommend getting a deluxe room overlooking Peoples Park, which have nice views and are surprisingly quiet despite the central location.

Average hotel. Somewhat old and tacky lobby design. Rooms are okay. Didn't care for room carpeting since it gets really dirty without proper cleaning. Breakfast is somewhat disappointing - lack choices and food is just so average in terms of quality. The bread pudding looks like soggy bread in milk. Sigh. The vegetables are over cooked. On the bright side, gym is rarely used and the pool is big enough. The best thing about the hotel is it's prime location.

GOOD LOCATION NEAR THE BUND

GOOD LOCATION NEAR THE BUND
Radisson Blu si a reliable hotel brand and this one is no different. Well maintained facility with bilingual concierge staff. A good accommodation choice is you want to explore the Bund and the Nanjing Road shopping strip.
Not far from the metro train station and, of course taxis are readily available to flag down!

Breakfast of low quality, taste is bland, and juices are sickly sweet, chefs can't even make poached eggs, they come out hard boiled regardless if you ask for soft medium or hard, the pastries are of very poor quality the youghurt is sickly sweet, the fruit is tasteless, the room itself is situated on the front of the park and until 3 am people are dancing and singing so it takes 30 mins for you to get to sleep so take ear plugs with you, the room is not correctly temperature controlled, the air con will wake you up as air blows really loud, the soap and amenities is of Poor quality, the sheets and dooner cover makes you overheat, hence why always pick the Hilton hotel group even there 3rd grade level hotel like the Hilton Garden Inn, they have better bathroom amenities and sheets, it's these little things that make the big things in a hotel, on a positive note the pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room is fantastic. Location is excellent too.

Went to the 47th for 6 for a couple of drinks. Was grossly overcharged. When I questioned the 133 rmb price for an orange juice and a beer I was told the "tax" was very high. Robery.... Will never go there again.

Nice bar at the top of one tower with good views. The band that plays in the evenings are really good. The hotel room smelled sewer and the air conditioning sounded bad at night. The breakfast was nothing further, having eaten better breakfast at three star hotels. You get the coffee yourself in a slow old machine. Will choose another hotel next time.

Very nice hotel and staff. You can feel its age - neither good nor bad in my opinion - but the rooms are dimly lit, which is typical though not my preference. Mine had what I'd describe as almost a reception right inside the door (pictured). Most rooms seem to have it based on what my colleagues told me.

Did not stay at hotel but visited the rooftop rotating restaurant. Overall the whole place feel a bit dated and could use some renovation to modernize and invigorate the place. May be we visited around 3pm, place was quiet and service quite slow. The view was ok, can't really see the skyscrapers but do get a good view of People's Square.

There is a revolving restaurant on the 45th floor and a bar on the 47th floor, both have an amazing panoramic view of Shanghai, especially the restaurant. Everyone is allowed to enter, not only the guests of the hotel. There is a separate elevator, which does not require to hold a card to go upstairs.

Perfect location. Clean, well maintained. Helpful staff, can also get assistance from English speakers.
Not as futuristic or "high-tech" as other hotels around, but very unique and very easy to locate from the street when trying to navigate.

The Radisson Blu Hotel is conveniently located in central Shanghai. The tower, revolving restaurant and lounge in the tower are impressive. The rooms are nice and spacious and have upscale amenities. The rooms are a bit dated but kept up. The closest subway stop is a quick 5 minute walk.

Location is perfect! Located at People's Square subway station (Exit 8 is the nearest to hotel) and surrounded with lots of restaurants/department stores as well as easy to get around the city. The view from 31fl is good. The room is clean, staff is friendly but I can't give the five stars because

-We traveled with family(elderly parents), we booked 3 rooms 4 months in advance to make sure everything would be perfect for them, when we arrived, just only one room which was ready to check-in(it was okay) but when we got back to hotel in the late evening, the extra-bed was still not be ready. We asked for the hotel 2 times and finally they told us they couldn't provide us the extra bed cause it was full, gave us the reason that it was high season and gave us choices of 3 vouchers of complimentary drinks or refund instead (how can you imagine?) it was not about money at all but it was about I didn't have a place to sleep!) I decided to talk to their manager, she finally gave us a no-window room. We moved everything and finished at the late night. (Thanks god)

-Every staff is nice but don't ask for the local tips from hotel concierge. I personally can speak/read Chinese but I wanted to make sure to get the best tips from locals but we asked them about 2-3 times and wherever we wanted to go, they just recommend us to go by taxi (they always say it's far which is not at all!) Most of the places in Shanghai you can travel by subway, it's really convenient even you travel with elderly people.

Stayed for a few nights. Establishment is pretty dated, but still comfortable room, bed and amazing location. Right on Nanjing, by people's square, seconds from the metro. Has a direct connection to the mall beside, so you don't even have to get outside. The mall has great food choices and can also lead you to people's square metro if you didn't want to get out. Automated exchange teller downstairs with great rate and ease of exchange. 24 hrs restaurant, 45th floor bar, amazing view from the top. However, the surroundings of the building are pretty dirty for a 5* hotel. The space in the room is a little congested, the heater had a really hard time keeping the temp above 22 degree Celsius. The wind was making noises with some loose structures outside on the facade. The WiFi was crazy slow. The only reason I'm still giving it 5 starts, is the awesome service. Starting from the reception to housekeeping to concierge, everyone you talk to and whatever you need, they will accommodate. They also have airport shuttle for 80 cny pp one way. Convenient.
