Cool beer hall - I loved the ambiance and my giant pretzel. I am not so into German beers, but if you are don't let the 'only 4' stars deter you. I just wasn't really able to find a beer I loved, but I would come back with friends, the table set up is nice for groups, and a must for tourists. Its an impressive space.

Average bar. Very very loud crowd, you litterely just cannot hear anything from 2 ft. Food is average too. Beer selection is not the best. Service is not good, servers are slow and not responsive. Not recommended, there are a lot of different places around the area that are much better.

Such a nice atmosphere and service. The food is fast and yummy. They offer several different type of mustard. The pull pork and sausage are very good.
Prices are kind of affordable and comes with great service from the bartenders. The design of the place is enjoyable and very hipsters'. Definitively a nice gem in Williamburg, Brooklyn.

Huge beer garden with plenty of options. Nice vibe but when it's crowded like a from or sat night you gotta fight to get the bartenders attention at yhrain bar where theyake mixed drinks. If you just want a beer it's a lot easier to head over to the other bars inside.

Apparently one of the oldest biergartens in NYC. Fun, fun, fun. The biergarten is set up like a courtyard. Bench seating in the middle is surrounded by little cafes serving various food items. They often have a band performing in the middle. There's a good chance you'll go through several pitchers of beer while you're there. Standard biergarten brews were exactly what I wanted to go with my sausage and pretzels. Go with as many friends as you can find.

One the best biergartens in the city - the patio is wonderful, the beers are great, the service is friendly and prompt and the food is unpretentious and delicious. This is my go-to beer garden in NYC.

Crowd a little skewed towards families that can't let go of partying but the venue is fabukous and the food is inanely delicious. Order a pretzel if nothing else, thank me later.
Beware the strollers !!!

Nice atmosphere, very lively beer hall with good beer. Unfortunately I was hungry and ordered the "Spicy Hungarian Goulash & Dumplings" which was awful. The supposed "pork medallions" were so dry it was like chewing on sawdust. The "dumplings" were some kind of little donuts. The overall flavor was bland.
If not for the good beer and overall good atmosphere I'd give it one star.

Not a bad bar on its night, but tried to see a band there tonight after a nice dinner and wasn't allowed in because we had a doggie bag of leftovers. The bouncer's suggestion of "garbage can is right there" was accurate but not super helpful. Not the doorman's fault, stupid policy.

Ok, so I know it's more about the drinks than the food, but the people are pretty rude. I sat for a long time without being served, or greeted. I finally went to the bar and asked the bartender if they had table service. He was pretty rude. I waited a good bit longer, and finally asked to see the manager. He was super nice and took my food order. The food was decent, though expensive. I am sure it's a great place to hang with friends and have a beer. It's not a great place to grab a meal. Good beer selection, which is to be expected since it is a Biergarten after all.

I love this place, I've yet to go to a beerhall in Germany but I imagine that this place isn't far off. They got liter beers that are made on the premises, a grill where you can buy bratwurst and currywurst and just a great atmosphere. They also have live music on the weekends, you can't ask for more.

Get here early to get a good spot. Come hungry to eat their tremendous bratwurst from the grill. Come thirsty to consume one (or more) of their wonderful European beers. Enjoy the live music(potentially) and wonderful and professional staff.

When I was in the bathroom stall here, I heard someone ask their friend if the song playing in the bar was by Fallout Boy (it was). The friend said they didn't know. I knew, but I thought it would be weird from their perspective if a stranger in a bathroom stall said 'yes, this song is by Fallout Boy', so I didn't say anything. I hope he found out the answer to his question.

Great beer hall to get good tasting German and European beers. The place is big and can hold large groups. It is divided into three sections. The staff and the food are also very good. (except the spaetzle - not sure what it is, but it is not spaetzle!)

Great beer garden with a long list of German and Belgian brews. The food here is solid and pairs great with the drinks. I also really enjoy the vibe here particularly the back bar section with its community style picnic tables.

Pro tip: they do awesome live music on the weekends

How many ways can I say I love Radegast? Let's see... The location is wonderful in Williamsburg--not too far from the river and not too far from Bedford Ave. It's a huge space with an unexpected old European vibe, but then again it is a European-style biergarten. The selection of beers is always a joy to peruse; I've never ordered a beer I didn't love here. I highly recommend their pretzel with house spicy mustard and beer cheese (You'll thank me later). What keeps me coming back to Radegast is the community vibe. It's not just the communal tables--where after a few beers everyone is friends--but also the weekend afternoons when families come in to watch local bands play. It's really a cool vibe. I bring all my friends who visit to Radegast at least once!

The place looks nice, beer selection is standard for a German beer hall. The food was good. There is live music. But the local crowd ruins this place. You can see it on the bartenders faces. The patrons here are vapid, self indulged and uncultured. It's the typical Williamsburg crowd. They've come to live in this part of Brooklyn because it's the most expensive but still 'urban' enough to slum in and therefore the best, so it doesn't really matter where they go to dine or drink. As long as they can be seen by other wealthy trust fund 20-30 somethings, they'll have some sense of self worth as they stumble back to their multi-million dollar townhomes.

You like beer? You like sausages? Are you close to Williamsburg? This place is a worthy stop for really great food and beer at their indoor beer hall. Can get crowded but that's part of the fun! Be sure to try the steak tartare

Service was atrocious. Waitress brought us our first beer, then disappeared for about 30 minutes... and it's not like we saw her walking around helping other tables. She was just... gone. I walked up to the bar to get another beer and ask about our server, but for some reason the bartender was annoyed that I would ask. When I asked where our server might be, his reply was, "Well what do you want?"

"I don't know man, maybe some service? And our food would be nice."

The server finally showed herself, and when I told her we had been neglected for a half hour, we received a nonchalant "sorry". Ultimately, all our food was brought out by the food runner from the kitchen, so the small tip we did leave her was not earned.

Lots of beer flying around, sausages sizzling, and loud music. If you are in the Williamsburg area and need a drink, you have to stop by here at least once. Most of the sausages are delicious (except the Weisswurst, too mushy for me). The pretzel here is a must get, super warm and fluffy, nothing at all like the dry pretzels you get outside in a street cart. All the beers are great, they got authentic German sizes too. All in all, a great place to hang out with friends for any event. Beer, sausage, pretzels and music!

Radegast is really terrific: cavernous space, excellent food, great beer. Plenty of room to spread out and get crazy. Special events are uniformly excellent, and a visit here is sure to be part of a memorable night out. Crowd can lean toward the frat-boyish, but fingers crossed.
